As much as I want to love this because of Nakayama Miho it's not possible. The problem lies in the fact that this is a plot that in and of itself is impossible to end in any satisfactory way. This should have been a love story about the father falling in love with a younger girl and his son appearing as a relatively minor road block to the romance and for comic relief. The son is too stupid to be the star here. I knew very early that there would be no happy endings or sad endings, there is no no way to go with this plot but toward letdowns, but knowing that fact in advance I suppose in a sense that I wasn't actually letdown. |
