I never liked Conan as Manga/Anime but again Shun made me watching it. Shun as Shinichi? Might be interesting I thought and I wasn't disappointed at all :D
just Ran was a little bit annoying as usual.

This was one of my favorite mangas growing up. At first, I wasn't sure if Oguri was the right fit, but then I got used to him and he did quite well. Kurokawa is kind of young to play Ran, but she did do a good job too. |

Oguri Shun did a really well presentation of Kudo Shinichi. Dunno who's the girl who played Ran but she potrayed the emotionally insecure Ran perfectly. Although I like Mayuko san, I think Sonoko's character should be exaggerated a wee bit more like in the manga. And I think there was more chemistry between Shun and Mayuko than with him and the actress who played Ran. |

I'm a fan of the anime series so of course I'll watch the this one. Much to my disappointment. I like both Oguri and Tomokawa for their respective roles especially Jinnai Takanori who really fit the role of Mori Kogore. But the only letdown was the case. It was so plain and simple. I easily spotted the killer the moment it appeared.
2nd Special: I give it a 9. This is much more exciting and interesting than the first one. But the only disappointment would be the child portraying Conan. Wasnt there anyone else to play this role? |

This really would have a much lower rating if it wasn't for the fact that it is a Conan movie. Sadly, I don't think any main character in this drama special can act (particularly Oguri Shun), which contributed to the entire downfall of the drama. The story on the whole wasn't too bad, though I guess the whole tone and the speed of plot progression is more suitable for a manga than for a drama. |

I you like Detective Conan this definitely is a really nice special! It is just like the anime series, with all the Conan-stereotypes in it. |3 And even if you are not interested in Conan or don't know anything about the manga/anime, it is worth watching as all the actors do a great job and the story is good, too. |

I was surprised when I watched it. Shun Oguri was Shinichi Kudo! But, so sad it was only a one episode special.. You know, Conan became a kid. But, Shun was definitely awesome. He is so cute. =) |

i think all the actors perfectly portrayed their characters according to the anime!! so if you're looking for a realistic take on the anime, then dont watch this. Mouri acts EXACTLY as he does in the anime, down to the insane facial expressions, and its super comical!! i loved every minute of it! |

I love detective stories XD. Shun really looks like in the manga. I always wonder how they actually manage to figure out a crime and solve it....i mean,there are SO many detective/'supernatural' dramas like trick 1,2,3,special ,kindaichi 1,2,3,special 1,special 2, special 3, Liar game, Furuhata Chugakusei and now conan. |

I love this! Although it wasn't as interesting as the 2nd installment, but I still really enjoyed it! Shun was great as Shinichi! I thought he was really in-character & he's so hot! =D I laughed at those comments suggesting that he "can't act"! If Shun "can't act", then neither could MOST other japanese actors! lol! =P
And I don't understand why so many ppl don't like the lead actress, I like Tomoka, yes she's a bit too young for the role and she isn't really "fit" enough, but I still think she did the best she could & I thought she was actually quite good, she's cute too. I do see some chemistry between her and Shun, if not on-screen, then it's off-screen...I've seen the press con & some of the making of part 2 & they both seemed to have gotten on pretty well off-screen. I do like them together =)
Overall, this is a really good adaption (although part 2 was slightly better). |
