1. Don't Miss It [Rating: 9/10]
A wonderfully dark and moving series with an interesting premise. Hirosue Ryoko once again works her magic and pulls off a very convincing part as Ako, a blind girl whose father recently died. Because of her situation, a man named Reiji (Watabe Atsuro) takes advantage of the fact that she is rich and blind and pretends to be her brother whose name also happens to be Reiji.

As the series progresses, you see the two of them grow closer to one another and how much Reiji changes from his once cold-hearted and money loving self to a more considerate and caring person. The change just seemed very natural and well acted out.

One of the best features of this drama is the talented acting displayed by both the leads and the supporting cast. Their characters were complicated and were full of depth, they just seemed very real and you couldn't help but sympathize with their current situations. This is definitely one drama that shouldn't be missed.

2. A Must-Watch [Rating: 8/10]
another ten i must give! this drama is dark, but it warms up as the audience comes to understand the characters better episode by episode. i don't think there could be another song that fits the theme of this drama better than the one chosen. whenever it plays, whenever i see Ryoko with her eyes closed, getting only a blurry view of Atsuro, a warmth grows to exist in the darkness.

the story takes its time for character development, filled with scenes of every kind. the ending is obviously predictable, but it's the process which leads to the ending that truly makes this drama worth watching. :) props to the director! the selected cast is beautiful - i love realistic portrayal; each person has done their job well.

this is a drama that shouldn't be overlooked! i recommend it.

3. Excellent. [Rating: 10/10]
It it such a shame that this drama is not more widely recognised. Yes, it has a predictable storyline, but that isn't an issue here because whoever the casting director was - he/she did an excellent job. The real shine of this drama has to be the intimate relationship that the audience shares with each and every one of the characters. You care that Ako is blind and this fake Reiji is trying to con her of her fortune. You care that Reiji is really the most entrapped man alive, and that Naru is... is... simply indescribable. (I must say, Naru is perhaps the most alluringly beautiful character I have ever come across - I love him and consequently have developed an admiration for Fujiwara Tetsuya.) You really care - and that's exactly what great dramas aim to do - make you care.

4. Hirosue's top performance [Rating: 9/10]
I really should give this drama a 10, because it's almost perfect in every way. The best part about the drama is the plot, which develops at a steady pace, with plenty of surprises, but the kind where you feel they did it just to keep you watching, but the kind that is totally reasonable given what's going on at the moment.
Despite the poor ratings (one of the lowest by both leads), the screenplay writer won best screenplay (well deserved). Of course, great performances by everyone in the story, not just the leads, made this drama so much more entertaining to watch.
So there you have it; great story, great acting, what a great drama. I was lent this drama by a friend, and haven't even heard of this drama before then. What a surprising discovery

5. Great Series [Rating: ?/10]
I'll admit, this series might not appeal to everyone. The story basically revolves around the relationship between Atsuro and Hirosue. Atsuro's acting is amazing, he pulls off the character with a tough exterior and a (surprisingly) kind heart so well. The acting is quite subtle until the last one or two episodes, and you never even quite figure out when exactly Atsuro fell for the girl. I also liked the fact that the emotions of the characters are constrained, and the drama doesn't overflow with declarations of love or other cheesy romantic lines. But be warned, this is a somewhat dark and brooding drama, with no comic relief whatsoever.

6. hirosue pulls through [Rating: 10/10]
hirosue pulls off a well-done, believable performance. moreover, i think this is definitely a credit to the types of characters she can play, based on the fact that she wasn't exactly a bubbly or sweet girl immediately in this dorama. also, the tension that builds up is amazing between the two main leads. this one has heart, it's a must-see!

7. Touching drama [Rating: 10/10]
I like this drama! It's a bit sad, and also contains a bit of a mystery. There are scenes where it really touches your heart... and dunno why, but I immediately get into the mood of the drama every time the theme song starts...

This was a great drama that showcased some of Hirosue Ryoko's best acting - although I must admit that I've always enjoyed her acting in all of the other dramas that I've seen her in ("Summer Snow", "Oyaji", "Wasabi", "Dekichatta Kekkon", "Seija no Koushin" even "Moto Kare") The characters in this series were pretty complicated and their motives were not always easily seen.

Watabe Atsuro plays the part of Reiji, a man who pretends to be Hirosue Ryoko's (Ako) brother in order to con her out of her money. Because Ako is blind and hasn't seen or heard from her brother in a long time, she isn't able to tell the difference. Naru, played by Fujiwara Tatsuya, is Reiji's friend who also tags along.

The story progresses nicely and the plot unfolds very naturally. I think the biggest strength of this drama was the acting and depth of each of the characters. Because so much thought was put into each person - you will find that you end up caring for all of them - from Hirosue's strength and determination to become more independent even though she's blind and Watabe's slow change in his feelings towards her.

This was a wonderfully deep and moving drama. I highly recommend it, this one should not be overlooked!

This is definitely a high quality drama. Excellently written and acted, what impressed me most was how it was able to convey to the audience what were going through the minds of the characters, and how their feelings and thoughts changed. There is a lot to ponder and appreciate here, I felt I need to watch some parts again to try and understand what really happened.

I actually watched the second half out of order, because I was dreading, the deceit and cruelty, but I need not to have worried. Almost every character had a story of their own, and even though the premise may seem cliche, it was engrossing once you get past the beginning.

I rate this 8, but only because this is not the type of drama I would normally enjoy, and obviously spoiling myself meant that I was not as moved/affected as I could have been.

This is one of the best dramas I've watched. I can't believe this got such low ratings. The plot was great, and it was also very sad.

Watabe Atsuro acted so well in this drama. Although I wasn't attracted to him at all at first, (he's too skinny) at the end of the drama, I fell in love with Reiji. Hirosue Ryoko was pretty good, too, but she was a little too fat in this dorama.
the ending was not really credible..though..
In Korea, a movie is being made based on this drama, starring Kim Juhyuk and Moon Geun Young. I hope the movie will be as good as this one!

I liked this. Story of how a con artist who wanted to con a blind girl of her family fortune by posing as her brother but ended up falling in love with her instead... I thought Atsuro was great, as he portrayed the emotions of a softened criminal really well. Hirosue was.. well..Hirosue! haha.. This drama starts off rather slowly, but picks up good pace arouns the middle. Nice story theme centred upon survival and trust, and a good soundtrack to boot makes this an excellent watch.

I think both Watabe and Fujiwara san took these roles to not be typecast as super good men for the rest of their lives. But their approach to this drama was just wrongheaded. They thought talking at a snarling whisper thru the drama and making tough facial expressions would make you believe their some kind of mafia people. But its just a boring attempt
6. Comments by yume [Rating: 8/10]
Watabe and Hirosue absolutely shine! I couldn't believe how sexy Watanabe appeared in his insiduous, back-stabbing role! This drama really attests the multiplicity of characters Hirosue and Watanabe can produce, and I really hope to see more of these challenging roles for Hirosue in the future!

Absolutely loved. I think this dorama is desperately under-appreciated. The entire cast was excellent, I finally understand now why Fujiwara Tatsuya has such a huge fan base, he's an excellent, excellent, A-Class actor.

I like this drama series. It was a little dark but both leads put in a good performance. Watabe Atsuro and Hirosue Ryoko showed that thier skills are maturing. This drama is well received by a lot of fan.

Hirosue Ryoko gives a commendable performance as a blind girl. Watabe Atsuro is again the evil yet kind person. This drama is quite dark.

This is a Definitely fantastic drama. I don't understand why this drama had such low ratings. Watabe Atsuro was perfect as Reiji. I didn't think Ryoko Hirosue really fits the role of Ako that well though. this is one of the best jdoramas I watched so far, and I definitely recommend this to people who love romance with a bit of thriller element.
