1. A very moving drama [Rating: 8/10]
I was skeptical about watching this movie at first but I am glad I did because it was great and one of a kind. There wasn't much said in the synopsis part about the drama except that it was about Mei and A-kun dealing with trials they had to face in their life.

Well the drama is about destined love. Mei and A-kun were destined to be with each other but there are a series of unfortunate circumstances that prevent them from being together. Whether it be parents who objects to the relationship or rivals, these two had to deal with it all the way to the end.

There are a lot of twist and turns throughout the drama but each character introduced did play a significant role in bring the entire plot of the drama together. I just didn't know why everything had to be so tragic before everybody became happy. There are so many characters wanted to kill themselves or turned into drugs after being dealt a bad hand in life/love.

As far as the actors themselves, they did an ok job playing each character. Nobody really stood out except for Kimura Ryo who played "Taka". He went from being the comic relief in the beginning, the hated boyfriend in the middle, and then just like that he met a tragic end.

2. When things go wrong all the time... [Rating: 8/10]
Drama was quite sad all the time. It seemed that there was rarely any moments of happiness. Plot was going on nicely and all the side characters were deepened enough. Maybe even too much at some points.

Watching this series really gave me lots of moments of desperate 'cause nothing seemed to go OK. But the ending was happy and made it all worth watching :) Cast was ok for main parts and some unexpected plot twists happened even though there was lot of predictable ones also. Though the predictable ones were always sweet ones, so it doesn't matter so much :)

2 points away from perfect come from telling a bit too much. I think its nice to deepen side characters, but it looked like they were having too much trouble to take focus of the main plot.

I recommend this for everyone who likes dramatic love stories and are not afraid of brutal reality of modern days, like drugs, bullying and suicides.

3. Teenager romantic comedy [Rating: 7/10]
This was a good surprise to me as well. None of the actors is really famous yet, yet all of them did a very good job. The storyline is quite conventional, and some twists are predictable, but not all of them, and all characters are enjoyable.
This is a classic teenager romantic comedy with 2 high school students who are destined to be together but keep missing each other for all the wrong reasons. Some serious elements are included in the storyline, such as drugs, suicide, divorce, etc, but not for the purpose of writing a serious story, only to give the story some new twists. The dorama is never dark though, some moments are sad (but is there a romantic dorama without its sad moments?) but never dark.
I recommend it for fans of romance in the teenage years.

4. Wished it went a little more deeper [Rating: 7/10]
This drama sends out a message that is quite important for today's younger society. Drugs, suicide and so on. I just wish these themes could have been used with greater depth in the plot. The acting wasn't that bad but could have been better. The songs used for the drama are really nice though. Overall its an okay watch.

5. Suprisingly good! [Rating: ?/10]
It's been a long time since i have had drama this compelling on my watch list. I'm really surprised how good the emotions transfer even though I'm far from that age generation as the actors. Looking forward of next ep's.

I'm surprised that I actually like this drama. Quite compelling I say. each episode ends with me feeling to watch everything continuously, and that said, I'm actually marathoning all episodes. sometimes somes of the scene might be quite far-fetched or unrealistic to some, but it's all good if you can digest them. I'm actually rooting for the hero and heroin a lot, they just gave me a very warm feeling. I found both so sweet, strong and innocent. the drama also deals with serious issues such as drug, teenage pregnancy, suicide etc, though sometimes I do feel that the issues are not dealt with deeply but still.... to me is a good watch. that surprised me because I read some review that comment it to be koizora-like - dealing with teenage love and serious issue liek pregnancy etc, and since I don't like koizora (the movie, and because of that I don't feel like watching the drama) I expect that I might not like Akai Ito very much. I am wrong. I actually like this drama.

Nicely produced dorama with great cast and acting. Mei-chan and A-kun chemistry is perfect, and chemistry between the different characters is really good too. From the beginning I had the feeling something bad was going to happen, and finally I couldn't believe so many bad things were happening. Mei-chan is really an unlucky girl. There were some twists I feel weren't needed (Taka-chan behavior with Mei-chan is something I just didn't like at all, and it felt completely unnecessary). It was lovely to see Kimura Ryo in a quite different role; I love this guy! Watch if you want to cry a bit and really like almost impossible love stories.

Follows a bunch of kids from middle school to highschool and their friendship is in one way very well done and realistic. But then again a lot the dramatic elements are completely out of this world, I am especially thinking about the drug abuse and jealousy storylines. Another minus in my opinion is that the young actors seem unexperienced and needed perhaps stronger direction. In short with a bit of rework and avoidance of cliches it could have been groundbreaking.

watching...ep.9
very very good so far!

reminds me a little bit of Last Friends in that it deals with a lot of sensitive and controversial issues like drugs and domestic violence. The only difference is that these characters are in middle school. You watch each character try to cope with the pain inside of them in different ways as friends watch on and try to help. it's a serious drama, but it's very very good; i definitely recommend it! :)

I really loved it! I'm so rooting for Mei and A-kun, they really are meant for each other. Both leads are so young and yet they've already been experiencing a lot about the downside of life most especially Mei (which only started in episode 4), although it didn't really directly happened to them. With a heartwarming theme song from HY, which already says it all, this was really a nice youth romance drama and it's way better than Koizora.

is so sad tat they haf so many obstacles along the way.
and Mei's character is so poor thing~ having always met with "mishap" , be it ppl or incidents.
i like those photos that they displayed at the end of the show... is very apt. and nice theme song, 366days, so meaningful.
overall, the story is sad n touching n somehow is encouraging too.

Actually nothing special; teenage love story with their problems. But I personally liked this drama because even though the plot was so common (teenage pregnancy, drugs, love triangles, suicide attempts...) I was touched and found it really romantic. But some parts were really slow and dragging.

Thought this would be just another teenage romance drama, but it was much better than I expected! My only complaint is that I think they tried to do too much. The drug abuse story went too far and the Mami character really didn't add anything. But otherwise I thought it was very good.

A good drama, it was moving and represented a lot of serious issues in a way that coincided nicely with the drama plot, despite the plot being extremely tangled up and messy! Kudos to Nao's acting, it was nice to see a girl who was not trying to be overly cutesy and overacting.

There is a very beautiful plot and concept to this drama which is maybe why I love this drama so much :) all the hardships that the couple had to go through before obtaining their love is so cute!! <3 I really liked this drama. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

Nice drama.....Touched many social issues but did not delve deep enough....I liked the theme of the show...symbolized with a red thread.......however the show ends with the couple only in their mid teens....they have many more years to live yet.....

Very nice story, perfect acting, I love how a lot of different little stories there are in this drama, so many things happen , it makes it interesting and "catchy". Totally my type of drama. No more words for it, I love it, it's perfect!

the character Atsushi is really sweet...although as of the moment i'm just in episode 5, i've read some glimpse of the other episodes...and honestly, i kinda find the whole story disturbing especially that it's a true to life story...

A well made drama, but it doesn't really seem to understand where to put itself. Sometimes it's draggy, sometimes overdramatic. The final episodes are not satisfying either, while the beginning and middle is good and sometimes great.

it's the best drama!! i love it.. i super love it!! haha.. the storyline is so convincing *destiny huh*!! it's so beautiful, they did a great act too!! i wish i have a bunch of friends like that!! SUPER WORTH WATCHING!

after i accepted the destiny/coincidence aspects, this dorama was pretty fun. sometimes the atmosphere is dark and full of troubles, but 'cause of these coincidences the plot is realy interesting.
18. Comments by akitsu [Rating: 6/10]
The storyline was very weak, very predictable except for the violance (when you rember from the previous episode that the guy loves her endlessly) but I liked it somehow.
19. Comments by aoiharu [Rating: 9/10]
The OST is really nice.
I think this story develops better than koizora.
Either way, both are teenage romance dramas that were trying to touch on serious issues...

This drama hits on alot of different issues...which kinda surprised me. It was sorta sad all the way through. I'm glad that it all tied up with a happy ending.
