This drama is based on the true story of Shogen Shin, a young boy growing up in Korea during the war. One day a traveling salesman who performs magic with a special instrument amazes him. Later on, he realizes that this magic is actually music coming from a violin. He is inspired by his teacher to start playing and learns a great deal about life. But when his teacher suddenly gets drafted for war, Shogen decides he should become inspiring to others like his teacher was for him. The drama is short (only two episodes long) but is a great story about a truly inspiring person.

The main actor is a miscast!!! [Rating: 4/10] The summary attracted me to watch this drama but it was a disappointment. The main problem is Kusanagi Tsuyoshi. He shouldn't be casted as the main actor. It was the miscast. He doesn't protray well for a Korean who live in Japan, all his emotion and actions are all overlydone and just not right (from my instinct). I don't believe that the real person (Shogen Shin) acts like what the drama protrayed. If I'm Shogen Shin, I would be really pissed of this drama. Just because Kusanagi Tsuyoshi can speak Korean, doesn't mean he's suitable for this character. Why can't a real korean actor be casted as a main actor. That way, it seems more believable. The secondary problem is the the script. It doesn't make sense for the main character to act like a mad man because he is obsessed of making a 'perfect' violin. Even a mad scientist won't be as crazy of eating poop or neglecting his family or earning his living. It's not logical. Also, the way the script is written is too manga-ish. I don't feel motivated or inspired by the main character in this drama at all. All I feel is the whole drama is ruined by miscast-Kusanagi Tsuyoshi.
