Synopsis
As a former gang member, Ichiban was witness to the worst side of the emergency medical system and vowed to become a doctor to change it. 1.	Hmmm [Rating: 7/10] Very different from what I expected...a bit exaggerating, nevertheless a heartwarming show. The shooting technique seemed pretty much like that of "Hero".

3.	Bad Ending [Rating: 5/10] Had a lot of expectations for this show but fell short of a lot people's expectations. Why is Nagase always acting like a gangster? Was he ever a gangster? He is more convincing as a gangster than a doctor!

4.	suge~! [Rating: 10/10] This dorama had me hooked. I watched it all in one day. The ending was so Grrr, but it fit in perfectly... Just not the happy ending many are used to.

6.	Not that good! [Rating: 6/10] The drama writer used the "Hero" style (multi-storyline) in a private hospital setting! If you cannot handle surgery scenes, don't watch this one. I'm a little bit disappointed because I'm a fan of Nagase Tomoya. His gangster look doesn't look right in a doctor's role! Some of the hottest young stars are in this one, but I'm not impressed...

8.	Bad Ending [Rating: 7/10] It's a nice drama with an awesome cast like Nino,Tomaya and Rina but the ending isn't as good.It's quite a funny drama too.

9.	so..so.. [Rating: 7/10] this drama is supremely funny only on nagase's parts...i like to watch those parts..but as the story comes to the end, it becomes more serious...btw,i love baka ichi and hope to see more doctors just like him in my town hospital...

10.	Don't worry, it IS HAPPY ENDING! [Rating: 9/10] Another Tsutsumi Yukihiko's direction -- together with Trick, Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Kisarazu Cat's Eye, Stand UP!, Sekaino Chushin de Aio Sakebu (TV drama ver.), Keizoku, Pikanchi, Pikanchi Double, etc.etc. About the ending, so many people are mistaken that this drama ends sadly. But NO! When you come through to the end credits, slow down the video and stop at the very last frame. Though for just a nanosecond, you can see someone lying in futon, holding a newspaper (earlier in this footage, some piles of newspaper are shown on the table, with its front-page headline reading: "The road reopened after 10 months from the tunnel rock falling.") In that room (with a name plate "Ichiban" on its door,) Ichiban's mother's photo is in the family altar, meaning that the person living in this room is her family (that should be him only). If he were dead, his photo should be there too, but only if there's the slightest chance of his remote relative living in this newspaper delivery shop. So, he's alive and still working with the same colleagues (probably at SMH) as another photo on the chest shows.

11.	the second half was good [Rating: 6/10] unlike Kurosagi, Handoku is a perfect example of why we should sometimes try to finish what we thought would be a horrible dorama. I reccomend this dorama to all of you who liked Ikebukuro West Gate Park becoz in my opinion, this dorama had the exact atmosphere and the somehow addicting magnet that makes you wanna continue watching. And for those who intend to download it (i don't know whether it's available or not since DLing doesn't work for me), I suggest you should not bother downloading the first six episodes becoz they were simply absurd yet plotless. The real story, which i thought was very worth watching, starts from episode 7. You will be surprised by how the atmosphere changes, it was great. But if you think your dorama watching experience wouldn't be perfect unless you watch the whole show, it's up to you to download all of 'em. i have to say the script writer did an awfully reckless job for not putting any plot at the first six episodes which made this dorama look like random bits of some insane doctor's everyday life. six episodes was bleh too long for a daymn introduction. A big round of applause and four, not two, but four thumbs up for the ending. Really, again i have to say the last 5 episodes were indeed entertaining. All those surprises... yummy. Very nice act by Nagase Tomoya and Ninomiya Kazunari, both were okay. And a very good opening theme song entitled DR by TOKIO. (by the way, in the handoku that i got there was music keys on the top right of the screen. i dunno whether it was provided by the subber or the original version does have it, i think it was and excellent idea, especially for those who like to play the guitar. wonder why they don't make it like that these days?) I would be giving it an 8/10 if i was only judging the last 5 episodes, but since the whole dorama has 11 episodes and of course we should judge the whole dorama without ignoring any part, the fact that more then half of the dorama -6 episodes- were rubbish, i'm giving it a 6/10 Thumbsup it's still worth watching, especially for those who enjoy Nagase.

Definately couldn't understand why Uchiyama Rina character refuse to stop pumping his heart & don't want him to die. They failed to make the audience feel enough compassion for Nobu (the kohai thingy should be more fleshier) and make Nobu much more sinister right from the start (making someone lick his shoes would be lovely). He is afteral a vicious young lad with a kind heart who Ichiban sensei adores and dotes to, but they failed in portraying this. Not a very good performance by Nino (but the scene when you tried to take on the tall Nagase Senpai was brilliant). The whole story is boring btw. There's some dry jokes, quirky moments & a dash of philosophy in it but all are rather sloppy. SLOPPY.
