The 3 main actresses delivered very good performances, but I don't like this very much. I don't dislike it, but it just seemed too ... sentimental sometimes. It has its sincere moments too though. |

Having Karina taking the role of a mental disable person is refreshing for a change. This is also a chance for me to see her in another new image. She pull the role off well and the drama really addresses the problems faced by the family and the person herself. Worth watching. |

Rated this series a 10 because of the performance of Karina...in other words Karina disappeared and I was only aware of Yuzu on the screen.....I hope she wins "Best actress award" somewhere ......Interesting not too important fact .....Yuzu worked in a bakery, In KinPachi Sensei 7 Yayoi (who was mentally disabled) worked in a bakery, and in Algernon ni Hanataba there was a bakery where a group of mentally diabled worked..........hmmmm |

This is a wonderful story about a mentally disabled woman who has a child. Though there are struggles and hardship, she does her best (with the help of friends and family) and matures into a loving mother, helpful daughter, and considerate sister. Highly recommended |

Here's a cut&paste of the synopsis since it's not up.
Yuzu, a 23-year-old mentally disabled woman with the mind of an 8-year-old, falls in love with Sosuke, a man with a similar disability. After Sosuke is involved in a fatal accident, Yuzu's family discovers she is 5 months pregnant with his child. Though Yuzu is intent on having the child, her mother, Miyoko, is immediately against it. After her family comes to terms with her pregnancy, Yuzu eventually gives birth to her daughter, Himawari. With many odds against her, Yuzu does her best to care for the daughter she so dearly loves.
Well I think the synopsis pretty much tells the story. Yuzu's got a good heart and plenty of determination.
Wonderful & touching drama. :) Everyone should watch this! Tears of joy&sadness just about every episode! |
