| 1. | Good kids show [Rating: 9/10] This is a good saturday morning type show. It's made for preteens, but I found I enjoyed it. It's like a strange combination of the 20's Our Gang series and X-files. My preteen son adores this show. So I've seen it about three time in the past two months.
There are two seasons in this show. The first is when the 'gang'' is in the final year of elementary school. Tsubasa plays a geek, even down to the glasses. Tackey of course is the main character with the intresting family and grandfather the world travel. He gave Tackey's character a computer program to help them solve cases, then promptly 'vanished." They also have a friend called Takashi, and the token girl is called Erika, and she has a little brother called Shoon. This first season had sixteen episodes.
The second season is when the 'gang' is in the first year of Junior high. Shoon isn't in this one as much, as he still is going to another school. They are joined in their case hunting by tom boy Akira. Tsubasa's character, called Kenta isn't as geeky in this series, passing his character change as his getting contacts. The second season had fourteen episodes and a special.
I really enjoyed this series. It's worth hunting down. The second season has a bigger budget with better sfx, but it's really best to see both seasons. The title I was given for this show was the Kaiki club. Tackey and Tsubasa are both very good in this. It's quite intresting to see a show were Tsubasa is smaller then Tackey.
Highly recomended show. |
