| | 1. | A underrated series! Lots of action! [Rating: 10/10] This series is like a Beat Takashi/John Woo movie. No romance, but heavy on the plot. I haven’t seen a Dorama from Japan use so many guns. Seems like everyone in the series has at least four. Katori Shingo gives an excellent performance in this. Showing his true colors as an actor. He plays two entirely different roles, both with total conviction. The geek is a gadget whiz who comes up with wonderful devices, seemingly shrinking several inches to become the geek. The ‘hero’ on the other hand slowly looses those he cares for, both by betrayal and death. He begins a slow spiral into insanity. His revenge isn’t simply going after the men who killed his brother; he plots the entire downfall of their corporation. Even though the ending is a bit bleak, it’s foreshadowed in the series. There was room for a sequel, and it’s too bad there wasn’t one. I hope that someday, someone will reuse Katori Shingo as an action star. | | Reviewed by katrinka on 8 July 2002 | | 2. | Quite entertaining...but [Rating: 7/10] I don't know how to put it as worst or good so I think in between. The action was half done and the script was bad for some good actors there (except Uehara Takako who did not impress me one bit with her acting, maybe Pinocchio would do a better Job). Katori Shingo and Ishibashi Ryo were mesmerizing which help me a lot to keep on watching this drama. The plot was rather complicated to explain here but to wrap up about what's this drama is all about, it contains Love, Revenge and Lust for Power. It's different and quite entertaining. | | Reviewed by Akakage on 29 November 2005 | | 3. | MARVELLOUS! [Rating: 9/10] Well...watching this drama make me feel..unbelieveable. Shingo really makes me impressed with him. From a SMAP member who is childish and always get teased by other member as baby, he become someone that far different from who he is. Uehara Takako, doesn't good as I wish but still can forgive her because this is the first drama for her. But she is so beautiful until I can't get my eyes off her. Kirei ne.....very cute pairing between her and Shingo..i love them as a couple. They have chemistry to be together | | Reviewed by sakura_shinguji on 30 August 2006 | | 4. | The best action drama in japan! [Rating: 9/10] I love Shingo as Asakura Tetsuya! He really makes me think twice, is it true that is Shingo from SMAP?? From a childish man, he become someone that is really different from he is. This drama make me feel weird too, because I never seen dorama action like this. Uehara Takako? She is beautiful, absolutely gorgeous! But doesn't seem parallel with her beauty. | | Reviewed by Fye_D.Flowright on 6 March 2007 |

Well I'm sure that's what it was supposed to be, but I thought it was funny. Shingo looked good in the drama, but very many scenes that were supposed to be suspenceful, weren't, and I didn't really feel much sympathy for a lot of the characters. This however, marks a growth of Shingo, and I'm a big fan of his, so I liked it anyway. It wasn't bad, but I couldn't take it as seriously as I'm sure I should have. | | 3. | Comments by katrinka [Rating: 10/10] This is Shingo's best drama. It is very fast paced. Highest recomendations! | | 4. | Comments by fuqinlan [Rating: 10/10] this is the first show that i have seen he acted! | | 5. | Comments by FierceStriker [Rating: 6/10] The director obviously wanted to make this a sleek action-oriented suspense drama. However, the result is more puzzling then mindblowing. The acting is well done, but the script and directing are both quite poor. I pity the actors. | | 6. | Comments by orenji [Rating: 10/10] Impressive performance by Katori Shingo! It's the first time I've ever seen him in an action dorama and his acting in it really impressed me. Normally I would see him in his hilarious ways in Bistro SMAP or other shows but this time round, you would be able to see a cool and unpredictable Shingo as Asakura Tetsuya who is a salaryman at day and a swift "wolf" at night. The character is very different from what you see in "Hito ni Yasashiku" and "Love Story". I am impressed with Imai Miki in the drama as well. Though she doesn't appear much, her role as Yuri as still a significant one in the middle of the dorama. The theme song and the OST is very good as well! Worth watching! ^_^ | | 7. | Comments by toiling [Rating: 4/10] Wierd dorama... | | 8. | Comments by GIGI [Rating: ?/10] In the watch list. |
