1. Fun Drama. [Rating: 8/10]
Although sometimes it feels like a cheesy James Bond rip-off and the weapons that are used are truely overwhelmingly over the top, I still liked this drama. It was refreshing to finally see an action drama. The story was a bit slow at first but the story really kicks in during the last half with plenty of interesting plot twists. The message it sent about forgiving others was a bit preachy but I felt it's a great message and was well executed. It was also refreshing to see such a message coming from a Japanese show since I hear at least once in every Japanese show the word "unforgivable." The solution to the heat wave was outright ridiculous but luckily it didn't ruin the ending. Nagase Tomoya was excellent in this drama and I really liked his character's story and development. It wasn't Fukada Kyoko's best but not her worst, she was ok in this drama. Though she looks a bit odd with short hair and blond streaks. It's more like a 7.5. The story and the character development is strong, but I would give it a higher rating if it weren't for how ridiculous this series can get at times.

2. Tom Cruise Spawns bad Japanese Comedy [Rating: 5/10]
The script writer must have watched Tom Crusie in Valkyrie and decided wow.... thats a good idea ! I can use that...
Emoto Akira is a Hitler look alike terrorist and even has his own Count Stauffenburg Aide in an episode. Ex-Swindler Tomoyo Nagase & Agent Fukada Kyoko have to stop him.Tomoyo Nagase does his best with the poor script but cramps Fukada's comedic style in the process. Unfortunately the triangle relationship between Anne's character Hirahara San-kyu and Tomoyo Nagase's character Yoroi Kyosuke and Fukada Kyoko's character Dorothy isn't fully resolved either. The show just doesn't work for me .

3. Not Nagase's best, but... [Rating: 6/10]
Nagase Tomoya is as outrageous as always in his latest outing, but this is definitely not his best drama. The crime/spy plots are neither interesting nor funny enough to draw you in and Kyoko Fukuda tries too hard to be cute. It had its heartfelt, sensitive moments as well as its crazy, fun ones; worth watching if only for Nagase's switching between the two extremes of exaggerated over-the-top acting and being dead serious and passionate, which he does best.

Take note that this spy drama is with comic undertone so expect some slapstic and over the top comedy. Ep 1 watched, am putting this in the backlog since ep 1 didn't impress me much for me to waste time on it over other dramas which seem to be more promising than this. Maybe will pick up later or to be dropped from the watching list. I always love Nagase's performance and been waiting for a good drama from him, unfortunately this is not it.

at first i was a little disappointed but that was because i thought the show would have been better had it not been a comedy, and im right about that...BUT, once i took the show for what it was i thought it was really funny...casting was good, a bit too goofy at times...nagase can act as usual, fukada kyoko is what she is but i love her reguardless...die hard nagase and fukada fans will enjoy the show..

I was in Japan during summer 2009 and Karei Naru spy is airing on TV. Wow..I need to get the dvd when I get back to Malaysia, and I did. There is a 70s-80s retro comic feeling about this jdorama, maybe because the music and Kyoko Fukada's dressing! I love Kyoko fukada and tomoya nagase acting together, they always fights like kids. Watch the whole series in one day!

You say Nagase Tomoya? I say hell yeah I'm watching this! Now what's left is to see if this is gonna be worth it... and so far after two episodes, this is soooo much fun!

Will review after series ends.

It is a comdey type drama that has no real story line between the characters. Kyoko Fukara could never regain her magic since the drama "Kamisama mou sukoshi dake".

Although Nagase was adorkable the drama wasn't really good. It started quite interesting but sadly it got worse =(

don't know why nagase-san always plays this kind of roles,he is handsome though, but the role is stupid.

Very lame. Nagase is always good, but with this script... it's just too stupid.
