Good acting by all with a touching story and cute kids. Ashida Mana reminds me of how Ayase Haruka would be at 7 years old! I also heard Abe Sadao is a comedian in Japan and I could see that, but boy can he act and with surprisingly good range too! This role was tailor made for him. I really enjoyed the beginning episodes. The middle faltered a bit for me but the ending episodes won my heart back! Also becoming a fan of Higa Manami. Really liked her in Code Blue I & II and she's slowly becoming more of a lead actress in my opinion. Really really good drama that satisfys and will bring a tear or two to your eyes! |

What more could you ask for in a family drama? Cute kids: check. Comedy: check. Life lessons: check. Talking dog: Check... Wait, what? Ashida Mana is hot stuff in Japan right now, and at her age she was a long and fruitful career ahead of her. I watched this drama because I loved her in Mother and I look forward to her other future projects as well. Abe Sadao always brings in the laughs. It's strange how reserved he is in interviews and at press conferences, but he's capable of such big acting and zaniness as he does here. But the real star of this show was Mook. What a cute dog! I look forward to the special. |

Two little kids, a talking dog, and Sadao Abe, who I have NEVER liked, not in Kokoro, not in IWGP, not in T & D, never! Sounds like a recipe for disaster, right?
But boy,I really liked this drama. Abe was great as Marumo! I can't think of anybody else that could have played that role! Much like I always relate Sorimachi to Onizuka and Eguchi to Tatsuya in "Hitotsu Yane", from now on I am going to think of Abe as Marumo. I don't know how the awards system for actors works in Japan, but he should definitely get something for this! |

Very endearing. There's one annoying scene that is constantly repeated for the first three episodes, but other than that very well paced. Although out of all my experiences watching DORAMA, I still do not get why all the main characters run during important scenes -- even when it seems impossible (like catching up to a car). Ending was fantastic (you gotta watch to the part where they do the advert for the DVD boxset -- Mook's announcement, LOL). Can't wait for the special! |

Nice dorama about a single man, two little boys and a talking dog. It was funny at first but then all the mother stuff was a bit annoying for me, but anyway it was a quite cute dorama. Thanks to de dog, it was more interesting (and you will know who the dog is from the very first moment). I had a good time watching this one though it felt a bit slow sometimes, so I wouldn't watch it again. I haven't even finished the SP XD |

Funny, heartwarming, emotional, brilliantly written and acted. There is nothing bad I can say about this series other than it is short. The storyline has so much potential and so many avenues in the character relationships that could still be explored. This is the best series I have seen in a very long time. |
