| Miyaji Nao (Maki Yoko), a down-to-earth, contented housewife and mother of teenage boy (Sato Ruiki), has no interest in dressing up. However, her life completely changes one day after she happens to get scouted by Kurosawa Junko (Itaya Yuka), the chief editor of popular female magazine Vanity, to be a model. Nao steps into the world of a fashion magazine that she has never even read before despite her prejudice against its superficiality that absolutely does not agree with her and her own reluctance to “look beautiful”. She gradually begins to discover a new set of values in the process of coming in contact with Okita Eri (Ito Ayumi), a writer who is at a critical stage in her career, and Hamaguchi Yukako (Kichise Michiko), a stunningly beautiful and professional top model. Most of the comments I've seen about this drama people didn't like it, so I guess I'm in the minority because I liked it. Maki, Ito, and the rest of the cast were good. If you're a guy, the closing credits alone make it worth watching!
