I'm actually in Sydney and there's a Kinokuniya in the city, there used to be a whole shelf of photobooks, which was good. But there was only one of Rina (and I had no money back then), there were a lot of Fukada Kyoko, Ryoko Hirosue, Aya Ueto... but now, for some really weird reason, they've reduced it to half the shelf and there are no more of Rina. But the others that I've mentioned above are still there...so I guess that's a good sign, in a way... well hoping for the best

there's this other j-bookstore, a small one inside Mitsuwa J-food market, and they used to have a small number of good photobooks, for some reason, they stopped carry any photobooks, and now have none. photobooks outside japan are very hard to find. Maybe a very very small number of them in Kinokuniya bookstores, not much though. Maybe you can order the ones you want online, but that is not even a guarantee, best way is to go to Japan and shop, and then you can find all you want. _________________
Chotto, you went to Kinokuniya SJ the other day?? I went there at lunch time.
I browsed the magazine section for anything with Rina. Didn't see any.
Yeah, i went there last Friday, and again on Wednesday, near closing time. I bought a few magazines, one of which was a beauty mag of Nana on the cover, i told my friend he should get Can Can mag of Yu Yamada, cause she is popular now and hot, saw her all over plaster on walls and stuff in japan, it was like she was omni-present or something...
did you get anything at the SJ Kinokuniya? dang, they didn't have hardly anything on photobooks, maybe a good one on Yu Yamada if i remember correctly, but didn't get it. They don't have any good j-idol mag's like bomb mag or sabra mag, the one near my place, Sanseido Bookstore inside Mitsuwa has some of them sometimes. The Kinokuniya in LA had some too, of course i had to get them. _________________

I think I saw that one. I could be wrong.

Nope, just browsed the magazine section looking for Frau, and anything else with Rina.
Did you try the Kinokuniya in SF? I think they had more photobooks than the one in SJ.
actually, i just went to SF with my friend for the purpose of going to Kinokuniya and having a good japanese dinner in japantown there. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have hardly any photobooks, one on aya ueto, a few on morning musume's aya matuura, and a few others, no good bikini-idol's or anything...
The magazine section didn't have much, i did buy Ai Otsuka's cd, her 2004 cd, and i bought a beauty magazine, NonNo of Kyoko Fukada on the cover, another one of my favorite j-idols. _________________

yeah, didn't see anything on Frau Mag or Rina in either of the four kinokuniya's in the past week, SF, SJ, and OC, and LA. I guess i cannot really check Seattle's or NY's, but i don't think they have much either. Bookoff, which is a used j-bookstore, and known in japan as well, they have one near Marukai j-market in OC and i went there and found Nana's Telepathy cd for $15 and some older photobooks, don't think i found any on rina, but i will go there probably next week to check it out again, i think they had a decent section of older photobooks, most i seen from all the stores combined. _________________
They had it, except it wasn't the issue sought after. It was a couple of weeks old. I'm sure it'll come in, though.
so who will be on the upcoming latest Frau mag, Ryoko? Rina?
my bad, forgot....
anyhow, yeah must've glance over it and didn't really noticed it, what kind of mag is it? what section is it in?
SJ kinokuniya mag. section is a little bigger than OC's Kino.
will keep an eye out for it in my area. _________________

No, no Rina in it. It has Ryoko on it, though. I think it talks about her newest CM for Takano Yuri. There's a link in her thread. And it would be in the women's section, or the Air Mail section.

ah, the women's section, a good section to check out some nice girls. hey can't help to notice Nana this past week, had to get it, didn't think twice, and it had a section on her in there,
Can Can mag w/ Yu on the cover, that has a lot of girls in it too, didn't see rina or ryoko in it though.
Ryoko's newest cm? how'd you guys find out about her being on Frau this upcoming month?
it was funny, when i was in japan i saw some of these beauty mag, j-idol sabra mag, and a few weeks later it is finally out here, air-mail and a bit more expensive. _________________

No doubt, dude. If you like Japanese magazines, it's best to stock up when you're in the country. Getting it here, you pay a premium for them to ship it by air.

yeah totally, bought this one rare race queen mag in japan, glad i got it too, and a few others, tried to stock up while i was there, plus a lot of photobooks as well.
yeah, they jack up the price and they are also very hard to find, but in japan, they are everywhere, and are cheaper, i just love there bookstores, six or more levels of books to look at, and a very big section of photobooks in all bookstores.. _________________
Shinjuku has two Kinokuniyas, one old one and one newer one a block down the street, I've been to both of them and each bookstore has six or more levels, that's were i got most of my photobooks from.
The date on the mag is June 20, but I thought the mags get released earlier than the printed date....
june 20th? yeah, thought the stores carry it before the date on the magazine, anyhow, it should be out soon, do you know if they only carry one copy, i know they have lots of extra copies of the other beauty mag's, some other mag's they carry only that one copy, don't know why, maybe less of a demand for that particular mag. _________________
