1. A Unique Love Story [Rating: 8/10]
This drama would be best described Boku no Aruku Michi meets Beautiful Life and Yasashii Jikan. A teacher helps an autistic woman learn how to live in the real world while the woman helps the teacher learn how to love again. There are so many heart warming moments in this drama and the great thing about it is that they all feel genuine! All those cliches you would expect from a story like this are absent. Tomosaka Rie's character is seriously like an angel come down to earth. There is something so pure and innocent about her, it will melt even the most cynical man's heart.

Other than the main love story, the relationships between the family are also very well done. This drama includes one of the most realistic father characters I've seen in a drama, he is over protective but not ridiculously so. Tomosaka's brother (played by Fujiwara Tatsuya, this seems to be the last project he did before exploding into super stardom with Battle Royale) is also well portrayed, the whole family has there own little character flaws which makes the drama feel alot more realistic.

The major criticisms I have with the drama are with the rest of the supporting characters, especially the one diet member who is literally evil without explanation for 9 episodes. When we finally get the explanation for his motives it just came off as a little too ridiculous.

To be honest I'm not even a fan of this drama genre and I still ended up really liking it. I recommend this to anyone looking for a very different kind of love story.

2. Stunning performance for TOMOSAKA [Rating: 9/10]
I would rate it at 9.50. I had wathed her and Miki Mizuno in JOSHIANA about a month ago. JOSHIANA erally starred MIZUNO, and TOMOSAKA character in that was the 3rd level character. After the first couple of episodes I was stunned by the level of her acting in this drama compared to what she did in JOSHIANA. Her performance is so stunning that you instantly feel that she really has the emotional/physical problems. This is close to the level of performance as a handicapped person as was done by Takako Tokiwa in BEAUTIFUL LIFE, She plays a troubled young lady who mostly stays in her house that she shares with her family(father, mother and brother). Occasionally she goes outside taking temperature and wind measurements for what I thought was a delusion of having a chance to work for a INTERNET weather forcasting company. Thru the help of KISHIWAWA and the guy playing her brother, she gets the oppurtunity to maintain the companies INTERNET Website. This brings her to the attention of the world and exposes her to real life situations that she had been protected from before. Her new daily experiences really draw you to her.

3. Soul-soothing [Rating: 10/10]
Love is a promise between souls and feelings are best expressed through your heart. This dorama is soooo well done and soooo moving. Mayuko and Shinichi's love story is as poetic and as beautiful as the sky. This is my favorite Japanase Dorama ever, it makes me want to seek out and embrace my soulmate. The music is very relaxing as well, soul-soothing perhaps. Soul-soothing, this is the best word to describe this dorama. Watch it and hear your soul sing.

4. Not well known but great [Rating: 9/10]
Tomosaka Rie's acting performance was great! I'm convinced that she is one of the best. I cannot imagine too many top actress can handle this role. I really like this story. It'll keep your attention through the whole show. A must see drama. Don't miss it.

Good one, really good acting on Rie's end. She totally convinced me just like in I Am Sam. Story got kinda outrageous, but oh well. I didn't get the lasting feeling like I usually do after I watch a jdrama, but still, From the Heart was still pretty good.

Tomosaka Rie is excellent in this. Well written, well acted overall. It raises some interesting ideas about how much people should be expected to conform to "normal" society, and what motivates a person to help others. The story flowed very naturally and didn't have to rely on cliffhanger endings to keep you watching. One downside, as others have mentioned, is that the evil diet member subplot felt out of place. Still, very much worth watching!

This is one perfect romance that doesn't need passionate kissing. The supporting cast apart from the family is weak. But the script and exchanges between Mayuko and Sakuma are something i would watch and re-watch again. The sweetest part is of course her tugging at his shirt.

I enjoyed watching this drama. the story is very touching. Tomosaki rie did a great job as Mayuko, the autistic girl. It was fun watching Mayuko slowly becoming independent and slowly understanding the feelings of other people. Kamikawa takaya also did a great performance.

An excellent drama and performance by Rie Tomosaka. Deals with autism and barriers of autism mixed together in a love story. Interesting storyline which is not too simple and boring. Recommended realistic drama!
7. Comments by room304 [Rating: 5/10]
okay series. the storyline was nice enough and all the actors did a good job but for my taste the characters itself were too two-dimensional and therefore really boring after a few episodes.

I like Kamikaya Takaya so I was really looking forward to this drama. Still, some parts of the drama were a little hard to believe. Overall I liked it, though.

Very good drama. The main girl does a very excellent job in portraying an autistic woman... so real you wouldn't believe it if she said she wasn't autistic.

I think this actress is the best for this role. And the story is good too. You feel like you are being wrapped into the warmness of their love...
11. Comments by Andan [Rating: 6/10]
Tomosaka is great in the part of the autistic girl but almost all the characters around her are not enough tri-dimensional for my taste.

Tomosaka Rie is one good actress to watch. While she doesn't really have any classic/ popular works after her collaboration with Doumoto Tsuyoshi in the Kindaichi-series, she acts really well. Check out this dorama and you will get what I mean - Don't judge a book by its covers. Yes, this is not your cliche love story as thought to be.

Disable people are as important as normal human being. They have their own specialty that normal people need to acknowledge with time, so this drama is very good in the sense that, no matter how disable a certain person is, respect is still needed and if you listen to the person carefully, you'll understand them eventually.
