However one day he meets a strange girl - Yui Misawa (Kyoko Fukada). Yui, who finds the tedium of everyday life unbearable, teases Manato with her almost too upfront and honest manner. Alone and afraid Manato wavers but finds himself drawn to her. But his feelings for Yui are doomed to be unrequited.

1. Watch only if you're a Masochist [Rating: 4/10]
Before I go into the many things disastrous about this drama, let me start off by saying that the actual storyline was not completely helpless. The idea of questioning who one can fall in love with is a great concept, and ideally we would have seen this explored through the relationship between female teacher and male student, and two people brought together under the titlehood of "siblings", but otherwise being unattached by blood. This alone should have been enough to make a hitc but somehow the creators of Strawberry on the Shortcake lost all direction and all intelligence.

To start with, the casting was terribly done. The only actors who held any talent were Kubozuka Yosuke and Uchiyama Rina, but their characters were so lame that even their acting ability couldnft save the dismalness of their roles. This was my first drama with Takizawa Hideaki and I can truly band together with all the other haters now in proclaiming that watching him act is far less amusing than watching a dog lick his own butt. He may be nice to look at, but his acting leaves much to be desired. This was my second time seeing Fukada Kyoko in a drama and although she, too, is nice to look at, her acting was nothing spectacular.

So, bad actors, plus bad characters, makes for a bad combination. The characters | every single one of them | were the most selfish and annoying I have ever witnessed in a drama. I understand that the creators wanted to portray the angst, fear, and ignorance of youth, but instead they created selfish, whinny, annoying, and fearfully demented characters. I had no sympathies for either of them (tho I did feel for Rina-chanfs character in the first few episodes).

In all, the drama could have been a masterpiece, but poor planning and poor direction totally destroyed any attempts at making this a success. I would not recommend this drama, watch at your own risk.

2. Bittersweet... and unintentionally interesting [Rating: 7/10]
I went into this dorama only being familiar with one of the actors: Kubozuka Yosuke (from GTO). Thus, I didn't really have any preconcieved notions about what to expect from the other actors or actresses.

I say this dorama was unintentionally interesting because I didn't really care much for the main characters, who not only bored me, but annoyed me to the point that I almost stopped watching the Dorama. I understand that Manato (Takizawa) was playing the part of someone who was more or less an emotional coward.. so I don't blame Manato's overwhelming dullness on the actor.. But for some reason, I'm convinced that I was supposed to see Yui (Fukada) as an innocent and cute angel... but she came across to me like an annoying, spoiled brat.

What I found more interesting, instead, was how the personalities and relationships of two of the supporting characters, Haruka (Uchiyama) and Saeki (Kubozuka), developed as a result of their involvement in the lives of the main characters... Sawamura Haruka being the most interesting because she seems to be the one who actually changes and develops as a character the most throughout the show (and quite possibly the only one who really matures as a character).

The pace was slow... but it made sense. The series lasted only 10 episodes, but it ends well-- somewhat open-ended, but with a fair amount of closure. Actually, what I found out in the real end-- the one that came after the credits on episode 10, specifically about the fates of Haruka and Saeki-- actually was what gave the series a satisfying amount of closure to me.

Thus, MAKE SURE YOU WATCH AFTER THE CREDITS ON THE LAST EPISODE!!!!

3. A good one! [Rating: 8/10]
Watched this show in one day and found it refreshing, meaningful and heartwarming. Without seeming to try too hard and coming across, therefore, preachy, the drama does examine a couple of issues that teenagers have to contend with. What it does demonstrate, whether unwittingly or not, is also how the concept of making love has been trivialized by youngsters in Japanese society, though I do understand that the concept portrayed is that the act illustrates the sublimity of true love..
I especially enjoyed the soundtrack, the unique opening shots of every episode and the ongoing narration provided by a sensitive sounding and pensive Hideaki.
The twist at the end was pleasant. The buildup having led the audience to believe that his sister was dead for some reason (I did think that Kyoko would die at the snowy mountain top) and only part of his memory - therefore "I will never forget you" was repeated throughout the show- the relevation that she is STILL with him gives a nice touch.
Kyoko delivers as usual. Her flexibility in acting has been proved time and again and this time her persistent attitude towards love and fondness for her brother comes across. Her secret admirer Hideaki, whose every scene with her depicts familial warmth, also puts in a highly credible effort as confused-high school student- turned good-looking and caring teen. Other characters also make a fair contribution. In general, an excellent piece of drama with good acting, strong script, and the extra-a message to send as well.

4. Painful to watch, but probably worth it. [Rating: 6/10]
I really started watching this because of Kubozuka Yosuke, because he has yet to disappoint me with his amazing acting. I quit after the first few episodes, because I didn't like the story at that point, and I didn't like any of the characters--including Yosuke's. I'd already downloaded the whole thing, though, so I continued to watch it at about an episode a month. The story was too slow, not to mention somewhat pointless seeming and depressing, and overall, it just didn't pull me in. Somewhere around episode 8 or so, though, I started getting interested, and I ended up watching the entire end of the series at once.

I've gotta say, the last few episodes redeemed the whole series in my eyes. I realize others could feel different, but after an entire series of one depressing, unrequited love after another, and knowing this was JUST the kind of series where all the characters killed themselves (or each other) in a tragic, depressing way, I was so happy when everything worked out, and everyone was happy in the end. Also, I finally got to like Kyokofs and Hideaki's characters (until the last few episodes, I really kind of hated them).

I don't know if I'd exactly 'recommend' you see this series, but if you're a big fan of any of the 4 main characters, you should probably give it a try, because I thought they all performed very, very well (particularly, of course, the incredibly talented Kubozuka Yosuke!). Final thoughts? This series was painful to watch, but Ifd say it was worth it.

5. Great Drama [Rating: 10/10]
I really don't understand the negative reviews that this series gets. SOS is a great drama, with a great storyline and the cute as usual Kyoko Fukada. Though as much as I love Kyoko it's Takizawa who really shines in this drama. I loved his character Manato and I can really relate to him growing up. I love how he narrates the story in the past tense and his line "dakara kimi no koto ga wasurenai yo," which means "that's why I'll never forget you." Rina's and Yosuke's characters are solid as well. The love triangle is complex and leaves you curious to see what happens next. I also love the dramatic ending, especially since it's a happy ending when the story 99% of the way through leads you to expect a sad one. I also love the ABBA music in this drama, it fits the drama perfectly. This drama is better than any American romance movie and the acting in this series is better than it's given credit for.

6. soso show [Rating: 5/10]
I watched this show juss cuz of Tackey, but I was really disappointed. It was definately not his best performance. and that one girl, the main character ahh I forget her name.... Kyoko! ya her... her acting was so bad, I seriously couldn't tell when she was smiling or grimacing. It was like she permantly had one expression.

The plot was so boring that I couldn't even finish it, I juss totally gave up on ep. 8.

even though the acting was bad and the plot sucked, it's really not a bad show. I found the whole thing really.... for lack of a better word, artsy. Like even the story line was really surreal and fantasyish. the ending song was so beautiful. It was actually the more artistic ending I've ever seen and I fell completely in love with it.

so ya, basically the show sucked but the song was amazing. XDXD

The first time i watched it I liked it i thought it was good. But it was the first one that I watched. I have only seen it twice. the first time that I watched it about 3 years ago. I thought it had a good story and every thing but I started to realise that the story was kind of shalow. It is a lot like a us soap. The characters are well thought out. I did not realy like the characters becuase they only cared about themselves. But there are a lot of good stuff in this drama. It had a great cast but it was just the characters and the story that didn't work for me. But it had good acting they were very convencing shalow people. S.O.S. maybe I should watch it agian.

8. Disappointing [Rating: 5/10]
To think that this drama would be on the top 50 JDorama is disappointing to say the least. The main characters in this drama are annoying and some of the situations were incredibly trifling. There were only two good things about this drama: 1.) the innovative editing of the film and 2.) Uchiyama Rina and Kobuzuke Yosuke.

Even though I am a fan of Takizawa Hideaki, his character in this drama just didn't appeal to me and the fact that there was this incredibly odd relationship between him and Fukada Kyoko's character made it even less appealing. The insincere relationships that revolved around them made this drama seem draggy and just outright boring.

All in all, there was no strawberry on this shortcake.

9. It's alright [Rating: 6/10]
Overall I found this show to be interesting, but still lacking something. It simply lacked the 'oomph' that other well made dramas had. It was probably due to Kyoko Fukada. In all honesty, she simply pissed me off! I found her character to be annoying, childish and simple minded. Yea, she's cute, but she's so selfish and bratty. I just didn't get why she had to stay sick so Manato would take care of her? Is it because she was happy that he cared so much? Yes, but did she even care how much she was causing him to worry? No! This girl absolutely had to get whatever she wanted, and would whine and whine until she got it. Kyoko Fukada ruined what I would say is a good drama.

What i like in this dorama is the role of Kubozuka Yosuke coz it's just similar to his role as Kikuchi in GTO. He is sooo cool here. His love for the teacher is really interesting, too bad i don't like the actress who played as the teacher, so i just relieved he didn't end up with her ^_^ The story is supposed about the highschool teenagers' life, i guess, but somehow i don't think it's well described here. And also i don't like the ending, it's just soooo easily to guess, it's indeed a happy ending, but i just not feel happy with it :o There's a quote that's often said in this dorama by Takizawa Hideaki [as Irie Manato] : "Dakara kimi no koto ga wasurenai yo".

Despite the plot being relatively simple this drama is definitely worth watching. The cast is excellent, I loved all of the characters. The actors made them very real and human. This drama makes you think about love and relationships. I didn't think it was too slow; the story developed very naturally. I don't think that the ending can be foreseen easily, until the very last minute I thought every option might be realistic. This drama has a very special feeling to it which is very rare (I had this feeling after watching "Yasashii Jikan" or "Hitoni Yasashiku")
I highly recommend it!

the atmosphere created was quite ok, the narration done by hideaki was quite soothing, but otherwise the story was really typical & predictable. the last part of the drama is actually dragging & pain-staking to watch. ;P imagine a girl who gets sick on purpose to pull sympathy from crush-slash-half-brother? fascinating...

i personally dont really like the ending, the sudden twist doesnt seem to make much sense. but maybe thats because i'm kinda biased toward Sawamura Haruka over Misawa Yui, in which i find Sawamura much better in both personality and look.

overall its a really good drama, the first few episodes seem the most interesting and what happens at the last few episodes kinda drives me mad (again, because of lack of attention to Sawamura, i really wished that she would be happy ^^).

well, basically, Uchiyama Rina is the best!

This is one of the best J-Drama I ever watch. The story was sad, the ending was unexpected, and the storyline is quiet "easy to guess". But eventhough it has this minus mark, the plus mark is more than that. The Actress was very kawaii (GAMBATE Kyoko-chan ^_^), also the main topic of the drama that is, I think, "It's hard to love somebody, but you should never give up on your love." It also contains many "sub" meaning in this drama, like the differences definition of love between the grown-up people & the teenagers

I did end up finishing it up though cuz I can't stand to leave dramas open ended. There's alot of back and forth. Maybe that's why I couldn't stand watching it in one sitting. My favorite ridiculous melodrama. This drama is so very silly. I really enjoy it. The actors are excellent in their parts. Fukada is so extremely irritating and manipulative, that Takizawa's character seems mentally ill rather than simply spineless. Their relationship seems intense and pure but the dynamics are incredibly destructive. I genuinely like the secondary relationship. The gradual build from suspicion to friendship to more worked really well.

This dorama, is very deep. There is a ton of symbolism in this show that I hope you can catch. There is a deepness here that lacks in most romantic dorama.

From the way things are done in this show, you can tell that the writer/directors went to film school because you can see different layers of style and substance in it's execution.

Watching this show is like reading a long beautiful poem and then sitting back and enjoying it's after taste.

ILm not the biggest fan o Takizawa Hideaki but all the doramas i watched with him never fail to entertain me and this one is no diferent.
ManatoLs(Hideaki) obsession with Yui(Fukada Kyoko) was very well played, i loved how he took to the extreme that old cliché of "itLs an impossible love so iLll never confess"(especialy in the last episode).
I loved Yui during almost all the dorama but at the end she become really annoying, i didnLt like her obsession with Saeki(Kubozuka Yousuke) during the later half of the dorama.
Saeki was by far the best character in this, iLm just 22 but i would choose Ishida Yuriko over Uchiyama Rina any time, i loved how Saeki and Manato gradually became best friends, it was a very cool transformation for both characters.
Anyway this is a good love story but a bit extreme some times(probably the reason why so much people hate this).

This is definitely not the typical JDorama. The storyline is a bit cliche with the stepbrother falling in love with his stepsister, but these producers definitely found some nouveux ways of editing it. There were some cut scenes set against a black screen which would show what was going on in different places (different shots). It was quite interesting.

As for the story, I didn't quite enjoy it. It was definitely weird at times and I didn't like all the alluding to sex and anything that had to do with sex. The characters themselves weren't all that likeable either. I'm sure there are a lot of reviewers out there who loved Kyoko Fukada's character, but for me I found her to be rather childish and too simple-minded to the point of naivete. Takizawa Hideaki did a pretty good job, but I thought that the two supporting characters did the best. K.Y and Uchiyama Rina shone.

I can sort of understand why a lot of people would be angry at this drama A) Fukada Kyoko's very existence seems to do that to people often (not me however) and B) female favorite Takizawa portrays a rather weird and probably not all that attractive role. But, I think this is actually sort of a perfect drama, not a perfect film, novel, etc., but a perfect TV drama (emphasis on the TV.) It's all slightly vulgar, sensationalistic, and melodramatic, not necessarily things I look for in fine art, but perfect for this format.

I will point out that the ending was quite a shocker. I have never seen a show try to foreshadow tragedy so strongly. I suppose I am glad about it, because secretly I like to feel happy, but if I were the writer/director I would have went with the more appropriate tragic ending that they were hinting at the whole time.

A little tedious and mind numbing. Takizawa and Kyoko really showed their bad acting skills here. I really wonder if Kyoko is really that ditzy in real life. If she isn't, then maybe she's a better actor than I thought.

The star of this drama is no doubt Rina Uchiyama. Man, she got played in this drama. I felt really bad for her at first. Why does Takizawa always play these indecisive, moronic guys who you just want to strangle? Baka! Aho! Wake up and make up your damn mind dude!

Excuse me for my little rant. It's an okay drama. If you bought it, then watch it. If you didn't, you're not missing much.

Btw, great Abba songs in the show. Tbh, a show like this doesn't deserve great music songs like SOS or Chiquitita.

Well, it's kinda difficult for me to write a comment on this drama since I couldn't think straight when it comes to kawaii Takizawa Hideaki~ ^_^ Anyway, I feel that this is a good drama. The only problem that I could think of is the pace of the drama. It's too slow. Some people might dislike the idea of having another drama that involves in 'love-triangle' relationship. Personally, I like this drama good enough. It's about Takki who fell in love with his stepsister (Kyoko). Unfortunately, his stepsister likes another guy (Kubozuka) who happens to like his teacher instead. Hmm..understand? ^_^ Anyway, thumbs up to 2 of my favourite people (Takki and Kyoko)! ^_^ They did a great job! :)

I never thought I'd like this a lot, but it's actually very very good. The story was excellent in my opinion, stretching the boundaries of stepbrother/sister relationships. Things start to get complicated when he falls in love her. I didn't really fancy Kyoko Fukada before, but I thought she put in a stellar performance i SOS. She was just so cute and alluring in this, maybe her character befits her face haha... The drama does get a bit draggy at the 8th and 9th episode, but the last episode featured more twists than a maze. The ABBA songs are a delight and made a wonderful soundtrack for the drama. I'm in love with the song Chiquitita all over again. Overall, great stuff!!~~

The story moved me a little, Manato is just SoOoOoO freakin' kind to thet overly IRRITATING gurl! It could have been nicer if the gurl had MORE substance and SENSE! She screams SHALLOW to me. ARGH! The transition part was lame. And it has this DARK feel all throughout the series. But I think I shed a tear on this one - it was just SOOOoOOOo DARN heart-breaking when Manato gave his everything to that overly IRRITATING gurl thinking that she was all too OBSESSED with someone else! ARGH! What made it 5 to me is that OVERLY IRRITATING gurl. What makes it 5 to me is that I was moved by how much Manato felt for that OEVRLY IRRITATING gurl. =D

OooooMmmmmGgggggggg.....this drama is sooooooooooo slooooooooowwwwwww!!!!! I only wanted to watch this because of Takky but I hated the role he played...a high school loser who's indecisive and doesn't have the guts to tell the girl that he like about how he feels. Worst of all is the sister's role. She's annoying and she acts like she's 4 years old. It's so ridiculous how she tries to act so naive and so cute and stuff. Doesn't work...it just ends up looking totally stupid and annoying. The story is alright but it's definiately too slow and boring especially towards the end, I just fast forwarded some parts.

What can I say, itLs a classic, a classic-not-good drama that most J-drama fans have watched. I finished this so it must be better than Yaoh or Jotei. Takky and Fukada aside (they arenLt really good at acting), the story is on the stupid and creepy side, but thatLs just how most teenagers really are. So what you get is an insight to their minds and you have a view on their silly actions, which is neither uplifting nor entertaining, but I have done equally wimpy things in my highschool years. Hence, who am I to judge. Clever use of ABBA songs!

Hm....watched this again and it kind of made me go:

"............"

Yeah erm...it wasn't horrible, per se; it's just that well, it wasn't good in my opinion. This is coming from a big Tackey fan, btw. The only reason why this drama get a four instead of a one is because I just couldn't stop laughing at Kyoko Fukada's character....even when I clearly wasn't supposed to...

Anywho, having said all of that stuff, my opnionion of this drama doesn't mean that I won't recommend it to anyone. Go for it! You might actually like it ^^.

i remembered the title "Strawberry on the Shortcake" attracted me at first ... the casts was strong ... Tackey + Kyoko + Kubotsuka + Rina ... but a bit disppointed after i've watched it ... not as exciting as the strong casts .. not practically boring ... but the show's pace is pretty slow .... Kyoko's character is kinda weird ... maybe blame it on the strong casts ... made me believe tat this will be a very nice drama ... but it turn-out to be rather disappointing ... but it'll be nice if u're fans of any of the casts ...

well... this is kinda shocking... i dunno why but after the sad touching story takizawa made with nanako "Innocent Witch" this has got to be one of his best dramas again... i dunno why i am saying this... maybe it's becuz his affection towards this mysterious girl played by kyoko fukada... well... indeed to have an affection towards a girl that had no identity to him at first was hard to picture but then a wedding and an additional add in to Irie Manato's family... well... i love this drama... very much! a must watch!

This is basically the intricate crossed affairs of teenagers in highschool.
The secondary characters were far more interesting than the main ones, and luckily they were pretty well developped, as I found Kukada Kyoko somehow irritating in that "pure minded girl" role. Anyway I think it was sometimes surprisingly deep (the teacher-student being the most gripping part), often attractive, always sweet.
The final twist may not be credible (and honestly I didn't like it) but at least it spares us some tears ;)

Uff. I tried so hard to like this drama. I was in a Tackey addiction thing at the time (after watching Majo no Jouken) I was hoping to see Tackey in another mesermising role. This was boring. I have no ill feelings towards a step sister and brother falling in love, but the way it was carried out and portrayed was boring, and untouching. I couldn't finish this. Kyoko Fukada was quite annoying in this. That guy she liked was pretty cool though. It just wasn't my cup of tea perhaps

To start off, I honestly thought I knew what would happen by the end of this series, but I was very wrong! The story was very complex with many unexpected twists and pitfalls. I admit that there were times when I couldn't stand this series, but overall it was wonderfully acted and came to a lovely conclusion! It's sad that Kubozuke Yosuke has become such an underrated actor in Japan due to the incident in 2004. I hope that he cane further revivie his career in the future!

This is about an 8. 1st teen drama that Ive seen and this stuff actually happens regularly. I was dissapointed at the ending, I was expecting everyone to die. The 1st episode gave me the impression that this was going to be another Taiyou no Kisetsu but I was wrong, a little dissapointing but o well. Kubozuka Yusukes char is so me. I love that char. This drama practically relates to me except the ending. Good enough drama to watch.

The 4 main characters are annoying, manipulative and boring. This drama left me pretty much indifferent because badly written characters don't generate any emotions. For instance, the death of Yui's mother made no impact whatsoever since she had so little screen time and we never got a chance to know anything about her. The story gets better near the end but not enough to make up for all the previous dull and repetitive episodes.

I think it started off pretty well but by the time it got to the middle part the plot got a little stupid. The ending was pretty well done though, considering how bored I was in the middle. Kyoko acts in another role where the character is just plain annoying, which is sad because I still think she can act. Takki was just ok here. The supporting roles of Rina & Kubozuka were more outstanding here.

This is the drama that got me hooked. It is a classic to me, and i dont care about whoever does not like it. it kept me interested throughout the whole thing of course, but it also made me go through the last couple of episodes thinking that i don't want it to end. It was so good watched the 10 eps in the course of 5 weeks, as opposed to 1-2 weeks, in order for it not to end too quickly. it still did.

Hideaki Takizawa, Fukada Kyoko, Kubozuka Yosuke, and Uchiyama Rina star in this teen flick about one-sided love in high school. Not a bad drama, I loved Kubozuka Yosuke in it, but Fukada Kyoko has a tendency to get on my nerves. Am I the only one who thinks she's a major ditz? Her smile is maybe too pure, it looks like she's got maybe 2 brain cells in her head. Hence the reason for my review rating.

I like the story, the cast, the scene and the repetitions from Hideaki Takizawa as Irie Manato...therefore "I will never forget you"...its created the red line of the story.
Kobuzoka's doing great in his unique accent of speaking and kissing haha...Hide as always, perfect acting. Kyoko Fukada's acting is great too.
PS: whenever u have the chance, when u're in love, say it as fast as u can! ^^

[On DVD] Very nice drama! Story about a young shy guy who falls in love with Yui after she "saved his life" by convincing him to stand up for himself. It gets more dramatic as the series progresses, maybe a little bit too much but it's still a great drama. If you generally like romantics you should like this Drama too. If you never tried romantic drama's before this would be a nice start.

I enjoy the dialogue very much. The slow pace enjoys me to savour & chew on the symbolic meaning of the plot and the characters' feelings. I thought it's going to be a typical romeo-juliet ending but it's not :-) though it ended quite abruptly and left me longing for more... a kind of not 'full' enough feeling. If it had squeezed more tears out of me, I would have rated it 10.

this is a good show, but not my favorite.. i like the beginning about how hes faking to be someone hes not, alot of people go through that phase and i can relate.. though i didnt like the bro & sister complex but manato's (tackey) thoughts were very deep, i like dark stories like this, i didnt like how the unexpected couples turn out in the end, but i still think its a good show.

One of the BEST dorama's I have ever seen. In fact, though, it was my first. I enjoyed this show so much, I began downloading more and more dorama's in order to watch as much as possible.

SOS is a grabbing story of a few high school students, and a family thrown together by a marriage. A brother and step sister who, through it all, come to love each other.

Sh*t, man. That was good. Still crying. Together with Long Vacation the best love story i've seen so far. Twisted, but incredibly good storyline, very detailed characters which evolved beautifully. Perfect ABBA tunes. I like Sawamura the best ;) Unfortunately not so good acting from Kyoko. Maybe this dorama is to tell the difference of "shallow" and "deep" love.

Aw Mai Gawd. Hontoni hen na dorama. I apologize to those who enjoyed this dorama, but I am super happy that I didn't buy it. The whole show is so boring and weird... I gave up on it after disc 2. After 2 weeks, I decided to try watching it from the last disc. It made me even sure that my decision to not continue watching it was totally right.

I was totally floored by this. I have yet to see a J-drama better than this. In fact there are not many films I have seen that are better. From the other reviews, obviously not everyone agrees. That's ok. I'm sure I would hate those voters favorites as well. I can rarely recall having been affected this much by a film/drama. It really, really, got to me. I could certainly see how some girls might find it boring. I followed the lead as he fell in love with Kyoko. I also fell in love with her uber-kawaii character. The only part I didn't like was the ending. It was incredibly powerful and dramatic, but it seemed to be at the expense of some plot "holes". Oh yeah and what's the deal with the the cheesy ABBA music and that video at the end of each episode? But I tolerated the ABBA music and just skipped that stupid video at the end.

Such complex and somewhat outrageous themes and situations, yet so simple, sensitive and believable in its philosophies and approach. The script is smartly written. The conclusion is very satisfying and I found myself caring very much for the welfare of all the main characters by the end.

After watching this, it became my favorite j series. I havnt seen much yet, but this one was great. I think mostly because Rina Uchiyama was in it, she is sooo cute. Kyoko Fukada was great too. I like her. The lead guy and other guy are good actors as well.

this drama is so dear to me, great acting, cinematography and storyline, but what i like about SOS is that, they tackled a lot of issues which most of us can relate to. It also helps that the main characters are good looking ....heheheh
5. ester_grace
I'm a huge fan of takizawa hideaki, he was so cute here. This was a sweet love story eventhough a lil bit complicated because they were so many one sided love. Wonderful acting from the two main character, I love them both.
6. azzwipe
Everything works in this drama. A great cast that seems to have a lot of good chemistry among them.. and it shows! A very heartwarming show all in all, so definitely one of the better dramas out there.
7. Akakumori
Probably one of the first drama I've ever seen (only some episodes of others), and I liked it a lot!! Hideaki is so cute, and the relationship among the four main characters is kind of intriguing.
8. CdMe
The characters are struggeling to the very end and you really hope the best for each of them. And who the hell doesn't like the thought of Kyoko Fukada as his sister?? Btw. ABBA's music rocks!
9. aiyachan16
a bizarre love square that includes step siblings. starring 2 of the cutest people: fukada kyoko and takizawa hideaki. catchy songs u end up singing over and over after watching the series.
10. CtrlV
great drama that deals with teenager love. got me hooked, great acting skills from both takizawa, uchiyama rina, but one that suprised me with his leader-like acting skills - yosuke.
11. pokester08
As far as romance dramas go, this one is my favorite so far. There are so many complicated love triangles in this one that it is absurd, but the last episode wrapped it up very well.
12. marsqurine
This is a really good drama :) I watched until 3 a.m. in the morning even though I have school the next day :) The ending is really unexpected but it turned out really well :)
13. sojuqueen
Irie Manato is the epitome of a real man. He might not be strong-willed nor aggressive but he showed what real love is. For that alone, he is worthy to be loved eternally.
14. marzyu
A lil lagging . . .and I didn't get the story until the second time around . .. . I liked it .. . it's a cute story . . . . relates to many love problems now!!!!!
15. zchendevlemh
you guys will love this. 'though at first the opening song sounds alil cheesy but after a few episodes you don't mind hearing it all over again.

BORN TO LOVE!!!
16. ren1999
The best ending and I'm in love with Fukada Kyoko. All of the young actors in this series are really talented. You see most of them in major motion pictures now.
17. animetama
I really like Fukada Kyoko but she just made this role annoying! >_<
However, this series was redeemed by the eye candyness of Takizawa Hideaki ^_____^
O Joy!

Some Like it, Some Don't. I've observed similar relationships like this time and again. This show portrayed them well and made me feel for the characters.

the 2 leads and 2 supporting leads were really cool. i like the interaction among the four. also, this drama is more adult themed than it looks~
21. ephesus
Regardless of the fact that kyoko can't act at ALL, I liked the relatively serious nature of this drama in comparison to other popular series.

SOS was good for a Jdrama portraying the dark themes that were associated with Manato. And it got me into Takki fandom ^^;
