There's just a different feeling to this than most other dramas. Nothing really special about the story, but it has a perfect for TV mix of murder, infidelity, and general trashiness, combined with a hip youthfulness.
It does have it's problems. It has a typical rushed ending. The eventual appearance of her husband, who has been narrarating the entire series, is a total letdown. He's just a boring bus driver, they get married, and he heroically saves her with his own murder mysteries, all in the span of a underwhelming ten minutes or so. I also see a lot of missed opportunities. For example, I really thought something weird and cool would happen with the strange girl who worked at the bank.
Still, I'm a big fan of stories where a lot happens over the course of it, like this. It's definitely a good watch. |

I must confess that, as I start reviewing this "Shotenin Michiru no Mi no Uebanashi", I have mixed feelings somehow. As a matter of fact, despite not having had any particular expectation regarding this dorama, I got drawn in right away from the very first minutes, as it started with a huge "BANG!". The series went on being very interesting and enjoyable until around the middle of its run, then - at least, as far as I'm concerned - it took a turn for the worse, went downhill and by the time it reached its conclusion I was left with a "meh" aftertaste...:/ |

This drama is actually quite confusing... peculiar ending and hidden past... However the morale lesson is a crystal clear - don't ever pile up lies with another lies till you end up live in lies... I can say that many aspects of this story are not revealed till the end... |

Strange mix of murder mystery, stalking, small-town boredom with a flaky damsel in distress at the centre. Good actors but the story is a little random. Wasn't too keen on the Christian theme. |
