I don't understand the low ratings this series is getting reading the comments from this site. I thought it was a really great series. Perhaps it's because i haven't seen the original movie. Watching this series was the first time i got in thouch with this story. Although i agree Nagasawa Masami being a bit of a cry baby in the series. But the acting was great, not forgetting the amazingly emotional background music, which altogether almost got a tear out of me (which doesn't happen very often) after each episode. Because of the good acting, as a watcher, you can identify with the characters, and wish them happiness. Each life that's lost from the small yakuza group is a sad experience. Eventhough i wished the members a better faith, their death is in fact the strength of this tv-series. I recommend this tv-series to anyone who likes dramas filled with strong emotions en outstanding acting. |

I kind like this dorama... Altough i tough it was a comedy (judging from what i've seen on the first episode) i was really shocked to find out that it was a tragedy...
And thats something unusual... Nagasawa Masami's character would fit a comedy dorama better. Nothing agaisnt Nagasawa~chan... but they could give her a character that would actually fit the plot. The rest of the casting is ok... nothing spetacular nor bad.
Well... i liked the plot... very original!! The only huge problem is the one mention before... tha main char. doesnt fit the story...
But overall its a nice dorama... |

Great! High school girl with machine guns.. what can you ask for more? I'll definately stick around to see the finale for this one. The Yakuza looks cozy (just the 5 of them.. and they are kind hearted too).
The succeeding episodes are quite lame in my opinion. Their gang isn't very well managed, and the members aren't very strong. They all just died at the end, which I thought some of the way the member died are purly out of stupidity. They should have planned it better. It breaks my heart to see them die like that. To me, it's just so pitiful. |

It's a bad dorama. Great actors with potential but only tsutsumi acts at his level. The girl is so loudy, I want to punch her. How could have they decide to obey her and accept her as thier leader! Anyway, if the story is bad and everybody die all the time (I just wanted the girl to die) you'll be able to see good view of asakusa! which is already a good point! And the theme song is original.a-------i shitaaa otokotachi wo.... lalalala |

Well, at least it was short. I did not enjoy Nagasawa Masami very much in this drama (or any other so far). Her character was superbly annoying. I liked Tsutsumi Shinichi but I was sad how his character ended. This drama was, overall, very depressing and also boring at times. It's watchable if you have nothing better to do, though. |

Dec 2006: I like Masami's character is this drama, with squeeky high pitched tone xD But the whole yakuza theme turns me off. The plot is cheesy and predictable, and the ending sucked. Luckily it's only 7 episodes, but then the show could have ended in 2-3 episodes actually, since it's a remake of the movie version. |

if want sailor no fuku to kikanju, WATCH THE MOVIE, this is TERRRRRRRIBLE..the movie is WAY better than this...i dnt even know wat this was...u seriously dont have to watch anything but the last episode. i gave it a 3 cus nagasawa masami, ogata ken, and tsutsumi shinichi were in it, a point for each actor |

I liked it. Not as mass market, light or "friendly" as gokusen, yet not a full blown bloody Yakuza thing.
A few parts bothered me, mostly due to the production and effects. That kind of left me thinking "what the..." .
It might look kind of short, but it wouldn't been as good with more episodes. |

Gangster films are always cool. Nice pace so far. But the story does not make much sense; given the fact that enemy gang is so dominating, they could have annihilate the protagonist's gang in 2 episodes...yet I bet they will take the entire serie to finish the business. Getting worse and worse |

this should never have been made. none of it made sense. for those who want to see a school girl carrying a machine gun, just skip the first chapters and watch the last episode. for that matter, just watch the last episode. the rest are shown in flashback and that is already too much info. |

ok, i was really hopeful since this has masami in it (loved her performance in sekachuu movie)... but ack! i couldn't continue after the 1st episode.. it had a i-already-know-what-will-happen feel from the beginning, and masami didn't shine at all! very disappointed. |

I anticipated this series, but I was bored from the first few episodes onwards. I thought the plot was cheesy and weak, and while I understand Nagasawa Masami is highly regarded for her thespian skills these days, I was not convince through this drama. |

Had a good start, but tries to include to much cheesy "important lessons of life" throughout the drama. Kind of like a GTO thing (i.e. fun, but needs to teach the audience a cheesy lesson with every episode). It's entertaining, but not for long. |

I think they made this a bit too cute. My memory is not so great, but I think the original movie with Yakushimaru Hiroko was grittier. The yakuza types were like real yakuza. |
