| Synopsis |

It is about ordinary Japanese people's life. Nothing special happens, but that does not mean it's boring. On the other hand, their situations are so real that we felt like living in this drama and felt familiar with the characters who were not very brilliant, as if they were our own friends.
Fukami, a 26 year-old girl, has a uneventful life, working as a telephone operator. She finds her work tedious and wanted something more important to her not just romance, when she meets two girls of the same age, Chizu and Tsugiko. They have something in common though their situations are different and become closer and closer...
These days young girls have many lifestyle choices, not only marriage. We think we have to achieve something big and it becomes some kind of pressure. When we can't do that we likely to think we are worthless....and forget that living now itself is very meaningful, important thing.
Not only young girls' situations, but those of people of various generation are described well. Fukami's brother-in-Law, his boss, and Fukami's sister...everyone has his or her own problems and sometimes conflicts with each other.
Though this drama shows us many problems, it still has some heartwarming scenes...especially Fukami, Chizu, and Tsugiko's conversation is interesting. Each has different character but has great chemistry with each other. The vivid way of their chatting...it reminds us of how we chat with our closest friends! | | Neko |

Still, try as I might, this is unbelievably boring. The overabundance of Backstreet Boys songs that DO NOT FIT at all with the mood of the drama make it hard to bare. The only tune that doesn't seem out of place is Backstreet Boys' "I want it that way" that is played instrumentally by a tinkling string--it's sweet. Though, it is not enough to save the boring plot. It's good that Mizuno and Fukatsu were able to get better roles after this, though. Thank goodness! | | 3. | Comments by mizuno_takako [Rating: 10/10] a veri different story frm japan... they had describe many pple's trouble... out... the society...veri nice... i like the backstreet boys song in it.... | | 4. | Comments by blakmetalik [Rating: 6/10] It's not an exciting show, but it's got it's moments. My first time watching anything with Fukatsu Eri, Mizuno Miki, and Shiina Kippei. I watched it without subtitles, so I tried my best to figure out what was happening using the elementary Japanese I know. Fortunately, each character's personal story wasn't too complicated. Shiina Kippei's character isn't particularly interesting. He's paired up with the boring one out of the three girls - Nakayama Shinobu's character. Funny, I don't even remember the Backstreet Boys playing in the background. Shows how much of an impression the show left on me! (^_^;) |
