Synopsis

Ask any nursery-aged little girl what she wants to be when she grows up and she's bound to say nurse, florist, or ballerina. Ask any nursery-aged little boy what he wants to be when he grows up and he's bound to say policeman, fireman, sports player, or pilot. As for 20-year-old young man Taiyo Suzuki, however, he's had different aspirations all his life. Moved by his elderly nursery school teacher, Taiyo decided then and there that he too would also become one. Now, having passed the nursery school teacher examination, bright-eyed and eager Taiyo is out to make his mark on a totally female-dominated world. Posted at the Himawari Nursery School to cover for another teacher on maternity leave, Taiyo has but a few short months to prove himself to the female teachers and children's mothers who are arrayed against him that he is every bit as capable as the women. And more importantly, along the way, he'll make his mark with his sparkle and energy to be a true best friend to the children at the school as well.

1.	boku suzuki taiyo.. gan-barimasu-..! [Rating: 8/10] though yet another drama that tugs at the heartstrings.. i'd say, go on, tug at it.. just that this time it has a different fcus.. with a bit of comedy in it too, and it really makes me happy.. sho-kun did a great job and all the supporting cast were good too, such as matsushita yuki.. i really felt the love radiating from taiyo-sensei.. especially love the episode on kenta and daisuke.. my two favourite kids in the whole show.. why does kenta have to be so cute..?! i learned a lot from this show.. i guess every good drama does teach that, but somehow i won't forget himawari hoikuen ne.. everyone in arashi except nino is in it.. at least as cameos.. =P you get to see lots of motherly love.. kodomo ii ne.. i used to think kids are troublesome, but i guess their cuteness changes everything..

2.	children power! [Rating: 10/10] It is a really touching yet funny and lovable drama. Too good to be missed! The little children sure have a way of acting i really have to praise them! The main actor is good too. Love this drama to bits and pieces!

4.	To be honest [Rating: 7/10] To be perfectly honest, I find that the energy of this drama is very high. I believe that this show is either you like it or you don't, there is almost no middleground. When I began watching this, it was out of a request of my friend's and to say the least, it was enjoyable but it wouldn't be one of the dramas that I would watch from a random stack. First of all, if you don't like little kids that are in kindergarden, this is not the drama for you. It's fluffy and cute, but it really gets on your nerves when they constantly shove that kind of element in your face so many times in one episode. Also, the female kindergarden teachers--I don't understand them. They act completely younger than they really are, with the exception from the principle and the Elder teacher with overly exaggerated gestures and overused expressions that usually teenagers usually use. Some of the mothers of the children, I understand that they are protective of their little ones, but it gets annoying when they say something like: "We're going to find a way to have you fired just because you are a male teacher." That is very annoying. Any new mother would give a teacher, male or otherwise, a chance unless there was a valid reason not to trust them. The best person, unless otherwise specified, are the best people to trust in the world is a teacher--that's what they are there for. The drama itself.... the plotline is pretty lame. All of the predictabilities of an American Soap-opera that can be guessed... yep, those techniques can be used here too. You can tell just what is going to happen, what lesson Sho is going to teach and the events are so predictable that my friend who has never watched a dorama before knew just what was going to happen next. Lastly, Sho's acting is not bad. If you are an Arashi fan, I highly recommend this dorama, however, if you are not, then this drama is not going to please you unless you have a liking for young children or are a mother yourself. BTW: I also have to add that Sho cries... a lot in this drama and each episode is roughly 70 minutes each. Personally, I think that that is pretty long, but if you enjoy it, then there is no complaint!

Sho was quite endearing playing the role of Taiyou sensei, I've warmed up to him much more now. He cries a lot, hahaha. ^^;;; Most of the time the story focuses on the problems of a particular kid at the time, I think mothers should like this show. Sometimes the kids aren't even cute (except Kenta :P) at all, Taiyou sensei is cuter cos he is sooo like a kid. That's what makes him special I guess, to be one of the 1% of the male kindergarten teachers in Japan~

3.	arashilove I watched this drama in one sitting and cried when it finished because I wanted more. Super sweet, super funny, and super cute. Wonderful acting by Sakurai Sho. If you aren't a fan of Sho, I guarantee you will be after watching this. It also has a great soundtrack, "Violet Flow" by Ruppina, and Arashi's own "Tomadoinagara". The perfect family drama!
