Surprisingly though, I wasn't very bothered by it. It's a very deliberately paced drama, and both the leads have a similar nonchalant attitude, it's almost under-acted, with the two leads standing around looking cool and worried all the time. It's a style that could be aggravating to some, but I found it to have an intriguing quality to it. The antics of Ueto's psychopathic brother were over the top, they were integral to the plot, but I wish it could have been written to be a bit more believable. With that this may have been a masterpiece for me because I actually prefer more slow paced dramas, but even still I quite enjoyed it. |
| 2. | Comments by SayaOtonashi [Rating: 6/10] Even though Ueto Aya acting was great as always, I did not like this dorama. It developed so slowly it bored me most of the time. Inagaki Goro's character was awful and everybody was lying all the time and deciding things selfishly. Isn't it easier being honest and just tell the truth? I felt almost all the things the characters decided to do were just the opposite to what I would have done. Maybe I miss something because I'm not Japanese and then I'm not able to grasp some inner culture details that may make this dorama a wonderful one. Anyway, and despite everything, SPOILER ahead:
The last minutes of the last episode have the most beautiful hugh and kiss I've ever seen in any dorama. But the previous 15 minutes were just agonic, they kept running up and down all the time, and I was like: "Just use your damn phone!". Definitely not on my "must watch" list. |
| 3. | Comments by MakiharaR [Rating: 8/10] This drama had many intense and cliffhanging moments that makes you want to watch more. The use of jellyfishes was creative and tied in pretty well from beginning to end. Aya Ueto played a very interesting character which held a lot of emotions, but all characters ultimately made a lasting impression. A very sad, but heartwarming and touching story. |
| 4. | Comments by Sun_Shang_Xiang [Rating: 10/10] I didn't count myself as a big fan of either Takenouchi Yutaka or Aya Ueto until watching this drama but they really pushed themselves on this one.Inagaki Goro also did well on this one, everytime I saw him a felt my blood pressure rise. Excellent work ! |

| 6. | Comments by xerith [Rating: 9/10] Nice acting all round. Not too heavy... felt that it was just about right (although I did tend to want to kick Aya's brother's character at times...). Nice song as well by Kobukuro. |
| 7. | Comments by DoramaQ [Rating: 10/10] Originally wanted to watch this because Takenouchi's the lead, but loved how the story developed. I couldn't wait to see what Goro's character would do next: he was SO convincing! |
| 8. | Comments by Patazilla [Rating: 9/10] This drama...! I love it, it's sooo emotional and atmospheric and has a nice story, a nice pace, a nice cast. It's overall great! But the best part really is the atmosphere...! |
