So this is a sequel, or prequel, or something to Utsukushii Rinjin. I'm not really ok with such an idea. Maybe a "spiritual" sequel would work, which is what this seems to be, but then again maybe not...
But anyway comparing this to Utsukushii Rinjin, it mostly stands up to it. Probably the best thing is that where in Utsukushii Rinjin, Saki was mostly just a creepy character, in this she is actually quite relateable to. I find myself rooting for her. It's like, "Yay, kill him! kill him! kill him! Alright! Good job!" It's really neat, and this aspect alone made me like it.
But there is one comparison where this doesn't live up, and leaves the original the clear victor: the ending.
While Utsukushii Rinjin was good in general, you keep wondering "why"? and when you find out at the very end, it is so trivial and yet so profound. One simple word was the cause of it all. The ending was 90% of why I loved it so much. So while the ending of the original was trivial yet profound, the ending of this is just, well plain trivial. But I knew fair well that they wouldn't be able to pull off that magic twice, which is precisely why I didn't like the idea of this in the first place. Still, they did about as close as possible outside of the ending, and it is overall very good. |

Nakama Yukie was just the perfect casting for this role, and she did a wonderful job. The story was so-so although wanting you to keep going to find out the full story.
The two elements that make me score it only at 6 were the acting of some of the rest of the crew (Miura Shohei as the brother and pretty much the entire Sudo family), and the lack of side stories or characters, that made the story very uni-dimensional. Worth it for Yukie fans though |

Fairly good watch, though I think some of the acting was a bit dodgy amongst the Sudo family. The Nomura arch of Saki's revenge also creeped me out really really really hardcore. I think this drama is addictive but that doesn't mean that it's really really good. It just makes you wonder what's going to happen next. Also I will say, props to Okada Yoshinori. I really liked his few episode performance. |

What a drama! When I watched some first episodes, I feel suffocated and hardly breath because Nakama Yukie really play the psychological trick really well. It was frustrating to see how people's mind being led and tricked. However, the story was really good and full of curiousity, taught me on how hard life for certain people. |

The ending song doesn't fit, many actors overact, it's not realistic, the end is bad, it says you can kill people but anyway it's ok, you lost your mother, poor of you... Kill people because they couldn't hear the ambulance is just shit.. Anyway, 8 for the very good suspense and for Yuki's acting! |

In spite of, or maybe because of Yukie's natural sweetness, she's very good at these creepy characters. Her turn in "Mr. Brain" was far and away the best part of that drama. But the plot here didn't do anything special so can't rate it higher. |
