This is an excellent and heartwarming family drama. The entire Mashiba family is awesome. One of my fav scenes ever was when Uta poured a kettle of water on an asleep Horo so that she wouldn't be the only one punished for wetting her futon. Now that's genius, folks. The first opening scene when Horo told us of his birth and introduced his family drew me in. The race in the last ep lead to a satisfying conclusion. Ayase Haruka delivered a noteworthy performance: much love! Of course, Oguri Shun shines the way he always does. This wasn't too much of a tearjerker, but the script, the direction, the pacing and the overall plot combines powerfully to make this one of my all time favourite dramas. Highly recced to anyone looking to be touched by a sweet show. |

I've always enjoyed family-based Jdoramas. The Japanese producers are really good at winning tears from the audience. The values potrayed in the drama are simple yet meaningful. Excellent performances by the young actors & actresses. They really touched me. And Uta-chan is so cute!!!!!! I would want a daughter like her...hahaha! A nice & heart-warming drama. Highly-recommended! |

July 2005: Too many characters in this drama, too many 'deep' meaning dialogues, although the scriptwriter is the well known Shinji Nojima, just dun hav the urge to watch the next episode. The children are cute and talented, but what a waste cus the adult cast were great too, some parts were touching, and boring at the same time.... |

Not Bad!! The drama grows more on you the more you watch it, and from halfway through it becomes rather addictive actually. I really liked Gou's character, he's a true brother. And not to mention he gets all the screen time with the lovely Erika, in one of her debut dramas :P. A decent family drama. |

Powerful family combination, Rynosuke's so adorable as Hojo in this one!
Left me in tears each time, but feels like it can go on, for the only conclusion would be the death of the mother, but it continues after that...

A charming little story about how life goes on, and your family sticks together through it all, no matter what happens. Nothing that horrifically occurs during the story really, but life is usually not that tragic, and that's the point. Very impressive. |
