| Synopsis |

In the winter of 2001, Igawa’s gardening company helps Eizo to cure an old camphor tree in Suma, a seaside town in southwest Kobe. Masaya comes to see Eizo’s work as he is interested in the “legendary gardener.” The next day, Wakaba falls down from a ladder at work and sprains her ankle. Masaya gives her a quick treatment and takes her to a hospital. When Wakaba is resting at her boarding house, Masaya comes and asks her a favor to build a small garden on the balcony of his acquaintance. Wakaba agrees and completes the garden. On Christmas Day, a party is held at the boarding house. After visiting GROOVE to see Shizuka’s live concert, Wakaba goes out with Masaya who unexpectedly kisses her. | | NHK |

Harada Natsuki has a bright future I think but this was not the most interesting morning drama. I enjoyed elements of it including the location of Kobe which was nice. The basic story of a girl trying to follow in her departed fathers footsteps and fulfill his dream and her own was a nice concept and the cast was good for the most part but they really loose their focus in spots and abruptly make massive changes in the story with no rhyme or reason. (Well that's not true it was a ratings bomb and they tried to do things to boost ratings and that failed and messed up the story for those watching). The middle of this asadora has some great moments when a dead character shows up alive, but the idea, like many other ideas in this show never develops. Harada Natsuki is doing a nice job as the sensitive big sister who tries to keep a smile no matter what. I caught this drama around the middle of the series. It goes on for many episodes of Wakaba working hard! When I saw Wakaba all the time I was saying gambatte Wakaba! just because its just a silly drama at some parts. I mean Wakaba does everything with a smile and rarely complains.
Harada Natsuki is an actress that stands out for me now. When I see her in other drama's, I'm all 'HEY ITS WAKABA'! lol
There things about the drama that could've been done better, like if Takahara Koichi didnt die and instead was the bartender who looked like him.. Ou Shigemi smiles too much! ~_^
Yamaguchi Sayaka's character is hot but lazy! She gets a boyfriend and gets pregnant without even trying as hard as Wakaba.
It was great to watch in the morning and I miss it now that its over.
