| Synopsis |
|---|
There has been a rash of graffiti in the Hon-ikegami station’s area. Police commissioner Shiina (Masanobu Takashima) tries to think of solutions, but Maejima (Bengaru) says that we are too short-staffed to really address the problem. At the same time, the rash of car theft that has spread around the country visits the Hon-ikegami area. New head of 2nd Division, Oyamada (Tokuma Nishioka), wants to solve the crimes quickly as does the station’s second-in-command Aoyagi (Isao Hashizume). However Shiina starts investigating the graffiti incidents himself... | | TBS |

Drama/Comedy based on a popular Manga series. This is not a serious drama it is goofy comedy well done. There are very few serious moments mostly about a chief who non conventional in his methods and police force who try to solve crimes but more importantly take care of the community. The humor and the drama remind me of Kimpachi Sensei in spots. The boke humor gets a little bit corny in spots. The drama of people trying to make relationships work will get to you.

The teaser of this 2nd season scared me, as did the first quarter of ep 1. Luckily, all the same elements of the 1st season are still here and the story's not getting boring. I like how even though each ep can stand alone as a story, the whole series is still connected and the story builds up on the past. Extremely funny episodes. Every one of them is devoted to a specific character so all of them develope during the play. Not much difference between the seasons! |
