In the beginning this feels like it will be a relatively lighthearted drama, but it is not at all. This is some really heavy stuff, and extremely complicated. I started to feel some discomfort which just kept progressing, until it became quite depressing. I found it hard to be angry at anyone in it, but I equally couldn't be happy for any of it's developments. Even the happiest moments have a clear disturbance behind them. But I have to say that I completely respect this style of story telling. It feels true to real life. I don't think every show should be about unicorns and rainbows. I admire the actions of every character, and feel like I learned something and developed as a human being in this world of complicated relationships. BUT, it still feels bad, and I actually worry that this show has added an extra little bit of depression that I will live carrying inside for the rest of my life. So I'm miserable for having watched this, but I can't belittle a television show that is capable of doing that. |

This dorama, has blown me away from the start right to the end. After watching an epiosode, it gave me like 10 minutes to think about. Such an emotionally dense journey I haven't been taken by a dorama for a long, long time. The emotional depth is so high that every action which is done can be interpreted in many ways so I always was thrilled to see what the reasons were. It hits right the nerve of (also me) being 26 years. Only, the play of Fukuyama wasn't that good, also the other actors were only average. But somehow they managed to overcome that and build a good chemistry and could deliver the emotional depth.
Camera and scene settings were typically 90s very good. The last episode gives some serious life advice in many ways. |

This is the first drama that I liked Fukuyama Masaharu in. He plays a man who is still in love with his high school crush. Unfortunately for him, she still has a crush on his best friend. This drama is revolved around love triangles, one-sided loves, and lots of heartbreaks and is a must-watch for those who love romantic dramas. Only drawback was the lackluster ending that had me wonder, "That's it??" |

It's not bad, but not great either. I rarely wanted to look away, there were clear characterisations and some engaging. Sakurai Sachiko was lovely to watch too, but in hindsight, I felt that it lacked depth and substance. Abandoned after 8 episodes. |
