| 1. | Comments by yt [Rating: 3/10] gave up after ep2... |
| 2. | Comments by Hinano [Rating: 3/10] I couldn't even make it through episode 1 & out of curiosity I scrolled through 2 & 3 and ended up deleting everything. I won't even watch this for Nino's sake u_u; |
| 3. | Comments by kinkitsuyo [Rating: 9/10] Watched 2 episodes so far... I shld be continuing with it... ( I am watching for the sake of Nino) Compared to other jdoramas of the same season, this is significantly slower pace (partly explained the drop in ratings). However, scenery is nice, and cast is not toobad so far. |
| 4. | Comments by tjddks [Rating: 6/10] umm..... so so @@ |
| 5. | Comments by Marit [Rating: 8/10] I don`t understand why ppl tell it is not worth watching or that it is not very good jdorama.. I love it.. Love the atmosphere there.. althought yes, it is a slowpaced jdorama, but why should it be a jdorama that has in every episode action? :S |
| 6. | Comments by shozen [Rating: ?/10] also watching this now. its a slow drama, so its hard for me to get into. |
| 7. | Comments by Kirari Ililah [Rating: 8/10] One of Nino's best character portrayals, some ups and downs, but one of his great roles...
This drama you should be patient with, and enjoy the elegance they reveal, with the location, and father & son relationship that steadily becomes more intense, the truth revealed between both characters... |
| 8. | Comments by lovejdorama [Rating: ?/10] Wish List! |
| 9. | Comments by selphie086 [Rating: 6/10] It's a slow plot,a little too slow for me sometimes.I enjoyed the father-son relationship thing but the in between stories that happened was a little too draggy for me.Watched it initially for Nino.He gave a wonderful performance here. |
| 10. | Comments by fybabe [Rating: 10/10] I've finished it! It's soooo beautiful! I watched it for Nino at first (never seen him act before), but he blended into the story so well that you actually lost your attention on him and concentrate on the plot/other characters instead. I don't find it 'slow' like most of the other reviews. Rather I thought it's shot like a movie style/pace than the average dorama.
And the theme song is awesome!
However, I thought that Nino could have portrayed a more 'rebellious' type character according to the story. He is too docile to have that comflicting edgyness...
BUT, strangely, the ending is so hopelessly touching that the whole time I just want to give Nino a big hug... he really tugs at your heartstrings at the end.
A must watch if you're looking for something more warm and mellow then the average quick and noisy stereotypes. |
| 11. | Comments by Kawaii Kinomoto [Rating: 8/10] it's so sad how nino always gets stuck with the horrible/broken up families in his dramas... lol... but OMG!!!! THIS SHOW IS SOOOOOOO SAD!!!! IT MADE ME CRY SO MUCH!!!! plot is kinda slow and boring(especially some of the scenes in the coffee house) but really sweet and cute as well!! great acting... especially from nino!!! luv ya tons nino!!!! |
| 12. | Comments by Kazanko [Rating: 9/10] nice graphics. good story which is told very slowly. one of the better dramas |
| 13. | Comments by Susan [Rating: 9/10] This is a lovely series. I cried a fair bit in just the first few episodes. Such a sad beginning, but what a lovely, graceful ending. Really a must see, with wonderful acting all around and beautiful scenery. |
| 14. | Comments by Prongs [Rating: 8/10] One of Nino's best drama |
| 15. | Comments by cheery [Rating: 8/10] Although the story is moving in a slow pace, I find the father an son story very touching... And Nino did really well for this show! |
| 16. | Comments by Akiko-chan [Rating: 10/10] such a beautiful drama ^_^ |
| 17. | Comments by norani [Rating: ?/10] Ninamiya Kazunari |
| 18. | Comments by buzzybug [Rating: 10/10] Another superb acting by a superb actor!!! I can see a different Nino in here... and Azu-chan did a very good job too... I love the scenery, and the soundtrack, is good |
| 19. | Comments by dunadan [Rating: 10/10] You'll love it by the end. |
| 20. | Comments by Hemilya [Rating: 10/10] So... tender. So full of right thoughts. One of the best dramas I've watched. |
| 21. | Comments by Jessicasoon [Rating: 8/10] it's abit slow and silent for me due to the numerous old people talks. but nino's parts are so touching that i racked the points up for this drama by alot. i don't really like the young female lead. she's crazy. nino deserves better girls. i cried so much for nino so i'll say it's worth nino's effort in this drama. |
| 22. | Comments by xhidex33 [Rating: 8/10] A bit slow and draggy, but the story was nicely laid out.
The side stories were good too.
Pretty heartwarming though. |
| 23. | Comments by yo-chan [Rating: 9/10] Yasashii Jikan is just the perfect title for this. It's slow an quiet, yet a really really beautiful dorama! Within the beautiful landscape of Hokkaido we get to know father and son, who, with the help of a girl, get together again after years of emotional isolation.
Nino does such a good job at this! |
| 24. | Comments by Ged [Rating: ?/10] Oh, not quite done yet, two episodes left to watch. But It is a wonderful touching story. Even though it is a littel slow sometimes, I enjoyed the change of pace, and the relaxed atmosphere of the Cafe. |
| 25. | Comments by Kaidasalene [Rating: 9/10] Very different style show for me(it being serious and all) but is very good. |
| 26. | Comments by lawsco [Rating: 8/10] I liked this one & thought it better than most but my wife really liked this one a lot. That bumped it to an 8 for me!! |
| 27. | Comments by atleast13 [Rating: ?/10] honestly, i love all nino dramas. this guy can act. but i often wonder what if he's given the role of a happy guy. would he be able to pull it off. this guy belongs to the darkside. terao is a very, very good actor. but he only has 4 dramas so i wonder if he's new. |
| 28. | Comments by minitotoro [Rating: 10/10] u'd think it's slow but
that's wut makes it great at the end
nino's part was awsome!!! <333
and masami chan too
the plot was just crazily great!!!! |
| 29. | Comments by haruyume [Rating: ?/10] Heard this was very good.. It sounds like it's good for the soul. Must get this one @@ |
| 30. | Comments by ainangst [Rating: 10/10] very calming, very beautiful. Wonderful cast (Master RULEZ! masami so sweet...her character is so flawed its endearing). Ninomiya Kazunari made me cry yet again...now its tears of joy. Perfect climax for the story. Still thinking of Taku's tears... |
| 31. | Comments by shortmei [Rating: 9/10] Slow-paced but extremely heartwarming. Lovely view of Hokkaido too. The father-son relationship was quite interesting and had me wanting to know how things turned out. Definitely a drama I don't regret seeing. |
| 32. | Comments by minerva [Rating: 9/10] Slow paced, but very beautiful and simple. The acting of the cast are great! |
| 33. | Comments by doink-chan [Rating: 2/10] I usually like slice-of-life series but this one was rather boring. The scenery is beautiful, though. But doinkies gave up after a couple episodes. |
| 34. | Comments by merkuryo [Rating: 7/10] heavy but a bit dragging.. some of the concepts introduced grew old quickly.. nino and satomi were good.. |
| 35. | Comments by Tiffany [Rating: 5/10] What can I say? Ninomiya is a brilliant actor; everytime I watch his doramas, I feel that he is PERFECT for that role! I have yet to find a dorama that proves this wrong. However, as for this series itself, I felt it moved at too slow of a pace to truly enjoy. It was not just the storyline that moved slowly, but every person seemed to be moving in slow motion, and that proved to be incredibly frustrating. |
| 36. | Comments by Kiyomi L. Denise [Rating: 5/10] Yeap. Bought it. BOUGHT IT!!! Oh My God. I regret. Since I bought it, i have to finish WATCHING it!! My, my... Right, it wasn't THAT bad. But look at my rating, it wasn't THAT good either. Anyway, for Nino, anything's worth it... *sob* (i shouldn't have bought it)... |
| 37. | Comments by kumaxell [Rating: 5/10] This drama is SLOW. And because of it's slowness, we fully appreciate each character in this drama. |
| 38. | Comments by czajka [Rating: ?/10] [3nd] I've watched three episodes so far. The father-son plot is a little bit addicting. The rest...I don't know yet.
MUST DOWNLOAD MORE! |
| 39. | Comments by Bodhi [Rating: 10/10] Only watched the 1st 8 episodes so far but it is one of my favorite dramas |
| 40. | Comments by icpmat [Rating: 7/10] beautiful sceneries, but very slow at times. Nino was very good in this one, Masami's charater is annoying at times. |
| 41. | Comments by kaonashi [Rating: 7/10] Surely not a drama where you can't wait to find out how it'll end, but if you're in the mood for a slow & gentle drama, it's not that bad. The episodes are fairly short & they're not overdoing the story or dragging out on things.
I'd say this drama's good for beeing a mediocre one & I'm giving it a 7- for its peaceful touch & beautiful scenery. |
| 42. | Comments by Eve [Rating: 10/10] Probably the most moving and visually beautiful dramas Ive seen yet! Dont miss it!! |
| 43. | Comments by masnita [Rating: 8/10] A nice family dorama....and the relationship between all the family members. |
| 44. | Comments by athida [Rating: 7/10] It was really slow for me but if you like slow-paced dramas, you would enjoy this. There were a few touching scenes. |
| 45. | Comments by Tokibaka [Rating: 8/10] really slow but, oh so beautiful. |
| 46. | Comments by lynn [Rating: 8/10] Download |
| 47. | Comments by moonchyld [Rating: 7/10] watched it for nagasawa masami. i kinda found her portrayal here disturbing, esp when she blanks out as she drops plates.. her expression shows something deeper and more warped than the explanation that she has suicidal tendencies. anyway the drama was overall not too bad, but it's not the kind that would get you hooked. i didn't see how the customers and their stories had any effect on the progression of the drama, that's why I guess most people found this extremely dragging. With the title, I think the drama is meant to be slow and gentle and beautiful; it is - but it lacked the most important thing of all - depth. |
| 48. | Comments by Tad [Rating: 8/10] Mostly good, a drama which can bring a few tears in your eyes. few long boring scenes though. |
| 49. | Comments by onigiriman [Rating: 9/10] Kuramoto Soh is great at human dramas. This story of reconciliation between father and son really gets to me.... |
| 50. | Comments by sucigam [Rating: 8/10] This is a drama you really have to be in the right mood to watch since it's slow moving with an emphasis on characters rather than story. It gets quite compelling as I became more attatched to the characters as the story progressed and when it finally ended I was genuinely moved. The writer of the show obviously has a very good understanding of his characters(especially his older ones) and the only downfalls come from some scenes that become way to melodramatic(pretty much any scene nagasawa is crying). On a side note, Yo Kimiko also has the best performance I've seen from her by FAR, I was very impressed with how she under acted her role.
Reccomended watching on a lazy weekend :). |
| 51. | Comments by loveaomori [Rating: 1/10] A man working at a cafe who wait 11 episodes to meet his son whom he argued with.... No!! It's not what you think!! It's not interesting at all!!!!!! It will be more interesting to take a camera and film me in toilets. Yes certainly more interesting. And the young waitress just pissed me off! Oh I broke a plate!! sorry!! oh I'm completely stupid!! oh sorry! Nothing in this dorama. The only satisfaction in it is....... sorry I can't find one! je t'ai casse! |
| 52. | Comments by aoi_dolphine [Rating: 9/10] It's a slow paced drama worth watching as Nino protrays the son who is coming to terms with his action. Very heart-warming drama. |
| 53. | Comments by Mali [Rating: 10/10] Beautiful, really beautiful... So relaxing, so "yashashii"... Really enjoyed watching. Great theme song too. |
| 54. | Comments by ffrostte [Rating: ?/10] watching ... |
| 55. | Comments by tabana [Rating: 9/10] Beautiful. Worth watching just for the landscape. Kind of slow paced and relaxed drama. Different than the urban and fast paced I've seen so far. Loved it. |
| 56. | Comments by fasix [Rating: ?/10] Affectionate Time |
| 57. | Comments by Eyeyore [Rating: 9/10] Got to get myself a coffee grinder, book myself a ticket to Hokkaido in autumn…..and oops, cut down on my coffee – it’s my 12th cup now. I am going crazy over this all guys’ story. You don't need a pretty gal in this setting or the branded clothes to catch the eye. The story is slow all right, but the crackling firewood, sound from grinding coffee beans, birds chirping is so calming. |
| 58. | Comments by cori [Rating: 8/10] This is a nice story about an estranged father and son, who gradually come to find themselves wanting to reunite with each other.
I thought this was a poignant story and the acting was done well. I was particularly surprised at the fine job that Nino did in this drama, as the son with a tormented past.
Though this drama is slow-paced, it was a well-told story and I recommend it. |
| 59. | Comments by eml132 [Rating: 7/10] Slow paced drama but the story is heartfelt and the cast/acting is great. |
| 60. | Comments by oldasianguy [Rating: 10/10] This drama shocked me in how good it was...slow paced...but totally engrossing...as the drama unfolded..just got sucked in....great entertainment!!!!!!! |
| 61. | Comments by gaijinmark [Rating: 9/10] Emotionally, almost on the same level as Beautiful Life, great performances from Nino, Akira Terao, and Kimiko Yo. |
| 62. | Comments by sanugrah [Rating: 7/10] slow pace story, breeze .. |
| 63. | Comments by dekatrain [Rating: 6/10] A VERY slow drama about a son who has been emotionally distanced from his father, although actually living physically right beside him since their falling out. To be honest, I was a little disappointed and annoyed with this drama - while the ending was predictable and satisfying, I wasn't moved by it in the way I originally thought I was going to be. |
| 64. | Comments by kirei_lanford [Rating: 10/10] magnificently good.. true emotion,, an ironic relationship between dad and son |
| 65. | Comments by 206 [Rating: 7/10] Nice concept for a coffee house. Lot's of nice visual shots here but the story is a bit slow. |
| 66. | Comments by pinkokoro [Rating: ?/10] COMPLETE. |
| 67. | Comments by aiscess [Rating: 8/10] For the story, I give it an 7 and +1 for the setting, since I come from a country with no winter season. About the fated reunion, since it's father and son, and not the usual father and daughter or mother and son, their reuniting scene was not too emotional. I was not really surprise. Master's misunderstandings of Taku was already answered as the episodes went on so it was not that hard for him when they finally saw each other. But not on Taku's case though. |
| 68. | Comments by JackClark [Rating: 6/10] boring but nice. |
| 69. | Comments by v1olet [Rating: 10/10] The story was interesting and so humane. The sceneries of Hokkaido was so beautiful. That Forest Clock Cafe was so unique and cozzy. Nice theme song. |
| 70. | Comments by Wynter [Rating: 10/10] This drama is perfect in every way. It was like drinking a freshly brewed coffee. I highly recommend it to all who appreciate true beauty. |
| 71. | Comments by Shiranui [Rating: 10/10] An amazing drama that only a few truly appreciative people can enjoy. |
| 72. | Comments by irwinner [Rating: 6/10] Boring and slow moving story. |
