1. Ridiculous [Rating: 3/10]
I watched eight episodes and gave up on this series so my views come from just those episodes and not the series as a whole (personally, I wanted to stop watching after episode one, but I kept hoping it would "get better" because the premise is interesting enough. Unfortunately, this series did not come through for me.) One reason why I think Yaoh failed was because of its actors/actresses. The ones who play the main characters cannot act. period. And the second reason, is the overly corny script. Even the serious moments became laugh-out-loud moments because it was dripping with drama and the lines were just eye roll inducing. An example? Matsuoka Masahiro's character (Ryousuke) asking Kaname Jun's character if he could "make every woman in the world happy"...and Kaname Jun's character replying...with a STRAIGHT face "yes, you can". This basically becomes his slogan, he mentions it at least twice in each episode. And that overly emotional relationship with Remi-san was just pointless. Good actors can convince the viewer that he IS what he is acting to be. And from the eight episodes, Matsuoka did not convince me at all. The music did nothing to save the series either. Similar to the script and the acting, it is often over-the-top without meaning. Especially the music playing in the background while the "Number 1 Host" of the Romeo Club was talking was too much. It made him look comical rather than the "sophisticated, cool" character that I'm (guessing) he was supposed to be.

2. TOKIO Man, It's a Surprising Look... [Rating: 6/10]
I liked this drama. It has some bad parts in it but it was a pretty good drama. I've never seen this TOKIO member act before, and he does a good job. Though a lot of Johnnys that I have seen, do good jobs, they should stick to acting.
I recommend this drama for a bit of laughs, and a lot of cute guys. It has the dark side of the Host life, but nothing too intense or confusing, it's a keeper for me. Plues, Kaname Jun is so cute in this, there's no mistaking his charm in this one to some extent.

3. ok [Rating: ?/10]
The main character is an inexperienced gigolo who vows to become the person controlling(or dominating?) the night life of a particular red light district. Very interesting idea....BUT a bit difficult to swallow. Of course, this is just my personal opinion, I will give the second episode a try before completely give up.

4. Not bad... [Rating: 7/10]
It's not bad, it's not that great either. I did manage to get through the whole series though. I guess it's what I'd expect about a drama about japanese male hosts.... matsuoka does a great job. It's a predictable, but still pretty fun to watch drama.

5. Worth watching [Rating: 7/10]
I watched the SP first and liked it so much. Even though the drama seems to be a little bit slow, it is still worth watching. Furthermore, the theme song is pretty cool.. Travelling Man..

6. Hosts are the most [Rating: 6/10]
An often silly story line.
A #1 host who always is in the lamest suits.
And yet I managed to watch almost all of it.
Can quite figure that out.

7. Guys fare [Rating: 7/10]
Lift-off took a few eps. The main characters are mosty unappealing, but this show offers an interesting look at the world of male club hosts.

A drama revolving around a particular host club in Tokyo. The main character, Ryosuke, played by Matsuoka Masahiro is an ex-gangster who is introduced by a rich woman into becoming a host for the most popular host club in the district. He has two close friends played by Kaname Jun and Ishigaki Yuma who like him are not the top hosts. Ryosuke aspires be the number one host in Tokyo and by doing that, he would "rule the night".

Throughout the episode he encounters plenty of difficulties - bantering from the other male hosts who think of him as an eyesore, the burden of trying to beat the number one host in the club - played by Kitamura Kazuki, getting enough females to sponsor him or ask for him, etc etc. Overall, it's a pretty interesting series since it's a twist from the usual hostess thing. The only problem is that I don't think the main character Ryosuke is that great looking, but I guess it's the personality that counts more. Hehe. Probably the most entertaining thing about this series is seeing how easily women fall into their hands. =(

The special element about this drama is that you get to peer into the lives of hosts and the nightlife occuring in Japan, in which many of us are not familiar with. The story is actually pretty much ok, it has its ups and downs, getting pretty slow near the middle but picking up pace at the end. Music was rather good too, opening theme was catchy. I would say that the hosts look a bit scary but then as long as the rich, posh ladies are attracted, I guess we just have to assume they have some hidden charm.

Like other dorama of the same theme, this involves competition within the shop. But things are quite slow especially in the middle of the serie. The only thing stand out is that even in the 'host' business, the writer can come up with a "mission" that is, to make every woman in this world happy. As usual, it gets draggy in the middle and picks up in the last few eps. 5.5-wise.

I hate how this drama manages to turn a host club in something romantic... no they don't want your money, they just want to make you happy *headdesk* okay there are pretty boys (in the ugliest cloth ever and with unbelievably bad hair) but that's about it. not worth your time.

This just seems like a "watch if you're bored" type of drama. Nothing so far has really interested me, but I'll probably watch it till the end. Also disappointed by the "Romeo" hosts. With a name like that, they should've gotten better-looking actors.

I had much fun with this one. Even though my expectations weren't that high in the beginning this dorama really became better by the end. I really like the characters by now and think everyone did a nice job. Seiya and Hikaru ftw! XD

Great series with great people in it. I loved the chemistry between them, whether it was ryousuke with seiya or shuu-san. They all did a great job and Karina was so cute. =D

The theme song is good too, Mr.Travelling Man =)

It's me not the series - I have nothing against it (except for the ridiculous hairstyles and for that women who go to host clubs can't tell the difference between a service offered and love) but I can't get into it.

Turned out to be truly interesting starting about halfway in the drama. I wouldn`t say ti was great, but it was sure fun to watch every week when it aired. Very nice adaptation of the manga! ^^

It wasn't bad. I just hated how they kept repeating the scenes with all of them walking. too corny. the main guy walks funny too. it's kind of like the guy version of jotei.

Very funny but also very disappointing.
Unfortunately, this migh reflect the reality, meaning women can give a lot of money and believe every lie they hear. Sad...

The world of host. This dorama tried to portray a good side of host club, but host will be host. It's all about money.

Hosts trying to act like Yakuza are bound to be silly.
But somehow the series is still fun.
