What happens when a female best friend fantasizes that she is breaking the relationship of a couple by her beauty and charm?
Anna (Anzu Sayuri) is everyone’s dream; beautiful, intelligent, kind and elegant. But in this drama, she is not the heroine… it is her best friend Riri (Becky). Riri is a girl who fantasizes that the whole world is in love with her through her bizarre misunderstandings. She even feels sorry for Anna who is always chased by the boys… as she believes that they are using Anna to become acquainted with her own self.
Anna, her best friend, knows that Riri's misconceptions are caused by Riri's misunderstandings, and as dedicated herself in protecting her hopeless friends. What happens, then, when Anna is suddenly in a relationship? | | TV Asahi |

A light romantic comedy. This is Becky's first lead role and she doesn't disappoint. They're not taking themselves seriously, like when someone is replace with a dummy.

Another drama I went in to with no expectations, and another drama I’ve completed feeling wholly satisfied. For her first role as the lead protagonist, Becky does an amazing job. She’s everything her character needed to be: irritating, frustrating, annoying, pathetic, and downright unnerving. At first it was hard to watch the episodes because her character made the experience so exasperating. Yet, the more I watched, the more I realized that the drama itself was getting frustrated with her as well. The other characters expressed what I, the viewer, felt, and it dawned upon me that this was the point. As a viewer, I was SUPPOSED to feel frustrated and annoyed, the narrator constantly reminds me that I should.
This drama is a light comedy that makes fun of itself. The animation is really… well… animated, and some scenes are downright hilarious because of its lame antics (characters being replaced by dummies comes to mind). Kyoutaro (Kashiwabara Shuji) and Anna (Anzu Sayuri) make perfect secondary characters, and without either (especially Kyoutaro, for which Kasiwabara did an excellent and hilarious job in portraying), the drama simply wouldn’t exist.

It's Becky! While this drama is actually more or less and parody or spoof, and makes fun of the characters in the story -it does get annoying and over-bearing after a while. Still, I think the drama wants you to feel this way and pushes for you to grow annoyed by the main character.
I have yet to finish this drama, but you really need to be in the mood to get through it. XD |
