Takashi Sorimachi is great in this drama even though I don't rate him that much... he added lots of charisma and zest. Great scenery, great soundtrack. |

Well I must say I realy enjoyed this drama it was a great drama to watch. Takashi played his normal goof off role kind of like in GTO and in Cheap love. He is realy good in those types of roles. Also Yutaka was awsome too. He looked realy young in this kind of differnt then usual he played a business man that was trying to relax and have a vaction and it turned out to last for about 3 months. It is a good summer drama it was great to watch I love the charactors and the actors very much. I would recomend any body to watch this drama. Watch it!! it is a must see. |

This drama's a lot of fun to watch. I love the constant bickering and teasing between the male leads. They really give the impression of two overgrown boys... until you take a look behind the carefree facade and all sorts of problems and insecurities show up. There's loneliness, responsibilities and running away from your past - and will the two 'Beach Boys' become more than just unwilling co-works in a small beach hotel?
This drama makes me smile a lot and the chemistry between the actors is really great. |

It's beach boys, an untemporal dorama, a dorama that makes you fligh, swim, breath the seaside wind. song 'forever love' is great and so corresponding to the atmosphere of the dorama! Relaxing and mellow drama like others have said. I felt a bit let-down by the ending but enjoyed the atmosphere and the sense of togetherness/friendship as they lived and worked together. Some plotlines I thought were too simplistic and not developed enough. All four lead roles were very well-acted though. |

I really can´t get into storys with no main plot, like this one, the independent episodes killed the dorama for me.
Anyway i can see why people like this dorama so much, the two main characters are really awesome, especialy Hiromi(Sorimachi´s character), he made this dorama much more enjoyable.
And i felt that the Hazuki character was left without a plot of her own, she just appeared in every episode with almost no importance to the "story".
The male friendship is obvious the most cool thing in this, overall it´s a very fresh dorama with some comedy and dramatic moments. |

Watched this back in the 90s dubbed in Chinese WITH Chinese subs. So i didn't really get what's going on except for what conversational Mandarin that I knew. But it was enjoyable though, the laid-back atmosphere, kept me watching till the end to relax at the beach. Need to watch this whole series again one fine day... one fine day.. Perhaps it'll get a higher rating then when i understand what the drama is REALLY all about. |
