I was looking for an Asian drama that would be about a teacher and student falling in love. Normally I watch Korean dramas so I was excited when I read the plot about this story. I found many dramas that would have been perfect to watch if only the older lover wasn't a female. I am not too keen about relationships where the woman is older. And it had become irritating watching series that are romantic comedies. I love the romantic part, but I wanted a serious tone. That is what this series has to offer.
If anyone know about another series where there's an older man (teacher or not) that falls in love with a younger woman who loves him back, please let me know! Doesn't matter what country it is from, even if it isn't even Asian, just as long as it is translated in English. I have seen a few and loved them.

A little about what I thought of the characters.
Doctor Tachibana Yuriko (Mano Azusa): I don't know if anyone else thought so or not, but I was just disgusted by the doctor. She was sick and twisted. She completely took advantage of her patient's illness. Honestly from the beginning I got a weird feeling about her and thought she had a major thing for him. Then they show a scene where they are having sexual intercourse and I almost vomited.
Machida Hina (Ueto Aya): She's adorable! I didn't like the parts where she was immature and seemed a bit obsessive, but she ended up maturing. I would have been angry too if I found out I was lied to and in fact wasn't dying. But I also would have been jumping for joy (for myself) and sad at the same time because my lover didn't have much time left.
Koga Ikumi (Fujiki Naohito): This guy was gorgeous! Lol aside from that...I felt so bad for him near the end. He became happy and then torn. Then again you reap what you sow. His whole world came crashing down after Machida told him she didn't want to be with him anymore. Then he became even more dependant on that vile doctor. I imagined he lived in the end.
Kudo Beniko (Sonim): Seemingly the cool, rebellious girl in the beginning, she's truly a lonely girl on the inside. She was tricked by Kamiya. She even decided to degrade herself for him by doing prostitution. If it wasn't for Fujimura, she would have lost her virtue.
Fujimura Tomoki (Kyomoto Masaki): I was surpised to find out this actor was a rockstar. He had a more classy image in the series. Well, physically that is. In the drama he was basically a rapist who decided to make at least one right after (was it a decade?) a period of wrongs. I was rooting for him and Beniko, but he ended up dying because that lunatic Kamiya killed him.
Kamiya Yuji (Narimiya Hiroki): So this actor is supposed to famous? Egh his character was a straight out freak. He was, "pyscho of 2003". I wanted to punch him plenty a time. He is childish and demented.
Ezawa Mami (Aoi Yu): Irritant of a person, thinking she had the world in her hands. Then her world came tumbling down. She was the one who switched the fake blade with a real one that killed Fujimura. I do not like when people just write, the story not good, music not good and keep repeating the same thing. Without a reason why.
I personally liked this drama. Most people complained about the music, they used the original score for the first or "prequel" 1993 version of this series. She is a folk singer. I did not like or hate the music it's just old. They used it from her 1976 album. But they just used this one song for the entire series.
The story itself is slow paced and character driven.
I liked the connection between Hina and her sensei I felt it was a deeper love even though the sensei's doctor says it is dependence confused for love. But I think this series tries to define what love really is. Sensei is lonely and Hina is lonely is it two people being lonely and meeting and needing each other, is that need and dependence love?. Or do you fall in love first than that feeling of dependence grows from that?
SPOILERS BELOW:
This series poses a lot of questions and push a lot of boundaries. It has characters using others in mental and emotional games for their own pleasure. Using love as a tool for their own benefit. Such as the host "Yuji" using "Beniko" and playing with her love for him to get her to drop out of school and prostitute herself to give him money so he can be the number one host. And Fujimura playing the game with "Yuji" to repent for his sins because of the inability to love after his loss that made him do his own sinful experiments.
Every character had their own emotional problem, something they try to use other's to fix for them.
Like Sensei's doctor who had an ailing husband who spent his last dying months with his mistress. So the doctor Koga Sensei as a replacement for her husband to nurse him before his death to fill the emptiness of not being wanted by her husband. She wanted to feel needed.
Than Koga lying to Hina when she misunderstood and thought she was dying when it was Koga. He felt lonely without someone understanding how he felt he wanted to share his pain as he said "mirror reflection of himself". Going threw the same emotional pain he is. He needed someone to understand him. But as I watched their characters developed I felt it was genuine love. Their common interactions felt easy and comfortable. They didn't need a sexual relationship they had a strong emotional bond beyond anything physical.
My only complaint is they left the ending ambiguous for your own interpretation.

Ive just watching it today. I can only say this,, You wouldn't know the deepest feeling someone has. Only the person himself knew. But love never lie. You should never asking of regretting the love you once felt. Have faith , don't ever doubt it. Even Beniko still love that asshole *forgot his name* and still belive that oneday he would change *and he did change after all*. Real love is different... It's always shine so brightly that not even death could separate. I know this kinda silly, but i too sometimes wondering about that,, about love and death... i believe love wouldn't fade away no matter what happens, coz love is so wonderful. It's the sugar of life ^^.
For this dorama, Ill give 8/10.. several weaknesses come from aya ueto herself (i found her acting to be just mediocre), though i like fujiki's emotional struggle. Sometimes there are unlogical things, but anyway it's just film... One thing about the ending, i feel a bit strange about fujimura, his trouble are too complex for me,, that i feel he's not really normal at all. That made me confused from being sympathy or odd for him. And one more thing, although sounded silly, i wanted Hina to know the mathematical formula about meeting after life that koga once solved. This is an intriguing story; although the concept was centred around a teacher's love for a student and vise versa, for me it was the psychological aspect of the story that I became soon drawn too. Taken at face value as another "forbidden love"-type romance this will not satisfy you, as it is too dark in terms of its theme to allow you to enjoy it as that sort of drama. However, I think the unique twists that come about, although perhaps slightly incomprehendable, bring up strong questions about love as a virtue - is it based on need? Can it be overshadowed by guilt? Can those suffering a terrible past come to resolution? But perhaps one of the most interesting characters you'll see and the most brilliantly portrayed is Fujimura-sensei - a man with a terrible past, facing a life of guilt and covering his true persona with a "mask". I just finished watching and oh my! I would say this is the best J drama I have ever seen! The plot is fantastic, so many twists, not just a simple schoolgirl likes teacher stuff. I didn't expect it to be so good, I just wanted to watch Fujiki at first and gosh, his acting has improved so much, not just a pretty face.
he has a near fatal brain condition, a same one as the doctor's husband who had died. He is a poor sick guy who is struggling internally to face his illness, trying to achieve peace. oh my, i cried when i saw how hard he struggled to keep himself sane. And the cuts on his wrists, obviously he had tried to commit sucide several times.
He looked so cool on the outside but he is so miserable inside, til he met Uyeto Aya. Oh, and I am so touched by Uyeto too, she is so sweet! I love the scene with them in the theme park. wow. after watching this far, i'm still debating on who is the most dislikeable character in the show. right now it's a toss up between the host guy that let his friends rape his girlfriend and the main character (the titular "kou kou kyoushi"). actually, thinking more about it, i'd have to go with the teacher. i haven't seen a more spineless, deceitful, and insincere main character since that guy from S.O.S. but then i don't think he would even stoop to the level of convincing a normal girl that she is fatally ill and then using her emotional fragility to bang her. even humbert humbert from nabokov's lolita would be appalled. can this story be redeemed in the next 5 episodes? doubtful. why am i still watching? ueto aya is so damn cute and that story with the other teacher (captain save-a-hoe) and the student is actually interesting. in fairness, i'm actually being a little too harsh with the '1' rating. it should be closer to '2.' | | Reviewed by turbozed730 on 31 July 2004 | | 7. | SICK DRAMA o_O [Rating: 1/10]
seriously a drama so screwed, not even the fabulous fujiki naohito can save this one ;P bought this drama due to the rave reviews, now i spend time wondering where or who to stash this drama to rather than watching it.
nevertheless, this drama has achieved many first-timers in my vast collection of j-dramas though: -
1. first time every single character in the drama can be downright annoying
2. first time fujiki naohito can be less-than-charming
3. first time a doctor can be so disgustingly twisted into convincing her patient to be pessimistic
4. first time a teacher would lie to his student about her so-called death & be so nonchalant about it
5. first time a drama theme song can actually send eerie waves down my back (sounds like soundtrack for a freak horror movie)

This drama is really dark and although I enjoy dark-themed plots, this one failed to actually �gwork�h as a good story. The actual premise of the show is good: a man is dying and alone, and wants someone in the world to share in his pain. However, the premise cannot erase all the issues this drama has.
The sensei, who happens to be the main character, is too annoying to be a lead character. His very character turns me off. He�fs selfish and frustrating and it�fs really hard to sympathize with him. Even in the last few episodes, when the show FINALLY starts to get a little bit good, it�fs hard to feel anything for the sensei at all. He�fs so�c argh!
The only character in the entire show who was even a bit convincing is Beniko (played by Sonim). She was great and you actually felt for her. This is not my usual drama.. it's rather dark and sad most of the time...but the bitter-sweet taste last longer than most doramas I ever watched. As for Koga being cruel and lie to Hina, I can completely sympathize with him.. i mean just see the way that man is suffering every night, to the point that he almost break and lose his sanity!!! it's like the only thing he can depend on is Hina... Ok maybe the way he does it is not correct, but to face that fate and being the weak human that he is (and aren't all humans weak, really?)... I can understand why he does that.
Anyway, Fujiki acting is marvellous!! He sure has improved a lot since the sugary-sweet/ handsome guy roles he normally took...it's like I can actually feel his pain... The only scene I dun like is when he slept with the doctor despite starting to fall for Hina.. Barring the first episode, which didn't know what the hell it wanted to be (what was up with the cheap J-Horror segment towards the end!?), the series is uniformly excellent . Despite this, the writing is a mixed bag, though. On one hand there's the improbable plot (you learn to swallow it quickly), on the other the entire puerile rape/host/vengeful teacher story arc, and then you have a mature and methodical character study that does a great job of delving into isolation and the difference between dependence and actual love. I was touched in particular by how forgiving and resilient the character of Hina was; she's able to cope with things that would cripple any lesser soul. The ending is deliciously ambiguous, so much so that when I think about it, at times I find it uplifting, and at others utterly distressing. First time saw Ueto Aya was in "my little chef" as a supporting role, not much outstanding.
In this drama, which has all the traditional j-drama elements: impending death, forbidden love, sterotypedly "strong" Hina, "evil" force, etc., though cleverly synthesized, Ueto Aya's performance is surprisingly great. (Not so much running on the street scene, which is so typical of j-drama. they can even be sorted by miles run by the leading character on the screen :)
I am not so sure about the definition of "dark" drama. I think it still has some humor in it, where the scene at the amusement park, Aya climbed up the roller coaster to get the balloon and her teacher mistakenly though that she would commit suicide. Very funny :)

This drama was a lot different than any other drama I'd ever seen, it was pretty dark. But I loved it. I loved the interaction between Hina (Ueto) and Koga-sensei (Fujiki), they were fantastic in these roles. I liked the (weird!) plotline with Beniko (Sonim), Fujimura-sensei (Kyomoto), and Yuji (Narimiya) too. I think I should mention Narimiya played Yuji brilliantly. The plot was really unpredictable, it turned out to be so different than I had originally imagined.
I know that what Koga did was horrible, but he just wanted someone to understand what he was feeling. No one in the right state of mind would do that, and because of his fatal illness, he obviously wasn't. First, I find it very hard to believe that a doctor wouldn't tell the truth about such a serious decease as having a brain tumour, especially to a 17yo girl. Secondly, would anyone actually accept that he/she is going to die as easily as Hina did in this series? Not demanding a second opinion or anything? Third, the fact that the main character let Hina believe that she is sick is actually making him more evil than any of the bad guys (he must have a mental as well as a physical illness).

Many people gave this drama bad ratings mainly due to the fact that its messed up and twisted. If you don't like to watch messed up things, than don't watch it.
My overall experience watching this drama wasn't at all boring, it was worth it. My only concern is that it started of pretty slow and unconvincing, but, as the drama progresses, you do eventually become some what attached to some of the characters in this drama. Twisted in a lot of ways, sad in most cases, but thats something I don't mind watching at all.

I have yet to see a series in which I feel so much spite against almost every character, I want to give all of them ducj rubs till they realise that they are in fact, enormously annoying :) No one acts in a way a normal person would do! Hiding truths, ignoring obstinate teachers stupid behaviour , loving some host punk that don't deserve it and so on...
But anyways, it's kept me watching and I like series that gets me emotional and anger is as real an emotion as any I guess...

Okay let me explain. In the 'dark' type of stories.. this truly doesn't come up first. The whole teacher/student relationship is truly exagerated like someone else pointed out. No one in their right mind would accept their 'death' that easily without a second opinion. It toys a lot on human emotions.. just maybe not the right way. Based on the first five episodes, I must say I've never been so disgusted with almost every single character in the jdrama. With its somewhat twisted plot, it was definitely difficult to finish. Fortunately, the ending episodes redeems the show somewhat and to an extent, provides some justification for the characters' personalities. Aya Ueto is such an upbeat, spirited personality that she can't help but lift the mood of KOU KOU KYOUSHI - or at least that's the way it turns out. The complicated relationship between a high school student and math teacher with issues has a limp narrative and moments of angst.

The story is not so good, at first Aya kept saying the she's in love with Fujiki but then after she knew the truth she's getting hurt and ignored Fujiki. The doctor also in love with Fujiki, and the ending is unexplained. Aya's acting is not good, I prefer Kyoko Fukada to cast in this drama. well, for me ,this series of 2003 Kou Kou Kyoushi is as good as the 1993's! from the beginning to end ,i love all the roles in this drama so much! they did a good job! although this is a tragedy, and the endding is so sad, but in my opinion, it is the attractive point !

I'm very indecisive on how I should score this drama on a scale of enjoyment vs the plot.
On the scale of enjoyment: I would have to give this a 5. I had a tough time enjoying the beginning of the drama probably up until episode 7. Reason is because I felt so much tension and uneasiness while watching the events unfold so it was tough to enjoy. The times where I pretty much had a rough time watching was after the lies and how it kept accumulating. This is the type of drama where the viewers know what is going on and the characters don't makes very frustrating. I also began this drama with a bad impression due to the fact that it is forbidden love between the teacher and the student with the student being Aya Ueto. I have strict morals and didn't believe Aya would play such a scandalous role. Don't get me wrong though, it was definitely interesting which is why I continued to watch, but the fact that it was so serious, dark, and knowing the situation made it really difficult to enjoy.
On a scale of plot: I would give this a 10. The plot was really well developed, I felt that everything unfolded well and the plot twists were very subtle and caught me by surprise. The fact that it was so unpredictable won a lot of points. I found the concept of the teacher lying to the student and making her believe she will die when it is the teacher who is dying, very fascinating and interesting. The main focus of the story was between Hina and Koga (who are the student and teacher) which Aya Ueto played an excellent role and the chemistry between characters were very well expressed. The other story with Beniko, Yuji and Fujimura was less of an importance but it tied in with the main focus very well. The ending however was quite impressive as I wasn't feeling pissed as the characters, I was quite calm about how they decided to resolve everything. However, the ending did leave it to be quite ambiguous and up to the viewer's own beliefs.
In the end, I will score this a 7 due to the average of the two scales. This might be something that viewers with an interest for dark, unpredictable, and serious plots would enjoy. I on the other hand preferred a less serious drama with a more fun atmosphere, but Aya Ueto made it somewhat worth it. | | 2. | Comments by occultangle [Rating: 7/10]
A sequel ten years in the making. Things have changed since then, and in an attempt to catch up�Athey decided to make this about brain cancer, because that's what every drama in the last ten years was about. But in all fairness they did introduce a interesting plot device, by having the teacher lie to the student, and tell her that it was her who was dying.
Trying to judge this in and of itself isn't so easy , but comparing it to the original is, and I feel justified in doing so. The original made a name for itself pretty much entirely by throwing in every type of scandalous and shocking subject matter imaginable. It wasn't necessarily the best way to make a good story, but at least it was entertaining. This by comparison is mostly tame, I kept asking myself, "where's the incest?, the lesbians?, the suicide?". Heck, even a teacher sleeping with a student doesn't seem as shocking when the student is Ueto Aya.
The one thing this version does do more than the original is being even more polarizing, which is no small feat, but the teacher's lies to the student actually succeeds in pissing more people off than his sleeping with her. It didn't bother me so much because it at least made for an interesting story. But what I really would have liked is for it to have ended the same way the original did, well it does from the standpoint of vagueness, but I'm saying from the standpoint of what supposedly happened to the original characters. COMPLETE. The drama is a simple drama.There is nothing extraordinary in it. But it was well-directed that the simplicity itself turned out to be very good and really amused me. It is a story about a love relationship between a teacher and student. But it's not a typical teacher and student love drama. It's not that their realationship is objected be it by the communitity or the family. But it is other than that. I don't want to say that I can feel the pain experienced by the actor and actress, but I want to say that I can SEE the pain. The actors and actresses really done really awesome jobs in this. All the characters were potrayed very well. Kudos to Narimiya Hiroki. His performance are PERFECT! So perfect, he suits the character well, and succeed in making his character so real. He impressed me so much that he can handle that character despite his young age. With his performance in Kou Kou Kyoushi, I give him a standing ovation. He is a talented actor and the entertainment industry should make use of it. That talent, if not use intelligently will be a big waste to the industry. The love between the main character is unbelievably makes me feel happy, sad and really touched my emotion. Even after I finished it, I can still feel their love in the air..... and I cried. This is an intriguing story; although the concept was centred around a teacher's love for a student and vise versa, for me it was the psychological aspect of the story that I became soon drawn too. Taken at face value as another "forbidden love"-type romance this will not satisfy you, as it is too dark in terms of its theme to allow you to enjoy it as that sort of drama. However, I think the unique twists that come about, although perhaps slightly incomprehendable, bring up strong questions about love as a virtue - is it based on need? Can it be overshadowed by guilt? Can those suffering a terrible past come to resolution? But perhaps one of the most interesting characters you'll see and the most brilliantly portrayed is Fujimura-sensei - a man with a terrible past, facing a life of guilt and covering his true persona with a "mask". Wow.
The sidestories are a bit strange and not so well-developed, but the main story had an amazing impact on me in the last two episodes. When the series starts, you think that the teacher Ikumi is the worst person alive and doesn't deserve to live. And you see Hina as the childish schoolgirl of 17. Later on, Hina develops vastly and grows up, more than Ikumi ever had. But you get to understand Ikumis ways and feelings nearly complete. The end of the story is very sad, but not in the plain way, much more subtle; it mixes up your feelings. Seeing Hina in the ending scene I would describe as the "saddest happy end" I've ever watched.
PS: For the "DUMB" and "SUCKS" people:
Watch this to the very end!!! Or you'll never get to understand this dorama with its many twists. There was a part when I was annoyed by the sidestories, too. Therefore 8 points, but the ending full points.

So, the sequel. I didn't like this one at all. The characters are either twisted are just annoying, and the main issues are actually not as controversial as the original. I think the only inspirational parts of the series were firstly, the environments. The setting of the scene was immensely well done here, especially the main teachers flat, which makes you feel so claustrophobic, like he really is alone. Secondly, the soundtrack. Yes, I will admit that I am a Morita Douji fanboy, but that doesn't stop me from saying it. But 1993 even beat this one on the soundtrack too, 'cos this drama pretty much uses "Bokutachi no Shippai" all the time. 1993 had a nice selection of her works. A lot of people talk "bad drama","Wasting time". But A lot of other people like it "Good Plot", "Recommended". It depend on people who watch it. For me it was good story, very original. Do you understand how scare to be alone at night, and death always waiting for you. Humans are weak, i agree with that, that's why koga did that cruel thing, that's why he need hina's love. Fujiki and aya-chan was great, Kyomoto who play fujimura-sensei, Narimiya who play yuji, Sonim who play Beniko, they are play well and make it like it really happen. Sad and dark. In the end, they give us a little hope, than crush it with sad ending... I almost cry..

At first I thought this series would be a typical student-teacher-relationship-type with some people who think it's odd or annoying and interfering them and such. But it turned out to be more than that. There were more twists to it and that made me more interested in it. It was like a new type of story of the student-teacher-relationship. I liked that idea.
But actually, more than that.. it wasn't that exciting. It was sad at times though... I think it's worth watching anyway. Fujiki and Ueto are pretty good actors.. not that much at the played time back in 2003, but they have surely improved by now ^_^

This drama was a lot different than any other drama I'd ever seen, it was pretty dark. But I loved it. I loved the interaction between Hina (Ueto) and Koga-sensei (Fujiki), they were fantastic in these roles. I liked the (weird!) plotline with Beniko (Sonim), Fujimura-sensei (Kyomoto), and Yuji (Narimiya) too. I think I should mention Narimiya played Yuji brilliantly. The plot was really unpredictable, it turned out to be so different than I had originally imagined.
I know that what Koga did was horrible, but he just wanted someone to understand what he was feeling. No one in the right state of mind would do that, and because of his fatal illness, he obviously wasn't. Anyways, a great drama, with a sad ending. | | 10. | Comments by chin5 [Rating: 10/10]
HS Teacher 2003 represents a very disturbing theme for a drama. Though I find the romantic relationaship between teacher and student quite shocking--considering these girls were considerably younger-- it also opens the viewers eyes to some extent that this may indeed happen in reality , after all teachers are human-subjected to emotions of sadness and passion. I found Ueto and Somin acting with much maturity far beyond their ages. Kyomito as Fujimura is someone you either loved or hated. Fujiki as Koga could only tear your heart to pieces with such emotional sadness especially in the scenes where he was dying-- his projected strenghth was awe inspiring. Intense drama. I really liked the middle episodes, although the beginnign and the ending feel right in their own place, but the middle ones are just really cute and romantic. Compared to other dramas by the writer, this one didn't include too many (big) surprises towards the solution, however, this felt right given the more severe topic of life & death. Great acting all around and lots of likable & detestable characters. The story in itself I thought lacked. Fujiki Naohito did put up a great performance.. his acting has been getting better. It's one of those you either like or don't. Very dark and really deals with playing with human emotions... it's all a game afterall. I do salute Narimiya Hiroki's acting... truly breathtaking.. not to say flawless. An actor to look out for. I do wonder though why some people say they still liked him despite him being the bad guy. The character is meant to be hated! I have to say, I haven't seen a storyline this twisted and unforgettable since my first ever drama "Winter Sonata". However, although there is fewer episodes and a very different story, all i can say is that I was totally inclined to watching it and connected to each character.
Although, I must say the characters do very messed up things to each other and to themselves, it all makes it such an incredible drama. It just made me realize how messed up love really is... but at the same time it reminded me how indescribable love can also be.

Naohito's character is annoying and spineless. Really bugged me when watching this drama. How there might be people like that in the real world scares me. If it weren't for the strong supporting cast, this show wouldn't last a few episodes with me.
Aya Ueto is as cute as ever. One of my favorites actresses. Strangely, I was more pulled in by the side story of Moroki the other male teacher and his student Beniko. Wow, Norimiya was the epitome of evil. Contrast this role with his in Orange Days and you will appreciate his acting skills.

Outstanding acting by Fujiki, till I can 'feel' his pain and desperation :( Aya is also very cute, but dun reali like it when she abandon Fujiki completely then starts chasing after him once he's gone. Though I could identify with her feeling cheated, but he's always there for her whenever she needs him (though at first it's out of guilt) so I find it very unbearable when he needs her and she refused him completely..

This dorama really sucks... but its not one of the worst i've seen. All those messed up characters is just disturbing (i was disgusted by all of them... including Aya's character which is most "normal" of them). The so called "twisted plot" is pretty annoying as well... altough the few last episodes were quite nice to watch. I really got to hate the teacher because of his "experiment" on Hina. Incredibly immoral. He wasn't likeable enough to pull it off as a result of his condition, so I wasn't able to conjure up any sympathy for him at all. Ueto Aya as Hina was just the right amount of vulnerable and adorable. Very sensitive dorama, definitely not for everyone..At times hard to understand the roles' actions, but when u think about it it makes sense. Very touching, the way the teacher becomes more and more dependent on his student, as she slowly lifts up his burden and shows some light in his dark and lonely life (T^T)

From my point of view, I really think teen girls chasing after their teachers at 14 is weird, a crush isn't unusual, but such ardent lust freaked me out, haha. I enjoyed this dorama very much, even if most of the characters have mental issues it was a good dorama. The only sane person in this dorama is Hina and probably Koga(we need to gime a discount since he has a brain tumor). But the host Yuji, Fujimura sensei, the doctor Yuriko, Beniko and Mami all had some loose screws in their heads.

A drama with a calm, mystic and at times bizarre atmosphere. Has a nice plot with excitement, and really good acting overall.

Possibly the most morally ambiguous and non-judgemental TV show I've ever seen. The way the two teachers treat their students is just so twisted, but it was so compelling to see what injustice would happen next. It was a bit like watching a car crash. Ueto Aya redefines cute to a whole new level and Kyomoto Masaki quite possibly has the worst haircut in the history of the world. |

Beginning of KouKouKyoushi was actually quite terrible. All the characters were annoying, nothing made sense and i almost stopped and deleted it.
However i contined (because i had nothing to do) and i must say it turned out to be really entertaining. The characters weren't annoying anymore and the plot began to make more sense, and the ending couldn't have been more perfect, kinda up in the air but at the same time obvious as to what had happened.

Ahh! I finished all 11 episodes in 2 days!! I'm wondering why it's not higher, it's such a great drama! I was getting dissapointed by all the dramas, too.. and then BAM i hit this one (cuz i was searching for narimiya dramas ;)) and it totally blew me away! All the actors are great, the plot is wonderful, and it's just overall addictive.
