weird as hell but in a good way I love it that's all I can say like nothing else I've ever seen, the closest would be the anime Haiban Renmei which I also love

This is by far one of the best doramas I've ever seen. Being the 99th dorama I watch, it's the first time I feel I *need* to rewatch it to fully understand everything. I mean, at the end I was like WTF?? I could only try to imagine what everything was about. This show just reminded me to LOST (because of all these clues left everywhere and many unanswered questions) and to Cube (white!). It is a really weird show, full of strange characters and with a heavy and bizarre atmosphere; music and characters are just great. Slow paced, I just felt as if all the steps taken and clues found were appearing out of the blue, with no meaning at all. That's why I feel there are soooo many details I missed. It also reminded me to those old PC graphic adventures, with many details in the scenarios, just for fun, that had nothing to do with the story. I will definitely watch it again, once or twice, as I know I will discover new important things so I can piece things together. A MUST see. Please don't miss this show, even if you feel it's two complex or meaningless. It is NOT. It is just a brillian dorama. Btw I haven't seen Twin Peaks and as everyone seems to be comparing these two shows, I want to watch it too :D

It was incredibly weird, but also incredibly enthralling. What strikes me about Atami no Sousakan is how the first scene, and the entire first episode in fact, threw me off completely, but also drew me right into the series by the end. I had to know why everyone and everything was like "that." I knew I was about to jump into a spectacle, and so it was, but not with the fervent energy I expected. Rather, it was relaxing to watch each episode thanks to the show's cool tone and its mostly low-tension characters, but I was never bored. The opposite in fact. The plot is a tad strange, typical of Miki Satoshi's work, but all in all made some kind of sense by the end. I have to applaud him for creating a few really fascinating characters, and for really surprising me with the conclusion, which is arguably the best of the entire series. Some of the comedic timing was off, but they made up for it with a couple of really strong actors, most notably Fuse Eri, who just blew me away! She was adorable and so funny. Overall VERY watchable, of not a MUST-WATCH for 2010.

The most weirdest drama i've ever seen. Don't get me wrong, i'm a big fan of suspense and unique drama, but this drama is just bad. I watched it because of good review in this jdorama. But i realize they are wrong. The actor and actress are done a good job, a joke between Odagiri and Fuse eri is well executed, the pace is okay. The problem in here is the story, they are too much USELESS character in this drama, just tooooo much. I know the writer want to us to get confused, but he ended up gettin me dizzy. The music is fortunately good for this weird drama.

A wonderful nod to Twin Peaks, but a warning first. This surely isn't everybody's cup of tea. It's an excentric show populated with whacky characters, if you feel uncomfortable with black/bizarre humor or didn't like Twin Peaks at all give it a miss. For the rest of us this mystery a must-see! I love every single character in this series but felt that not enough airtime was given to each of them - I would have liked 1 or 2 episodes more. Perhaps a season 2? PS: Fuse Eri is a peach!

Really awesome dorama, with great acting from the whole cast. I wouldn't say it's better than the other 2010 crime dorama I've seen which is "Shinzanmono". They are good in each their way and are both very close to a 9 from me.

Interesting story and lots lots of hidden truth that made me curious until the revelation time. Some funny aside jokes made the drama crunchy...

You know it's going to be strange when Odagiri Joe is one of the more "normal" characters. Eri Fuse was a hoot!!
