Synopsis
Luka has yet to mature into a full-fledged vampire. His canines have yet to fully develop, which means he still hasn't tasted human blood \ or, at least, human blood that he's drawn himself. In order to get him prepared, he is cast down into the world of humans, where he boards with Jiro, the owner of a Chinese restaurant, and enrolls in high school. His homeroom teacher is a cheerful, though meddlesome, young woman who catches the fledgling bloodsucker off-guard. Is he actually falling in love with a mortal?

1. Surprisingly good. [Rating: 8/10]
This dorama totally surprised me! I ended up liking it quite a bit. At first, the acting and dialogue seemed a bit uninspired, and the characters a bit flat, but Nakayama Yuma caught my attention so I kept watching. (Plus, any love story with an older woman and a younger man catches my interest.) I also liked the theme of looking at vampires from the point of view of a vampire who is unable/unwilling to be a vampire. In the end, what stuck with me was that it seemed to be a dorama about trust, acceptance, and making choices.

2. This gets better as the story progresses... [Rating: 7/10]
At first I was doubtful about this series, but I think it got better as it progressed-- in terms of the acting, the plot, and the character development. I think it redeemed itself! I became immersed in the story! Give it a chance! :)

At first I thought I was going to see something as bad as RHPlus, and then I expected something a bit better, like Shinigami no Ballad, and I finally found a really decent dorama. In fact, you could save the "Kuromiya-being-a-vampire" thing, or maybe you could switch in into some mortal disease thing, and voi-la, you have a dorama with good acting, no need for special effects, and a nice, although cliche, love story. Acting was a bit forced sometimes, but Nakayama Yuma was really good, and he has impressive and beautiful eyes!! Good to see Kyo Nobuo in there as well. Pace was a bit slow sometimes and the end was totally predictable, and of course, don't expect anything new (vampire boy and human girl and forbidden love), but it was entertaining anyway, and I imagine they just wanted to send that "smile-and-be-happy-life-has-meaning-after-all" message. I'm glad I watched this one, even though I'm not a big vampire stories fan.

SOOOO SLOW! There were too many close-ups and flashbacks. Also I wanted more development of relationship of the characters. Of course there was some small changed but they were so obscure and all of a sudden it ended just like that. I wanted more conflicts and more scenes of the school environment, how Kurimiya handled the daily life, but you only got too see very small parts of that stuff. Also when he changed he changed instantly and didn't like..."learn" to change. In short the story was in a rush while they squeezed in as many close-ups and flashbacks as possible. At least it was somewhat watchable because of the vampirestory although there are some criticism about that as well...(mostly personal opinions about what vampires behave)

Regardless of its below 10 average rating, this is definitely the series I enjoyed in Summer 09. Honestly, I rarely watch May-December affairs but this was an exception. Probably because the pairing of Nakayama and Kato clicked for me, they were so cute together. As for the ending, it was really inevitable but good thing they didn't end up like Romeo and Juliet. Although it was still sad, having another person besides Makoto who remembers him was a bonus. And I must say that the story is a shojo manga material. Plus, I also liked that certain sad bgm which was played throughout the series.

Though the ending was not what I expected it to be, I love this drama. I believe that, following the flow of the vampire mania going on these few years, it's just another same vampire storyline... but no!! I thoroughly enjoyed it. AND this plot certainly does not follow the Twilight series. Twilight has its own allure and Koishite Akuma is interesting in its own way.

Vampire story for kids and young teens. More a 7.5 than a 7 as I thought the 2 main actors handled the weak story (well the original idea is good but the script was done lazily) quite well. Uses a little too many dorama cliches and flashbacks. Nice ending song!

WhenI started watching this I thought this was going to be rubbish but I'm glad I was proved wrong. Very nice romance, Kato Rosa and to a lesser extent Nakayama Yuma were great in this.Kudos also to Ito Shiro.

A bad one. The vampire looks like 13years old, no chemistry, bad bad bad acting and pretty bad story on the top of that.
