1. Enjoyed every minute! [Rating: 9/10]
Totally enjoyed every minute of it. Miura Haruma is absolutely hapless as Mochizuki Kotaro, yet so stern and demanding as Mochizuki Kotaro samurai; he is truly one of the best actors of his generation. The rest of the cast are excellent as well; I was surprised at the choice of Shirota Yuu (Nakamura) but liked the contrast he gave his character: cool-looking guy but absolutely colourless, then growing into a strong character out of sheer loyalty to his friend. The story was sometimes a bit too fantastic, but it always had its comedic, heartwarming and exciting moments. The fighting scenes are beautifully choreographed. 9 episodes was a bit too short for my liking; yet I don't think they could have done anymore with the story. A definite must-watch!

This is really quite an interesting and funny show, much credit to the lead actor Miura Haruma for being so convincing as the peace-seeking high school student who switches modes COMPLETELY each time he get possessed by his samurai ancestor. And what a very charming, dashing samurai he makes! It's amazing that Miura could deliever these two very extreme characters so convincingly.

The storyline is rather ok, sometimes outrageously ridiculous and kind of pretentious (trying to be philosophical sometimes, but falls flat) but I guess that's because it's a comedy. I'm halfway through the show and enjoying every minute of it!

3. Samurai High School [Rating: 9/10]
What an astounding, believable, wonderful samurai Miura-san portrays. And conversely, what an endearing vulnerable goofball of a high school student he evinces! Miura-san has shown himself to be a very versatile actor at his young age! This drama is fun and at times touching, as well. It is utterly enjoyable and absorbing!

Miura haruma played 2 characters, his acting as a samurai was superb but as a 'stupid' high school student was bad.

Samurai High School starts with a very interesting stories and shows some good characters (altough most of the times they r so exaggerated). But in the last few episodes the show just starts to go downhill. In the last three episodes for example i was struggling to watch... the plot didnt make sense whatsoever. It could been such a marvelous dorama but unfortunately the ending was idiotic. i dont really recommend this one (but the firsr episodes r worth watching).
2. Comments by Nermal [Rating: 7/10]
Watching... the line "You want to have my children?" said in old japanese was priceless!

Turned out to be more interesting than expected but mainly based on the fact that I was blown away by Miura Haruma's acting skills again. He just portrays both role very well and it was a lot of fun to watch the family scenes.

I especially liked the fact that most of the problems they were facing are very actual in Japan, even though exagerated.
3. Comments by Meatbun-man [Rating: 4/10]
Lots of potential... funny... but the seriousness was inserted at poor times on many occasions, and the main characters were poorly casted...

Miura Haruma's acting is over the top and he is not a good fit for this role.

Shirota Yuu is another example of this, terribly cast compared to his looks.

On the plus side, there were many characters who were cast just fine and did a wonderful job.
4. Comments by Chrolo [Rating: 6/10]
Sorry but I have to say I stopped watching during the 5th episode because the dumbass characters of the normal Mochizuki and especially the fact that my favourite actor Shirota Yuu has/plays such a TERRIBLE role made me tooooo angry.
Beside this it's a very nice dorama, can't say other things - so I still give generous 6 points in sum.
5. Comments by Hinano [Rating: 5/10]
Well I only watched 6 episodes because I couldn't find the rest but it was okay. There was nothing special and some characters were kind of annoying. The plot was a little out of wack too, didn't feel like it was really going anywhere so I guess I don't regret too much for not being able to finish it.
6. Comments by Nanaki [Rating: 9/10]
Probably the funniest drama I've seen so far!! I loved Miura Haruma in this drama, it shows how many different roles he's able to do as an actor and therefore he has received much more respect from my side now than before! Loved it! I really wanna see more, 9 eps was too little!
7. Comments by Patazilla [Rating: 8/10]
I'd say it's 8-9 points... Even though it was a bit silly and flat on some points it also had a few moments of deeper meaning and altogether was really enjoyable. Miura Haruma is a great actor and I liked all the quite unique side characters. :3

Very hilarious, Miura Haruma once again showed that he's excellent young actor with a lot of potential to portrait different characters. Drama is really entertaining and funny. One of the best comedy I've ever watched.

watching high school dramas about a boy and girl with completely opposite personalities falling in love in the end gets really tiring at time. This drama wasn't like that, it was really refreshing and funny. loved it.

Cool samurai. Miura haruma did really well, he play two character who very different attitude. I'm not satisfied with the ending, that's not a climax, how poor.

its ridiculous, hilarious and crazy...i was annoyed by watanabe dai's sister, and everybody kinda talked stupidly, idk why that was but all in all i actually liked the show, NOW ON TO BLOODY MONDAY 2!

Pretty silly/pointless but still amusing to watch. Miura Haruma is definitely a talented actor; he can play extremely different characters convincingly and with ease.
13. Comments by strawberryfzz [Rating: 7/10]
Samurai Haruma was entertaining and very sexy. The story was pretty generic and not particularly well written. Shirota Yu was the most annoying thing on the planet.
14. Comments by williu [Rating: 8/10]
Very funny at times, and very silly at times. The samurai theme is indeed done with a fun spin, and the clashes of culture are sometimes brilliantly portrayed.

Miura did a good job with this duel character role. Sometimes it seemed like there were two different people playing the characters.

A bit too wacky for me. It's kind of hard to pull off comedy with straight seriousness at the same time.

Lots of fun - if you enjoy high-school doramas - and not remotely as silly as I was expecting it to be.
