1. Gokusen 1 Was Enough [Rating: 1/10]
Wow - what a carbon copy of Gokusen 1. Yikes.

For starters, Gokusen 1 was... well, most of it was very good. The only thing that bugged me was the outrageously fake fighting scenes, and the fact that the actress and actor playing Yankumi and Sawada Shin are obviously not very athletic (that doesn't mean that they are not in shape). While I could have put this aside, the fact was, the outrageously fake fighting scenes were in every episode, and I always had to watch a very unathletic Yankumi battle her way through twenty or so guys for harming her dear students.

Oh - and the, "Who am I? I am their homeroom teacher," line was pretty cool the first time, and then it got really annoying as she used that as her "entrance speech" before she beat up each different group of kids/adults.

But anyway, I'm getting off topic. As much as it may seem I don't like Gokusen 1, I really, really, did - I managed to put up with the afore mentioned simply because the acting was semi-decent, it was lighthearted, and the concept itself was new - a Yakuza teacher taking control of her gangster-like students is definetly not a cliche in my book.

But ONCE is enough. Honestly, Gokusen 2 was EXACTLY the same. The only reason I could see for people to watch it was because Kame and Jin were in it. And honestly, Kame and Jin can't replace the image Matsumoto-san put for us of Sawada Shin. And I would say the same if Kame and Jin starred in the first one - Matsumoto-san wouldn't be able to replace them. Once you have a 3-D leader, that's the 3-D leader you stay with - Kame and Jin simply couldn't beat Matsumoto-san. It would have been better if they had been put into a different drama, so that their talents could have been better showcased.

And poor Nakama Yukie - I really pity her. I would hate to have done that all over again. I must say, Gokusen 2 was simply Gokusen 1 with different actors - and I must say, the actors from Gokusen 1 were much better. Having the same thing happen for every episode amazingly worked in Gokusen 1, due to the new idea of the drama and the good acting jobs that pulled the show along, but it simply can't be done AGAIN for a second season. 1/10

2. Gokusen 2: Review! [Rating: 9/10]
Alrighty, I never saw Gokusen. The original/first drama.
Even if I did, I would never compare dramas. I know it's hard nowadays to create an original plot. Even I have trouble myself when I find myself trying to write fanfictions or just a story for my friends to enjoy reading.

I really like how the drama is really touching. I'm a sucker for emotional stuff, so bite me if you must. Despite the fact that yes, the fighting looks really fake, but you have to admit something about it. At least they tried to imitate it. I know if I was the actress, I would have messed up so badly, so you got to give them credit for trying that kind of stunt even if it looked fake.

And yes, I'm a sucker for dramas with some of my favorite actors or singers. I watched Dragon Zakura first out of everything that had to do with the same plot. Alright, lots of similiarities, but that does not matter to me. I watched dozens of dramas and read a lot of stories regarding this kind of plots. Gokusen 2 is really enjoyable if you watched it as the first time you've ever heard about this plot. I like how they show that women can be fighters, too, so don't misjudge her for a pretty girl <3

Overall, I have not watched the whole drama, but I still continue to finish watching this drama. It's just so tear-jerking to me. And Kame...he keeps getting beat up, but it's enjoyable to see that they don't live in this fantasy land with everything being all innocent and good. That's just not how reality is, and I like how they show different aspects of people that seemed to be bad.

I reccommend this series to those that would never compare it to another drama. It's really good if you just ignore facts that it is similar. So what? If you ignore those facts, you'll see it's really a good drama if you're into the emotional stuff.

3. LoVe it.. [Rating: 10/10]
Im just new at watching jdorama's. Since i have never been to japan i only hear about these great jdoramas when the local TV station decides to air one on Television. I have only watched a few jdoramas including GoKuSen.

Gokusen 1 was great. i loved the cast and the comedy. I loved all of their lead casts but like most girls.. my favorite was shin sawada played by the talented Matsumoto Jun. frankly, it was the first time i met Jun but with the help of the internet i got to know him a little. it was also where i discovered this site (jdorama.com).

After Gokusen 1 i was really excited when i found our that it had a sequel.. Gokusen 2.

Gokusen 2 was outstanding. it was funnier, had more action and thrill. I fell inlove with the casts even more. i also had fun watching Yankumi's old student Kuma become a progressing Ramen cook. i loved the cast in gokusen 2 as much as i liked in the first season. The characters Takeda keita, Yabuki Hayato,Odagiri Ryu, Tsuchiya Hikaru and Hyuga Kosuke were a completely fun group. I thought that Odagiri played by Kamenashi kazuya was like the anime genjo sanzo combined with Cho Hakkai and that Tsuchiya was fascinatingly similar to Sanosuke Sagara of Rouruni Kenshin which are all my favorite anime charaters.

i also loved the actors that played the lead characters. Just like Matsumoto jun, i didnt know whot the actors were so with the help of the internet again i met the great kamenashi kazuya, Nakama Yukie, Akanishi jin and the other gokusen actors.

Gokusen 2 was fun and great i was really disappointed though because there were only 10 episodes.. but it was all worth watching...

4. Gokusen 2 is actually better [Rating: 9/10]
I watched Gokusen 1 and before watching Gokusen 2, I was skeptical about how good Gokusen 2 will be especially when I read here that the first version is better. However, I beg to differ. Gokusen 2 is better!

Firstly, there is not much fighting scenes (i.e. fewer scenes of Yamaguchi appearing to save her students in fights, which the first version has that in almost every episodes) which sometimes can bore me *reminds me of Clark Kent stripping his clothes to reveal Superman with that "here comes Superman" type of song always playing at that instant). In Gokusen 2, I felt it shows that besides fighting, there are other means to resolve/put the point across (communication is the key point). I actually worry that there will be more rescuing fighting scenes in Gokusen 2 but phew, more words of wisdom is used instead.... Secondly, Goukusen 2 students are more obedient and understand faster/better whatever Yamaguchi teaches them. I feel that Yamaguchi is a facilitator, facilitating the students to think and decide for themselves..... and, the bond between the students & teachers develop faster...... The leader that everyone says cannot be compared to Sawada, well, I prefer Hayato, as he is more approachable, open, cranky and not just cool, serious and silent (hey this is more like a charismatic leader)...... Lastly, this show though it may not be as funny, it touches my heart. I would recommend people not to miss this show.

6. ANOTHER GOOD DRAMA [Rating: 9/10]
I like Gokusen 2, the plot is same with gokusen 1 how yankumi tried to help his lousy students by finding their good points from themself and Kuma (yankumi's student from gokusen) also appeared. However the story is a little different from gokusen 1 (sawatari the head teacher became better than gokusen, yankumi collegues also nicer) still i also can feel the bond between friends here is stronger. The students also quite different but it's ok I like it. Yankumi's always couldn't get a partner because the teacher that she liked went to other town. Never mind.

I also like cool face from kamenashi kazuya (thank goodness he didn't in love with yankumi like Shin did) to be honest I don't like that part from gokusen 1 and from what I heard also the anime (won't see the anime) that Shin ended up with yankumi (don't agree with that).

Nice soundtrack (kizuna and no more cry).

If you like gokusen (the 1st one) then you have to watch the sequel too even though may be it's not as funny as gokusen.

7. Gokusen 2 (does lightning strike twice?) [Rating: 9/10]
well to start off...i really liked the ending theme to this season =D (which is a good thing since music is a big factor usually in whether i like something or not)

well since i had already been hooked by the first season, watching the second season was a no brainer. i attempted to be fair and not compare it to the first one, but i found out that such a thing was not necessary, this season was just as well acted as the first. returning is that ever loveable yukie nakama, the cutesy yet yakzuka-esaue teacher, and saru er.....sawatari sensei, once again a head teacher to clash, with a chairman not so nice as the previous season's. it has the same feel good that the previous season, as she now has a brand new class (3-D again...D for delinquent....) to win over with her fiery passion. once again, she has her difficulties, the ending could have been a little different (seemed too similar to previous season's), but it was just as enjoyable for me as the last one. (funny ending as well)

8. An absolute abomination. [Rating: 1/10]
I would give this a ZERO but I can't because 1 is the lowest.

This just seems like a poor imitation of the original, instead of being a sequel. The first one had a better theme song, storylines, and more memorable characters. You actually got to know more of the students than in here. They also had better chemistry with her in Gokusen 1 than in Gokusen 2. In here, it just seems so forced.

If there's a weak script, hire as many good-looking guys as possible to attract an audience. Why focus on the acting or the mediocre and repetitive script when you have eye candy?

Sawada Shin will always be the leader of 3-D. He was a complex and mysterious character, unlike the leader in Gokusen 2. The students in Gokusen 1 were more endearing and likeable.

If you really liked Gokusen 1, don't waste your time with Gokusen 2. You'll be disappointing .

Those who are rating it 10 are fangirls who only like Gokusen 2 for Kame and Jin.

9. Amusing, and Compelling... [Rating: 8/10]
I haven't seen the first Gokusen, so I can't quite compare the two, but this drama was a joy to read, although a few things made it fall from being consider a great drama.
There were, just a bit, too many scenes that Yankumi has to save hers students, and the ending wasn't as compelling as when Yankumi makes her speeches...
The actors were great, and I never knew about the KAT-TUN members until I watched this, Akanishi played a great, energetic character, and Kamenashi played his role with elegance...the cool, misunderstood boy that's brought out to the light by Yankumi...
D-51 are great singers, but not sure if the song matches with this drama...Kamenashi did good singing his own solo though...
Over all, Gokusen 2 is a great drama to get some laughs out at, and learn a thing or two about not taking advantage of terrible times and taking things for granted that can only pull you down...

10. A Surprisingly Decent Sequel that Lives Up to the [Rating: 8/10]
"Gokusen 2" was a good sequel to its predecessor, however it pretty much stands alone from the first since you can watch the second without having seen the first. The structure of the plot is similar to the first and towards the end seemed rather monotonous and boring.

Besides that the acting was great and Nakama Yukie once again does a wonderful job portraying the energetic and powerful, Yamaguchi Kumiko. The main problem with the story was that it was just a copy of the previous one and the lack of mention of Yankumi's previous students was one of the small drawbacks. Also the fact that the story didn't pay much attention to the teachers of the school, but used them as comedic relief.

All in all, the people who have enjoyed "Gokusen" are sure to enjoy this one also. It's a fun and light-hearted series to watch at anytime.

11. It's ok [Rating: 7/10]
I thought some parts went on for too long and were really boring, all the fighting, it seems to be the same. The fighting and acting were all really good except the time that Yankumi takes to get to the students and actually do something was dragged on for so long, it sort of made me angry at her slowness.

The cast is great though! And i love the all funny scenes in this. I'm up to Ep 7 so far, it might get better. Kame and Jin at the beginning of this was excellent! Really great acting and Hayami and his fan is so kawaii :D

I'm not going to compare this to the first one because i love the first gokusen, it's the best. But on its own, gokusen 2 is an ok drama, I was able to laugh at some of the scenes and Jin and Kame and Hayami made this drama easy to watch :D

Decided to watch this drama because of the conflicting reviews people were giving and see for myself just how good or bad it is. Have only watched the first episode and am halfway thru the second and so far - it's not too bad. Obviously, being a "sequel", there's bound to be comparison with the first Gokusen, but I don't think it's quite fair to put this drama down just because it doesn't live up to your expectation of being "just like the first one - only more". This drama deserves to be reviewed on it's own, so stop sulking over the fact that Jin or Kame isn't the next Sawada Shin, and take notice of just how well they are playing their own characters. Remember, this is Gokusen 2, albeit a few familiar faces, this has nothing to do with Gokusen 1.

Wish such a teacher really exsisted.. although I'm not all Fuyrou ppoi...hahaha But it's a must watch.. The ratings of this show says it all.....^^This was a great drama... It had the highest rating ever in NTV history. even higher than Gokusen 1.. But I thought it was a bit choppy and short....

Ok.. I'll admit.. I never saw the first one.. And the reason I would ever have watched this in the first place is because of Jin...but after watching the first few episodes I started to like it.. Nakama Yukie san is such a great actreess.. All the 5 main boys were well choosen... And I guess the fans were right..

I am a fan of Gokusen 1 and all of it's casts. I'm also a big fan of Nakama Yukie. But this time, I feel pitty for her. This drama is supposed to be called an imitation rather than a sequel. The plot's excatly the same, no improvement, the chemistry between the boys and Yankumi seems so fake, and the characters just couldn't develop.
It seemed to be focusing to the 2 main boys too much that the other three look more like accessories rather than characters. I almost died of laughter when I watched Gokusen 1, but couldn't even force a smile when I watched this.
If you're a Gokusen 1 fan I'd suggest you not to watch this. I regretted that I even spared some time to watch this.

I really liked this show and even though it's practically almost the same as Gokusen 1 it also has its own character and storyline. You can't compare drama's with each other, because that way almost all the drama's are the same...
Off course Akanishi and Kamenashi can't replace Matsumoto and Oguri, but I still think they do a wonderful portraying their characters and that reason enough for me to watch it. Sure the fighting scenes were absolutely fake looking, but can you tell me a show where it actually looks like they're fighting for real? I don't really think so...

Anyway I really enjoyed all the episodes and the actors so I would recomment this drama.

Rated 9.5
This skyrocked rating drama of the season has some similarities with Gokusen 1, but it's still interesting and very entertaining. The combination of the 5 main characters.. I dont' think it's as good as Gokusen 1.. Hiyato seems to be closer to Ryu.. and the other 3 tagging along... whereas Gokusen 1 the 5 main characters seem to have greater chemistry. Story wise.. though it has some similarities to 1, but not entirely. For this type of drama there are only so many ways to make the story go so... The role of Hiyato was well done.
I like both Gokusen 1 and Gokusen 2 hopefully there will be a Gokusen 3.
EDIT: THERE WILL BE A GOKUSEN 3 AFTERALL.

Ok Yukie is an excellent actress, however I don't like this show: Too formulaic, all boy school, two guys or gangs allways with the same hair and clothes face off in every episode.. EVERY episode. I gave each episode of Gokusen 1 a chance hoping that there might be something new or exciting, (new hairstyle or clothes in the actors maybe? not even) never happened. Now watched 2 episodes of the second season, STILL nothing new happens. I don't get the high ratings, but yeah Yukie is cool, which is why I gave it a '1' I'd like to see more of her.. in something else.. watch any season of Trick instead..

I watched this drama with low expectations (after all that I had heard from people that the sequel wasn't really worth watching) but it still captivated me, somewhat. Maybe I just like cheesy storylines. But either way, although the storyline was similar at times to the original Gokusen and although the story is, as a whole, very predictable, I really liked Jin's and Kame's performances. They were great! Nakama Yukie was amazing as Yankumi, as usual. :) And though I wish Sawada could have come back and made a camio, I was really happy Kuma was there ^^

I can't really compare it to the first season because I never completed the entire thing, but it seemed very similar. My liking for this drama is probably influenced by my love for Akanishi Jin and Kamenashi Kazuya. I knew that they could sing and dance, but until this drama, I didn't know that they could act. (actually even Gokusen 1 isnt that entertaining as rated). Its always she likes a guy, another guy likes her. Her fellow teacher likes tetsu....and the class somehow are all black belts. Moreover, every episode is like the replica of each other. Its always... talking, fighting, she stops the fight (by fighting) and moral of the story... oh well. GTO is way better.

The fighting scenes are all so fake, anyone can tell that Nakama Yukie is not a fighter and the 'fights' that she puts up are pure acting, it's even worse than the fake fights I see on WWF. I don't understand how she can win the award for Best Actor for this season, it doesn't take a genius to pretend to fight the way she did.

The only saving grace for this dorama are the young kakoii actors, looks like they have a pretty good acting career ahead of them.

Regarding the plot, it is exactly the same as the first one. I like the fact that they brought Kuma again and present his lifestyle after high school. Yankumi teach a new class (3D again), really evil with Yabuki Hayato (Akanishi Jin) as the class leader that when that time has a really bad relationship with his best friend, Odagiri Ryu (Kamenashi Kazuya).
It leads Yankumi to "fix" 3D students and in the process, I learnt many things like family bonds, friends, love story, pride & pure heart, strong heart, etc.

As a 2nd series, not too badly done. The Yankumi and Sawatori scenes were hilarious and Kame and Jin led the cast reasonably well although I felt Matsujun and Oguri Shun in the first series had slightly stronger cast interactions. As far as plotlines go, it's more of the same student-gets-in-trouble, Yankumi-beats-up-bad-guys type of thing. They should definitely not do a Gokusen 3 tho, Yankumi can only beat up so many bad guys so many times.

I've watched Gokusen I before watching this Gokusen II, so I kind of knew that Gokusen II would be almost the same..

And it was. The story is that Yamaguchi-sensei once again takes in charge to teach on a high school, to class 3-D - the troublemakers. And then Yamaguchi-sensei starts to rescue the students everytime they get in trouble one by one, each episode.

It's true that I didn't really found a real plot on this one.. It was just dragging each episode by the student's problems and then the sensei coming to their rescue and all..
Even though that, I liked this second Gokusen version anyway. It was humoristic, really funny.. Everytime the Head Teacher and Yamaguchi-sensei were together talking, I smiled and sometimes even laughed. They are really funny - with that bunny-sound and robot-sound too whenever they spoke to each other.
And also, it was very cute when Yabuki Hayato (Akanishi Jin) always said "... kudapai!" instead of "kudasai", and his peace-waves.

Regarding the actings, everyone were doing their characters really great. With good expressions and emotionals.. It's amazing how young actors like them can act so great. Yabuki, Odagiri, Tsucchi, Takeda.. The lead-students. They were really wonderful actors.
It's true that I wasn't really looking forward to watch this series so much in the beginning.. And I kind of forced myself on the first episodes.. But the thing that I liked the most were those happy moments in the end of every episode, and I was especially looking forward for the last episode's ending. Not because I wanted it to end, but because I knew that the end would be really emotional and make you think "Yosha!".
I actually dropped a few tears when watching the end. It made me happy and I felt like the students who were graduating were my children.

Finally, the themesongs, "No More Cry" by D-51 and Kamenashi Kazuya's "Kizuna", was a good choice. They lived up to the series.

So.. It's worth watching this dorama even if you got tired after Gokusen I. I, myself, liked this. If it wasn't for the dragging plot, I would have given this second version of Gokusen a 10 out of 10.

I'm kinda sad to say that this drama was a bit disappointing. I was expecting a lot since it had Kamenashi Kazuya and Akanishi Jin in it and was the second season of one of my all-time favorite shows, but.......I found that it was a complete copy of the first season. Even the characters I noticed were exactly like their season 1 counterparts (eg Ucchi from the first season and Tsucchi in the second, both tall, rash guys always looking for a fight; and the one that bugged me a lot was Okuma, who was a carbon copy of Kuma from season 1 except WAY less funny). Also I didnt like how they only retained Kuma and her family from season 1. I was really hoping for a continuation of Yankumi and Sawada, but I guess it never was meant to be.

Other than that the drama was pretty funny, though nowhere near as funny as the first one. I do have to say though that the students are a lot better looking this time around (with the exception of Okuma).

I read that this had the exact same plot as the first one, but i was shocked when i discovered that "it was really" the exact same plot, even the side stories were the same. And once again i hated the Yankumi character, 9 out of 10 episodes she saved her students from beatings with the same line:
Thug: Who are you?
Yankumi: Me? ILm their homeroom teacher!
I still gave 6 to this because i loved the first 30 minutes of every episode(ended with the Kizuna song) and hated the last 15(started with the Yankumi theme song).
I really prefered this class instead of the first one, Akanishi Jin played the most cool Gokusen character from both shows, Kame and Hayami Mokomichi were good too, Koide Keisuke and Koike Teppei donLt look like bad ass yankees at all lolol.
It has tons of flaws but i love stories about deliquents so i was entertained by this.

I saw Gokusen long time ago, and once I finished it I started watching Gokusen 2. I just thought it was a bad imitation of the first season so I stopped watching it. A few years later I gave season 2 a try, and I'm glad I did so. It was a refreshing and funny drama and it was nice to see Yankumi again with a new bunch of guys. I laughed and, OK, fights are not the best thing, but hey, is not all the cast over reacting all the time? So fights are not realistic too. I think the show keeps some kind of 'this is not real, this is surrealistic' atmosphere that will make you laugh. If you're looking for a believable plot, cast and production, then you won't like it (and it's a 5). But if you only want to have a good time and you don't want to philosophize about it, then this drama is perfect for you! (and it's a 9).

A good sequel to its predecessor, but sadly it fails to outshine the first due to lack of certain characters (ie. Sawada Shin, Uchiyama Haruhiko, etc), lack of character development in the teachers, and rehash of the same plot type. In fact, the episodes began to be a bit repetitive with Yankumi going into a situation and saving her students while beating some other person. Also, I didn't like the fact that what had happened in the last season seemed to be wholly ignored other than the fact that Kuma was her student once. The teachers in this season seemed to be one-dimensional and there only for comedic purposes. But Nakama Yukie still did a wonderful job portraying Yankumi and the main five kids did a good job also.

I loved it! After I watched Gokusen 1, I didn't think that I'd be interested in watching Gokusen 2 since it's pretty much the same scenarios. But after I started watching it, I couldn't stop! I definiately like this one better than the first. The script is just as good as the first, the situations are a bit different but most important of all, the cast is so much better! Jin and Kame made the drama so much more worth watching. Also, I found the students in the first one to be too unappreciative of the teacher and they were trying too hard to reject her. In this one, the transition from not trusting and rejecting her to accepting her was more smooth and not as tried.

I repeat: I am indeed a sucker for this sort of dramas...

This is Gokusen: Recycled. Truly. If not for the bunch of eyecandies, and my undying love for Nakama-san, I would not have watched this till the end. For goodness' sake; they even have a Kuma-clone stuck in there (an example of how un-original this drama is). If they wanted to make a second season, at least create a new bunch of characters. But NO! And Nakama-san's love interest is not nearly as pretty as Ikki-san!!

And the theme song is another typical pop song that is still nice to listen to. I'll overlook the awkward grammar.

I do like the guy with the fan, though. Hee.

Honestly I wasn't excited to watch this at first as I didn't think it could match up to the 1st series. In the end, I loved it as much and maybe even more. But I won't compare them because it's pointless. Was easily drawn into this series by the end of the first episode, and was also introduced to the pretty boys Akanishi Jin & Kamenashi Kazuya. Teppei Koike was so adorable and Mocomichi is hit. I'm glad they realized that Sawada Shin is irreplaceable and came up with the super combo of Hayato&Ryu. However, I do feel that the teacher characters could be better developed, and Yankumi's new love interest is very lame. ^^;;;

This is one of my favorite dramas that has to do with this kind of plot. Seeing a woman struggling to show that teachers should never be stereotyped as lazy or disloyal when danger rolls along. I wish there were more people out there like Yankumi.

Okay, maybe I watched it at first because KAT-TUN's Kame and Jin were in it. I enjoyed watching the main actress, and usually, I'm not fans of ANY ACTRESSES. She's just woahed me. Despite a lot of the fakeness, I just love it. Emotional and tear-jerking...those are my favorite even if people tell me what a weak person I am. At least I have feelings, right?

It's yankumi again!! w00t!! Yes, yamaguchi-sensei is back to take care of the class of "3-D", but now it's in a different school. Actors from gokusen 1 are also playing here, like the head teacher sawatari, kumai teruo and the oedo main family members. Too bad this dorama is very much alike the first one, with each episode focusing on one of the five "baddest boys" of the 3-D towards their graduation day. The producer should've come up with a new idea instead of reproducing gokusen 1 in a slightly different way. Overall, it's still funny but less touching. It's your call to watch this one.

This installment merely rehashes ideas from the first one. Yankumi is once again in charge of a class of delinquents and she has to win their trust through a series of selfless actions, stirring speeches and fights. For whatever reason, I didn't find this group of students as likable or realistic as the first class. It also didn't contain as many goofy comedic scenes as the first. My other complaint is the two lead students are so good-looking it's hard to suspend disbelief. lol. Nonetheless, this serial still works as a solid stand-alone drama.

Surprisngly good but similar to the first. Rather than an 8, I give it an 8.5 due to the phenomenal cast. Nakama Yukie presents well, Kamenashi Kazuya is going to be a star in acting soon (calm and dramatic face expressions are well done). Regarding the plot, it is exactly the same as the first one. I like the fact that they brought Kuma again and present his lifestyle after high school. What would amaze you is that this drama had a TV rating of 27.83? Although it is a similar drama, it still produces and gives a laugh or two and a lesson too.

Not anywhere as good as Part I. Disappointing. Looks like a bunch of transvestites taking over a juvenile prison. And the fighting was even more fake than part I.
And did Yankumi have a memory lapse? What happened to her crush on that police officer? And the high school teacher is sooo unattractive... The jokes are even wackier this time - to the point where I didn't find it funny sometimes.
I think this is really for people who've not watched part I and Kat tun fans. I have the same feeling about this as watching Mukodono 2003.

I think this drama is alright. It has a nice cast and everything and I particuarly like the settings.
If you compare with Gokusen 1, i personally think Gokusen 1 is heaps beter. Maybe because I'm a huge fan of Matsu Jun's and Oguri Shun's acting skills and also the storyline in Gokusen 1 seems to be more interesting and entertaining to watch. I'm not saying Gokusen 2 is bad, I like it, but I think it can be better.
Also, I think Ryu and Hayato hand around together everywhere they go in the drama. It kind of annoys me.

This is one of my favorite shows ever.. Yankumi comes back and teaches 3-D kids from another school how important their lives are and how you can be successful if you stick to your goal of graduating. The students learned that Yankumi was a big influence in their school life and without her they wouldn't have gone far in high school and are greatly glad that she came along to help them before they gave up on school. She also teaches them that you dont need to fight someone in order to gain respect from people around you

I liked this one basely because of Kame. It was the first time I watch a drama with him in, but I actually liked him right away.... so kakkoi. Much the same as the first one, though I think that Odagiri and Sawada were very alike, almost like Odagiri's character was another Shin, not interested in girls (maybe only in Yankumi), cool, smart... and the story about Odagiri's father... wasn't that Shin's story in the manga??? Anyway, if it weren't because of Kame I don't think I'd give this one this high ratings at all....
17. Comments by poopiefish [Rating: 5/10]
The 1st season was better... maybe because this one kinda just repeats what happened in the first one. But it's still a pretty enjoyable drama...
Gokusen tries to give us some moral lessons, but to be honest I don't think it was executed well, nor did I feel that I gained anything from this series. It was pretty cheesy... not to mention quite predictable as the plot follows the same pattern in every episode.
I skipped through a lot of it though, till the point that I'd say that I "skimmed" through the drama.

a dissapointment, im sad to say. when i had finished Gokusen i was sad, but then i thought: "Oh yeah! i have Gokusen 2 to watch too! Jippie!". and it started out well, but then after episode 2 or so i just felt that it was a ripoff of Gokusen. and i think that that's really sad since they had the oppurtunity to make a really good show. And it wasn't bad, ppl that haven't seen Gokusen might enjoy this but for us that have seen Gokusen it'll be like seeing Gokusen all over again, but not as good as the real thing.
19. Comments by Nermal [Rating: 7/10]
Deja-vu.. except this time they liked Yankumi after the 3rd episode already. The only upside I noticed is that this time it had to deal with more personnal issues than the first series... but Sawada Shin will always remain 3-D gumi's leader.

Salute to Kum's appearance and to Nakama Yukie for her once again nice performance. Namase Katsuhisa was as hilarious as ever as the infamous Kyoto sensei... and I have to admit.. the ending was fitting!

But... long live Noda, Sawada, Kuma, Uchi and Minami

The teacher is still a Mary Sue, but Gokusen 2 delivers MUCH better than the first. The characters are lovable dork, and I actually grow to admire Yankumi in the end. I'm glad to have at least watched the second though I did not like the first. You don't miss much, since the story stands alone and thus far seems to be a copy of the first.

Akanishi Jin and Kamenashi Kazuya are just too....HOT. Teppei is also TOO CUTE! A good drama must have hot guys. We know this, and this one certainly does.

To some people, continuity is a key feature for a sequel drama. However, the idea of the first series was not very strong and the predictablity and patheticness of the story-line really means that this drama is not even worth thinking about. I watched the first 6 episodes and had had ENOUGH at that point. As far as Nakama Yukie's acting is concerned..... well the character she plays is so badly written that I'm sure even the most cunning of Shakespearean actors could not have pulled it off.

It's definitely not as good as the first one, but I still like it.
I like the new characters a lot, but overall I don't think this one really flows as well as the first one. It was just missing something. It feels like it was just made for the sake of making a sequel, and doesn't really have anything new to offer. It's very predictable, but I thought it was still fun to watch (afterall, it's still Gokusen). It might be more entertaining if you watch it before the seeing the first season.

Just like the first one.. with different students....

For those who liked the first one.... this one is good enough (well... i must say that imo the first one is waaaaay better than Gokusen 2) Dunno y but while i was watching i couldn't help thinking that the first one had a better cast... better stories....

If one miss Gokusen and Yankumi one will problably fell happy while watching Gokusen 2... still... one will problably miss the other actors.... (specially Itoh and Nakazawa...)

The highest rating drama of the season!
Have some similarities with Gokusen 1, but it's still interesting and very entertaining. The combination of the 5 main characters.. I dont' think it's as good as Gokusen 1.. Hiyato seems to be closer to Ryu.. and the other 3 tagging along... whereas Gokusen 1 the 5 main characters have better chemistry. Story wise.. though it has some similarities to 1, but not entirely. The role of Hiyato was really well done, and the soundtrack is excellent.
25. Comments by Susan [Rating: 8/10]
Certainly not as good as Gokusen 1, without Matsumoto Jun as Sawada Shin. But still an awesome series! I felt it to be very formulaic, though. I wish that YanKumi's love life could have advanced. The only character I was truly impressed with was Kuma, who carried over from season 1. In fact, the best episode of Gokusen 2, and Gokusen in general, was Kuma's episode in which he nearly loses his shop. That was definetly my favorite episode! Overall a good series, although a bit boring.
26. Comments by Mimori [Rating: 6/10]
Watched the 1st season and I definitely shouldn't have watched the 2nd season, it's exactly the same, just change the plot a little here and there and that's it.
Problem arises and off goes Yankumi to the rescue, speech, fight and another student believes in Yankumi, next day the same and so on and on.....
While I like the new delinquent students, I prefer the old ones. Specially Sawada, he is the only leader of 3D.
Anyway, not as good as the 1st but not that horrible either.

LOL... but yea its great oh yea and keppei too hehe... he is sooo cute... storyline was lol pretty much the same as the first one w/ different characters and slightly different stuff... in other words its worth watching i loved it

Admittedly the cast, especially the older one, is worse than the prequel, but the head teacher is still here. And once again he proves that he is a brilliant actor with his orginal facial expressions and acting. Might be worth seeing for that only. Otherwise the biggest difference is that this is a sequel, and it follows pretty much the same concept as in Gokusen. Therefore it loses in freshness and originality, but if you liked Gokusen, chances are you will like Gokusen 2 too.
29. Comments by sirhin [Rating: 8/10]
This was basically another sequel with an idol-studded cast. :) There were things that followed from the prequel such as the pattern that seems to take place in every episode. The parts where Yankumi's old student came in were nice and I particularly liked the ending. It was original in its own way, though, and I still found myself captivated by it and rushing home from school just to continue watching it. :) Not to mention the fact that Kamenashi and Akanishi are both in it.

This, I really enjoyed. Nakama Yukie is always a great actress with good comedic timing. She has great chemistry with the lot of actors who played her rebellious troubled students. Gokusen II can be quite manga-ish and dramatic, but it's alot of fun and makes me watch this all in one sitting. Never knew KAT-TUN before watching this, but now I do thanks to Kamenashi Kazuya's great turn as the cool, elegant but troubled Odagiri Ryu. Very entertaining and well worth my time!

I like how Odagiri lied to Yankumi and how he and the rest of 3d made her cry....Kame....thumbs up...

And the ever senti ep 9....i like the onegai...thinggy.... the lines verses and OR's delivery of lines captivates me....i feel like i wanna be Yankumi's student!

3. Nanaki
My favorite Gokusen :) I like all of them, but I think this and the 3rd one were funnier than the first one (though there is a few things that I like less about Gokusen 2 and 3), plus I love the characters - especially Take (Koike Teppei), he's my all time Gokusen favorite! :)
4. nino_naru
I really like Gokusen 2. Nakama Yukie is really good as usual as well as Katsuhisa-san. Besides, this is where I can found many pretty boys ^ ^ such as Moco, AkaJin, Kame, Teppei, Ishiguro Hideo, and Nakamura Yuuichi!!! A real heaven for girls!!
5. lastsamurai
I watched Gokusen 1 so I wouldn't miss Gokusen 2 especially when there's Akanishi Jin and Kamenashi Kazuya. Honestly, the storyline is too similar to Gokusen 1 and I was kinda disappointed. But still, Nakama Yukie and the cast did a great job.
6. yana_preciousone
school life is really wonderful...
for not being among the "intelligent" one is not wat is important...
wat is important is...we are the one who will create our future...
gokusen 2 is really fun
luv all of them...friendship is wonderful
7. syud
suprisingly, i love this drama! i'm very sceptical to watch a sequel for a drama.. Gokusen 2 is hillarious+touching at the same time.. congrats Kame and Jin for the way they act.. the cast is just like the first one, which is SUPERB!!
8. -Takashi-
This dorama is really good. It was Gokusen so you knew it would be good. Ive only seen 4 episodes so far, but they are all so good. It combines action and respect and so much more...and it has Yukie Nakama again haha. Good dorama.
9. ParaParaJMo
Well, the fact that she had to keep her yakuza identity a secret until the end of the first season is what made the series really enjoyable and at the edge of your seat. I don't get why her yakuza status is still a big deal.
10. Fight-oh
A similar story to Gokusen but much better... It has the same beautiful and loving teacher Yankumi and different reckless 3-D kids who think they can do anything until she teaches them whats best.. I luv this show!!!
11. beryl_28
I haven't watched gokusen 1 before, so i can't really judge which is better. But i think the cast for gokusen 2 is lively, action-packed and enjoyable! They have onscreen chemistry and are all a very talented lot!

Well, it's a good dorama. People said that 1st Gokusen was better but I think that Gokusen 2 is great (maybe because Kame & Jn) ^^...
Sometimes it made me laugh, but sometimes it made me want to cry.. ^^
15. Mylani
More eyecandy xD Even though it's not the same without Sawada Shin, the writers did a good job creating an entirely new class with a whole new set of problems for Yankumi to tackle ^^ Very entertaining ^^
16. Helena
e leading actress, really love her acting, so kawai n so funny, love her facial expression, good story, good casting, but compare 2 GTO, i hav 2 admit i prefer GTO better, but overall, i'll give it 7.5/10
17. teru_teru_bouzu
hmm... never saw the first one... watched it because of Akame.... But it's quite good.... only watched three episodes... but it's really good... I already cried twice (then again i cry at anything) ^^;
18. Ochibi
Gokusen 2 was an amusing, touching and very entertaining drama. It's a bit dramatic, and every episode has the similar theme of 'Yankumi saving her students', but altogether it was still very enjoyable.
19. sugar_pain
I love this drama! It's so funny, and it's a good story! haven't watched the first one, thought. I wanted to watch this first 'cause Jin, Kame and Teppei is in it!! Teppei is so great in Lovely Complex!

I haven't watch gokusen 1 but Gokusen 2 was very well done! The class is full of fun and laughter, not forgetting touching class bonding scenes. The cast are really attractive too Kame and Jin!!

Nakama Yukie showed again her talent! I liked Gokusen2 more than the first one..maybe especially because of the new actors! Kame, Jin and Teppei are belonging to my favourite entertainers ^^

i like this season than the pilot season of gokusen. even though the students (or the characters who portray the role) is a bit more violent from their looks, they're so cute! & kawaii<>
