In case you've not noticed, I've included an english-japanese dictionary in the search box above.

Just select "Dictionary" in the first box, and choose between Japanese SJIS, Romaji only, or English only. (Romaji/English works, but its slower)

e.g. lets say you want to search for what "kanojo" stands for. You could input the following:

1) "�ޏ�", and set the language to Japanese SJIS

2) "kanojo", and set language to Romaji only

If you have the English word and wish to find the Japanese equivalent,

3) "girl friend", and set language to English only

The dictionary is a compilation created by Jim Breen of Monash University. The original format was in Japanese EUC encoding, but I've converted it to Shift-JIS. You can find out more from here:

Some time has past since the last reply ^_^
However I want to suggest this page to all Japanese learners and interested ppl :

It translates besides singe words, whole sentences !!
eng - japanese , japanese - eng
japanese - korean , korean - japanese
japanese - chinese , chinese - japanese
so pretty nice page...
