Oda Yuji makes a come back in a romance drama after his first many years ago in, "Tokyo Love Story." By the same guy who wrote the first, at that. There are some strange moments when Oda's character, Haruki, says the EXACT same lines to the love interest in Last Christmas from Tokyo Love Story. Also, Tokyo Love Story's idea is that he falls for the bright, spunky love right before his eyes--after a long, long time. Same with Last Christmas. If you liked Tokyo Love Story--try it set in 2004! The supporting cast is more interesting this time around, too. |

Although I watch this drama after Christmas, I feel that I am still very engrossed with it. I like the character of Oda Yuji in the drama… wow… he is such a nice man in it…. Gentle & caring for his girlfriend… I m so touched by his affection for his loved ones… heard that this is the 2nd love drama he shot after Tokyo Love Story… despite so many years of acting he is still the prince of all heart… actually I haven seen any of his drama or movie before & this is the 1st time I seen one of it…. I haf alady attracted by him… I shld oso said that dis kind of man really extinct in dis world… how I wish I know someone like him… the Yada Akiko & him really make a perfect couple when they have tiff once awhile… he really is such a nice man… ahh… to add on… there are several characters I like… Tamaki Hiroshi is one of them.. he is sooo handsome in the drama… & how can we not feel for him with his love to a gal whom he admire for 4 yrs… another funny characters would be Moriyama Mirai & Ihara Tsuyoshi… they make a normal story into a humorous one… whenever they appear, I would juz laugh… they brin so much happiness to audience… haha… come to think of that & I can still smile… haha… in addition… this drama has a very good OST selection…. the theme song “Last Christmas” is my favourite Christmas among all & I like both version by Oda Yuji & Wham… juz by hearing it, u will find urself once again surrounded by the Christmas ambience… the view & scenery will automatically appear in ur mind… how nice can it get…??!!!! that's basically why i rated highly for this drama also.... This drama is highly recommended by me & I hope everyone would watch it… thanks Kinkistuyo for lending me this drama…. if u watch it during off-x’mas season, this will definitely refresh your memory…!!! A very nice story with a high feel good factor. Ex hardass biker girl Aoi Yuri moves in next to Haruki Kenji's apartment, causing him a lot of grief thorugh the the joint door that both apartments share. Yuri has a soft side her however, and Kenji falls in love with her gradually. This drama is kept moving at a fast pace, which is great but sometimes too fast for it's own good as the ending felt a bit rushed. Props to Akiko Yada for looking absolutely smashing in this drama. The soundtrack was quite good in my opinion, although the retro WHAM songs may not suit everyone's taste. Overall, great drama. |

Deja vu of Tokyo Love Story all the way hahaha. But its good acting all round and Oda Yuji has made the role of the sensible, reliable but sensitive man, his. Though their age difference is quite obvious, the chemistry he strikes with Yada Akiko is quite believable. I found the tempo of the drama a bit slow at times, and the subplots were alright, not fantastic. Overall, a very decent drama worth watching, esp. for those fans of love dramas. Very romantic indeed. |

This was a great drama with an outstanding cast. I really enjoyed Yada Akiko and Oda Yuji's performance. They had great chemistry with one another and the dialogue between was both witty and cute. The other characters also faired pretty well although some of them were a little bit annoying at times and their problems just seemed to pop out from nowhere (not the man who played the boss though, I thought he was hilarious even when he made some pretty crude comments). The song put me in a somewhat Christmas-y mood even though it's the middle of June right now. =) I recommend watching it, it's a light-hearted romance and goes at an easy pace. |

One of the best love doramas. Watching this dorama reminds me of Beautiful Life. Both lead actress have some kind of serious illness but unlike beautiful life, this dorama ends with a happy ending.
The 1st few episodes are quite interesting and addictive and will makes you keep watching further. Nice story flows and somehow you will have the kind of holiday mood whenever you watch it.
Guess it is because of the X'mas theme song and the 80s music that makes the show interesting and memorable. If you are the 80s fan, you will definitely like this dorama.

Pretty much just a funny, cute, heart-warming romantic comedy that had a typical "happily-ever-after" ending. Some of it was a bit cliche, but I really like how the two main characters were able to trust each other when they were in love, whereas in a typical romance drama, the two main characters would develop a series of misunderstandings about each other through the whole drama and kept the audience frustrated for their stupidity >.< It's kind of bad, but I got hooked onto Oda Yuji's version of Last Christmas, it's just too catchy, even though he has a bit of a Japanese accent =P (not as bad as when he talks in English tho) |

I would say it was overall entertaining, but I guess I didn't love the chemistry too much. I think Yada Akiko was unable to give an up to par performance or presence as Oda Yuji had in the drama. Oda, though not entirely cute and lovable, just has a kind of warmth and humility around him that just shines through. The story was kind of weak as well, but I guess Yada Akiko's performance had a lot to do with how luckluster it felt since the main climax revolved around her character. It's definitely watchable, and if I were able to, I'd give it a 7.5~ |

While the love triangle story between Goro, the sexy girl and the boy....althou uninteresting, but i like their funny characters^^ oh, but I do like the husband and wife quarrel, between Kenji's first girlfren and her husband...hehee, funny! and they made up thru the radio, very romantic!!^^ their dog is sooooo cute!
But, really....this drama is really just about Kenji and Yuki, for me....^_^ Great couple! i love the scene where Kenji and Yuki did the Titanic-pose!! haha!^^
btw, dont you think the way Yuki calls, "Keen-ji~!!", is sooooo similar with the way Rika Akana calls, "Kaan-chi~!!" ??? i thought i went dejavu there for awhile x) |

Well, pretty average. Good actors with average cuteness acting in an average story. Only Ryo convinces completely. I think the storyline is pretty much stripped down to the love relationships, nothing besides it. For me, too many couples (nearly EVERY main character forms a couple with another), way too much "coincidents", a bit too much kitsch, what results from the christmas setting, I think.
I was partly bored by this dorama, but maybe I watched too many in a too short time span. |

Although I didn't like the actors I really enjoyed this drama, that shows the storyline and characters were great. I love the ending, nice ending...it wasn't really predictable...just fifty fifty..hehe~
I loved the romance scenes, that was the big difference between other dramas, mostly other dramas just let the couple get together without deeply showing problems withing the couple or how they concern each other. That was really well made...but not as good as K-dramas^^ |

Love this one. First, I thought, “Ooo… Someone will die in these series” when Kenji say that I am not alone and hold the box. I just want to stop it right away. I am so glad that I didn’t stop watching it. These series makes me laugh in every episode and I enjoy the relationship between the cast.
But, I think they should improve the ending and not let Oda sing the soundtrack. |

this was my first completed jdorama, so the rating is a bit biased. i got the feeling that yuji oda put in more effort than akiko yada, but the show was nevertheless entertaining enough. not life changing but decent enough... i also liked how the two stayed in separate rooms connected by a door. i didn't like the sub-plot about tamaki hiroshi. that dude cannot act and lacked charisma. |

Fun show.. although it gets a little cookie cutter at times, employing all the jdrama stereotypes/cliches you can muster.
Oda Yuji is the classic ne'er do wrong - always compromises his own needs to help others, etc. The drama falls into the classic episodic 'new problem - frustration - solution - resolution - new problem arises' cycle for most of the series. The ending's a little cheesy and again, abusive: they spend a lot of effort trying to mislead you.
All in all, fun to watch. Not great, but certainly not bad. Aoi's a darling, if a pain. I love the childhood friend, Sally (Ryo) - she's awesome. And the chick who hooks up with Tamaki Hiroshi's character is really really pretty.
Check it out. I won't be watching it again, but I'm glad I got through it :) |

I never finished this drama. I got super close though. I had maybe 1 or 2 episodes left. It's kinda cute. The thing that bothered me a lot though was the main character was supposed to be an ex-motorbike gang member.. and she was in NO WAY intimidating. It's wayyyy obvious that she's just some cute girl. Nothing special about this one. I found the side characters' stories more interesting. |

Watched this because it was shown on Channel U with English subs. Thank God!!! Like Saiyuki, watched for the sake of watching for my weekly dose of Jdrama.
The plot is actually quite okay. Was curious to know what happens next. But i guess just like the other love themed stories, it didn't appeal that much to me. Something was missing. But the drama gave me a nice happy feel, though.
Yugo Kanno composed the OST for this drama. Great job Mr Talented No. 2!!! I have given this drama an extra point just because of the OST. :) |

JUUUUUUST BRILLIANT! this dorama is brilliant from start to finish with all the casts giving a solid performances, hence my ratings! Oda Yuji and Yada Akiko the 2 main characters who end up falling in love after they become neighbours, are fantastic in their convincing fantastic acting. Especially for a guy, Yada Akiki`s character Yuki is soo sweet even though she tries putting on a brave face all the time that u just wanna cuddle her! (sweat) anyways i recommend this to everyone who like japanese dorama! RATED 10. |
