1. Sakura [Rating: 6/10]
A decent show. The plot is based around a young woman named Sakura who is a 3rd generation Japanese American living in Hawaii. Sakura moves to Japan to teach which allows her the chance to learn about her ancestry. She ends up living in a very traditional Japanese style house with a large family of interesting characters. The family business is making candles. Sakura learns about the wonders of the beautiful Hida area of Japan while having various adventures as she relentlessly tries to help everyone she meets with their problems.

The series is guilty of some rea overacting but it is done in a fun goofy way. I enjoyed. It is a bit long though.

2. Not bad [Rating: 6/10]
I enjoyed watching the drama for the most part. It was nothing very exciting but featured a nice little town with a diverse group of people. The focus was on a Japanese American woman who went to Japan to teach and make a cultural bridge. The acting was cheesy the side stories were strange but the show had a good heart. I would recomend it if you have spare time and can still find it playing.

The main spices of this otherwise bland asadora are its beautiful locations and the "Will he, won't he?" that'll keeps you guessing to the end. A piece of trivia: Mr. Will-He-Won't-He is the son of music conductor Osawa Seiji.

I enjoyed the interaction of a young woman of Japanese-American descent from Hawaii with the wide variety of people she met while living in Japan as a student teacher. Sakura is adorable. Plus Ozawa Yukiyoshi, as a Physical Ed teacher, is very easy on the eyes in this one. I wanted it to go on much longer after it ended.

Watched the special end show. The original show had a disgustingly high number of short episodes. The highlights end show was still several hours long.

While definetly not one of the best its a great show thats funny to watch I totally suggest it.

Sweet ending. But boy was this series long. The main female character can be annoying at times.

Fun to watch, although it got a little bogged down in areas compared to Churasan.

The love story was a bit repetitive, and annoying at times, but I really liked this drama. It's funny, it makes you cry.. I wish I was able to tape it! Itakura Kaori who played momo was horrible. =_= Was anyone shocked at Ozawa Yukiyoshi speaking English? His father is a famous conductor, and he studied in America for a while! :) I'm suprised he didn't get any more English speaking parts in this dorama!

Really like the characters and the love story. Also the fact that this series was set in Japan and Hawaii.
