| 2. | Comments by hoshigata [Rating: ?/10] Still nice but a little too much to have another series. Kills the anticipation. |
| 3. | Comments by michelle [Rating: 8/10] Sigh...watch this back about 1 month ago. I find this drama quite good but if compared to the first part, I find the first part way better. Why? Because the second part is wayyyyyy too sad. I don't want to give out any spoilers or whatsoever, so, if you can bear with sad ending, then watch it! Hmm...just wanna' say that I don't like the ending at all! |
| 4. | Comments by yanie_chan [Rating: 8/10] I think the story improved in this one, and I like it better coz Takumi got more important role in this part 2!!!^_^ Still...the ending is just too sad....and why can't Aya and Takumi just be together????? =((((

| 5. | Comments by jaycee [Rating: 7/10] noriko sakai plays a very determind to stay alive patient |
| 6. | Comments by cyberarts [Rating: 10/10] Follow-up to part 1. Prefers part 1 better. |
| 7. | Comments by juliana_phang [Rating: 8/10] no comment |
| 8. | Comments by pandora [Rating: 4/10] Why tell me why must part 2's of many dorama's be so so disapointing. This ruins part 1 for me. I wish it had not been made. It is weepy and often dosen't make anysense. Like suichi being stabed at a hospital (by his half brother who is supposed to have drowned) Yet he goes away from the hospital to bleed to dead in a cab and arrive to die in aya's arms. Ridiculous if you ask me. A waste of time to watch. Let me pretend it was not made!!! |
| 9. | Comments by jdfan [Rating: 10/10] Great cast chemistry and great performances. That why this series became a classic. You will stay till the end. This series is darker than the first one. Takenouchi Yutaka's performance is just amazing considering he was still new at this. |
| 10. | Comments by biga816 [Rating: 5/10] Ruined the first serie's story...don't watch it if you want to preserve what #1 delivered. |
| 11. | Comments by amethyst [Rating: 7/10] A continuation of Hoshi no kinka 1. Starts in snow-covered Hokkaido, where Aya had returned to. Takumi had turned up there unexpectedly and has changed from being rebellious to a sensible young man. Then they had to go back to Tokyo to attend Aya's friend's wedding and many tragedies happened. |
| 12. | Comments by 100aw [Rating: 5/10] Although it had Takenouchi Yutaka, the whole pace of the drama was rather slow. |
| 13. | Comments by jo [Rating: 7/10] Was better than HOSHI NO KINKA I, so that was surprising that part 2 can actually be better than part I. Still, I wasn't blown of my chair like other dramas, it's still a slow and average drama. C+ |

| 18. | Comments by jetfire [Rating: 6/10] 2nd instalement is highly antipated one but was let down by a weaker plot but those fans of the 1st series should continue to view it. Btw the ending is very touching |
| 19. | Comments by eien Bussan [Rating: 7/10] ehhhh? loopholes galore |
| 20. | Comments by hmm [Rating: 7/10] Nice, but still prefer part 1. |
| 21. | Comments by ryce [Rating: 8/10] A continuation of Part 1... Major tear-jerker... but too melodramatic for me... Beautiful music score again... :) |
| 22. | Comments by gomibagu [Rating: 8/10] Pretty good story but not as good as the first. |
| 23. | Comments by HeLLoMinna [Rating: 10/10] love it even more! very sad, but very heartwarming too. |

| 27. | Comments by atheon [Rating: 6/10] May 2005: The plot for me is ridiculous, the scriptwriter 'tried' every possible outcome to 'kill' the character, still, u can see great acting in this drama, and learn sign language perhaps...... |
| 28. | Comments by natzumi [Rating: 10/10] A tear jerker. |
| 29. | Comments by mochi [Rating: ?/10] this is even sadder than the first installment. nevertheless it was really engaging while it lasted. i doubt i'll watch it again anytime soon since it's really emotionally taxing :I |
| 30. | Comments by ct_subang [Rating: 9/10] if u've seen the 1st...be prepared for the 2nd..lotsa twisted plots thru out the drama..this is truly a tragic & sad-soapy drama...trust me on the tissues..huwaaaa... |

| 34. | Comments by Dorochive [Rating: 3/10] Second season of your sleeping pill dosage. |
| 35. | Comments by donna8157 [Rating: 7/10] Even after reading all the bad reviews, I still watched this out of curiosity because I really adore both Takenouchi Yutaka's character (Takumi) and Noriko Sakai's character (Aya). But just as the reviews have said time and time again, this drama was very poorly done plot-wise. I don't think it goes very well as a sequel because the conclusion of the first one loses meaning when watching this one.
I didn't enjoy most of the story elements that were put in for the characters to face. It just seemed overly driven to making this drama a massive tearjerker, however because the scenes were so contrived the story wasn't as touching. It made the drama seem unrealistic and at parts, laughable because of the sheer ridiculousness. The new doctor played by Sawamura Ikki just seemed to come from out of the blue. The antagonist that he played was just too extreme. But he does do a good job of it.
However, Takenouchi Yutaka really shines as he played the tormented Takumi. Even with all the bad plot elements, this drama is worth watching if you're a fan of his. |
| 36. | Comments by Aunty Coco [Rating: 6/10] Again it was Takenouchi Yutaka who kept me going on with the show... The plot was absurd... How could anyone of a sound mind be controlled and manipulated by a villain to commit crimes... |
| 37. | Comments by aki_07 [Rating: 8/10] Can be excessively tragic and repetitive. It's as if there's a curse on Aya! Part one is better. But Takenouchi's love for Aya broke my heart, especially the last scene at the airport on choosing the rose, weepy. |
| 38. | Comments by heimu [Rating: 7/10] Yes, I agreed with most of the drama, it made us focus too much on Takumi and Aya, Shuichi was left out really till the very last part.. Awwww |
| 39. | Comments by eltinator [Rating: 7/10] They should have stopped at the first! The 2nd just complicated things even more. It's not that the actors/actress performed bad, the story just sucked. Not worth your time here... |
| 40. | Comments by lawsco [Rating: 9/10] This series is the one that got me hooked on J-Drama. I have 61 and counting at this writing and still say that only 2 others were better in my opinion. |
| 41. | Comments by GIGI [Rating: ?/10] In my watch list. |
| 42. | Comments by maxlovely [Rating: 8/10] It's goo but not well as part 1 . Ending is sad. |
| 43. | Comments by mari-chan [Rating: 10/10] Inspiring |
| 44. | Comments by wanderingfish7 [Rating: 7/10] One of the classics. |
| 45. | Comments by norz [Rating: 8/10] Compared to the first this was not as great since the circumstances get more exagerrated like it wasnt over the top enough.. but overall sad |
| 46. | Comments by sweetkisses7574 [Rating: 9/10] i like the first one better but this one was very very good too! i liked it alot but i just was kinda eh at the end. but thank goodness there is a special. i still havent watched it yet :) gotta find it some where |
| 47. | Comments by kartanoman [Rating: 8/10] As in season one, Noriko Sakai turns in another strong performance and is the highlight of this show. Not to be outdone by the wild array of soap opera-like action in the first season, the writers go to extreme measures to include every drama tactic, both imaginable and unimaginable, to keep the viewers on their seats in pursuit of the ultimate question - will Aya and Shuichi be together forever. The answer is quite clear in the end ... but not before viewers experience more plot twists than a Greek tragedy! Noriko Sakai alone is my justification for giving this one 8/10 as I was not impressed by the overboard scripts of the writers of this show. For those of you who can't get enough, hunt down the Heaven's Coins Finale program which recaps both seasons between segments focusing on the aftermath of everything. Bottom line - the Heaven's Coins trilogy made Noriko Sakai my favorite J-dorama artist! |
| 48. | Comments by k4g0me [Rating: 7/10] Not as good as the first. |
| 49. | Comments by hitomi #1 [Rating: 3/10] So depressing! |
| 50. | Comments by zhirong [Rating: 4/10] Well, watched it after Hoshi no Kinka 1. What can I say? It sort of stray off and become worse. Now they even made Aya blind... sigh... Well not as good as the first I suppose. |
| 51. | Comments by chinz [Rating: 7/10] season 2 was worse, as she became blind and the guy lost his memory... so korean style... slow, draggy and pitiful... |
| 52. | Comments by Parishilton [Rating: ?/10] watching now |
| 53. | Comments by sherreen_k [Rating: 10/10] Hoshi no Kinka 2 is just as good as the 1st one. Yutaka (Takumi) here, from a playboy in 1st part becomes a devoted romantic lover of Aya (Noriko) in this 2nd part. This drama can really makes you believe that true love really exists and show you how much love can really change a person. |
| 54. | Comments by hibiscus920 [Rating: 4/10] Ultimate soap. |
| 55. | Comments by nadrika [Rating: 10/10] Takumi, Aya and Shuichi. LOVE all three of them. I am definitely biased here. Watched this as a teenager back in the 90s. I can't really separate Heaven's Coins 1 from Heaven's Coins 2, unlike some or most of jdorama members here.
In my mind, they are one and the same. Loved Aya's cute handwriting. Love how Takumi and Shuichi use sign language. Love how protective Takumi is of Aya. Frustrated, though with Shuichi's indecisiveness. What else? Loved Takumi laughing AND crying at the same time. Loved the parting scenes at the airport. |
| 56. | Comments by yougashi [Rating: ?/10] Takenouchi biased but amzing cast and drama altogether. |
