In my opinion this is one of those dramas that it made by the characters. I really enjoyed all the characters (and the actors portraying them). They were all really loveable and fairly realistic. Admittedly some of the drama in this drama was waaaaaaay blow out of proportions, but the characters make up for it. I'd really like to see more of Kiritani Kenta after this. He did a wonderful job as Junichi. And as usual, Ikuta Toma was wonderful. I think he must be one of the best actors out of Johnny's Entertainment.
Also, Jotaro's house in Shimanto looks amazing and I wish I lived there. ;____; And the scenery in this drama was amazing. <3 |

Noble attempt to realistically portray the struggles of small town twenty and thirty-somethings limited by old-fashioned conventions or their own inabilities to move forward. A good, albeit slow quality watch. Mind you, this is a typical drama where all characters take the morally "good/noble" decisions in the end, which in real life they would not, hence rendering it unrealistic. |

Okay, so this is a rural Japanese version of "Friends". Still, the acting is pretty good and the location (Shimanto) is beautiful. Oh, and good luck trying to get the theme song out of your head anytime soon! (That's a good thing.) |
