Dec 2004: This is the first drama my dear shinohara ryoko won for best female actress, and the little boy from this drama gets best supporting male, this drama not only touching, but teaches us to be more considerate and patient to ppl who suffers from autisme, great acting and educative, but some will find it rather boring bcos the story is abit more detailed. My mom watch it with me too, shes the one kept buggin me to continue watch the next episode.... |

Not my usual kind of drama but I'm glad I watched it. It's a detailed process of how a family copes with an autistic child, every episode is like watching the boy taking baby steps towards achieving something and it's very touching. Shinohara Ryoko was awesome as the mother, I really like her now after watching this, she's a good actress. Hikaru's teacher was also really awesome, I was just wondering how it is possible that she could just tend to Hikaru alone without doing other work. The little boy is just so cute too. |

I like Kobayashi in this series. She seems to be very good at playing quirky and intelligent characters. Yamagushi from TOKIO over acts in too many scenes. |

id have given it a 9 if not for the ending. im surprised i liked this dorama so much cos its quite sappy. but i really felt my emotions being swayed by little hikaru (and kotomi). everytime he grew i really felt so happy, as if i really knew him. moe deserves to be commended too. overall a very heartwarming and engaging dorama. |

A drama about a family whose son is autistic and the daily struggles and battles of living with a disorder that is as enigmatic as the human brain itself. Shinohara Ryoko plays flawlessly a mother at her wits end but unwilling to give up. Yamaguchi Tatsuya plays the father who doesn't under autism; he plays a frustrated man very well. This drama has to be applauded for informing people about a condition that was previously thought to be stupidity or ornery behavior. The execution could often use work, however. |
