Itoshi Kimie [愛し君へ]
A very depressing drama which delivers a great message. Good acting by the cast and a plot that compels u to keep watching.
Kamisama mou sukoshi dake [神様、もう少しだけ]
My favourite Japanese drama. A great ost, a slightly controversial story and a brilliant cast. Takeshi Kaneshiro's monologue in the beginning is one of my favourite lines in a Japanese drama. That few lines sums up his character before he met Masaki, and gradually you see the thawing of his character as the story progresses. Kyoko Fukada is convincing in her role as an aimless teenager before she knew her time was limited. Sometimes it does take something like that before you realise what you have been missing and what you are searching for.
Koori no sekai [冰の世界]
Very intense and dark drama. Very good acting by Nanako, who impresses in her slightly haughty and distant role of Egi Toko. Excellent chemistry between the two leads and a suspense story that keeps u guessing till the end.
Long vacation [ロングバケーション]
A lighthearted, motivating drama with lots of meaning. Excellent chemistry between Yamaguchi and Kimura with a wonderful ost. A drama with an ending that leaves u smiling. A classic which will be remembered years after.
Majo no jouken [魔女の条件]
Nemureru mori [眠れる森]
One of my favourite suspense dramas. Great acting from Takuya as Ito Naoki whose life was centred around Minako...a very sad but befitting ending....fans of Takuya should definitely watch this suspense-filled drama that keeps u guessing till the end
Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi [空から降る一億の星]
Brilliant acting by Takuya Kimura. Katase Ryo is perhaps the most unforgettable character I've seen in a J-drama. Dark, intense and yet vulnerable. People who love psychological dramas will prob like this.

Akanishi Jin [赤西仁]
Acting skills have improved alot esp in Anego. Looking forward to his future dramas, not to mention he's easy on the eyes too
Fujiki Naohito [藤木直人]
Very versatile actor who has proven his acting skills in dramas like Kou Kou Kyoshi 2003 & Itoshi Kimie. Acting has improved greatly since Love Revolution.
Kamenashi Kazuya [亀梨和也]
New to acting but definitely a shining star. Expect to see more dramas from him.
Kimura Takuya [木村拓哉]
From Long Vacation to Engine, Takuya Kimura has been in some of the best dramas I've seen. The only Japanese star whose dramas I buy regardless of the storyline because I can always be assured of a good performance from him.
Matsushima Nanako [松嶋菜々子]
A strong actess who has the ability to portray a wide variety of characters. One of my favourite characters from her is Egi Tohko. One of the best actresses in Japan today.
Nakama Yukie [仲間由紀恵]
First noticed her as Kaoru in Kamisama mou sukoshi dake, then as yankumi in Gokusen. Gorgeous actress who is great at acting.
Shibasaki Kou [柴咲コウ]
Upcoming actress who has the ability to portray both good or evil characters. Lots of potential.

Anego [アネゴ]
Rating: 7/10 (Bought)
I watched this drama and find myself wanting very much to know how it ended. A little let down by the ending but nonetheless a great drama which u find yourself relating to the lead actress. Some very touching moments in the show and also hilarious esp when they type out the characters' inner thoughts...a must see.
Itoshi Kimie [愛し君へ]
Rating: 9/10 (Bought)
Was pleasantly surprised. A very realistic drama that can be uncompromising as it shows how people would react to someone's misfortune. A very interesting situation, would u allow yourself to love someone whom u know is going blind? A must-watch.

Rating: 10/10 (Bought & Watched)

An absolute classic. A drama every j-dorama fan should watch. A bitter-sweet tale of friendship, aspirations and love, which everyone can relate to.
Love Revolution [ラブレボリューション]
Rating: 8/10 (Bought)
Majo no jouken [魔女の条件]
Rating: 8/10 (Bought & Watched)
A touching story which focuses more on Michi's point of view. I would actually like to see more thoughts of Hikaru. Nanako shines in her role of a oppressed teacher who restrains her own personality.
Orange Days [オレンジデイズ]
Rating: 6/10 (Bought)
Alot of people seem to like this dorama. For me this dorama started out great but it seemed to drag off towards the middle & end. I would say that it's overrated, but a great performance by kou shibasaki nonetheless.
Pride [プライド]
Rating: 6/10 (Bought)
Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi [空から降る一億の星]
Rating: 9/10
An intense, powerful performance by Takuya Kimura as the morally ambiguous Katase Ryo. A must-watch for every Takuya fan. While Takuya will always be remembered as Senna in LV, it will be this role that showcases his acting range.

Itoshi Kimie [愛し君へ]
Very touching [Rating: 9/10]
A very good drama that is sadly overshadowed by Orange Days of the same season. It's a touching and mellow love story without being overly melodramatic. A story told more from Shiki's (Kanno Miho) POV and she does a very good job as the very selfless and likeable Shiki who never gave up on Shinsuke. The superb cast, esp Shiki's family and friends, is another reason to watch this drama. One of the better dramas I have watched the last few years.
Pride [プライド]
Disappointing [Rating: 6/10]
Very disappointed with this drama. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Takuya fan but this drama is stale and melodramatic. Not much acting skills needed from Takuya since such characters should be easy for him to portray. A drama that is perhaps pleasant enough to watch but ultimately forgettable.
Sora Kara Furu Ichioku no Hoshi [空から降る一億の星]
Best drama from Takuya [Rating: 9/10]
A deep pyschological drama with a superb cast. Takuya Kimura shows his acting range in this drama, as the morally ambiguous Katase Ryo. For both Takuya Kimura critics and fans. Takuya's portrayal of Katase Ryo is at times chilling in his nonchalance and yet enables viewers to sympathise with his sometimes childlike innocence as he plays and manipulates the people around him to forget his own emptiness. Also, he did a very job portraying Ryo's sense of fear and uncertainty when he started to fall in love with Yuko. All in all, a very highly recommended drama which compels you to think and ponder, unlike some of the fluff out there.
