Just finished watching the series and i gotta say its one of my most favorite of the few I have watched. I loved how I myself could relate to the nerdy otaku anime loving densha and how he couldn't find a girl. I also liked that it was an up to date drama. It was awesome and I'm sad to see it end Shameful Cry . I hope they come out with a second season Fingers crossed . "Dakara" until then I will have to settle with the alternative ending and wait for the move w00t! .

I totally agree with your opinion. I would also like to know if there will be a second season Fingers crossed
Anyone here who has some information about this? Sweat

I don't have any information, but from pure speculation, I expect one to be made considering the high ratings this one had.

But what could be the story ? I think the ratings were high because a lot of people could relate to the otaku, who were a queer lot until now.

I dont think they should make a second season. It s hard to make a spin off of this show seeing how well it was made. We should all respect this show and leave it as is. As many know, sequels are hard to make to live up to such a highly rated show. So lets just leave it alone. well thats what i think.

I agree with Kyaman-san, look at the GTO special and Hotman2 as examples where the sequel wasn't nearly as good as the original.

All valid points, but whenever there's been high ratings, they (the Japanese stations) somehow find a way to create a sequel. Sweat

dochira right usuallly a highly rated show will end up having a sequel if not a bunch of specials and or movies. The densha otoko movie should feature the original tv series cast and not fresh newbie faces.

gokusen 2 was made and i loved it but i think in some ways it came short of my expectations. Some of the scenerios are close to those in the first season. I still give it a 10.

And gto had 2 specials and a movie. I was almost like watching the first anime series. I thought that they had good lessons for life and i enjoyed the comediatrics but still, the original series was better and should have atleast i dunno finished it off tastefully. I still give it 2 thumbs up. Its like watching a really awesome anime and then it just cuts off and doesnt conclude with great expectations. Like a chic is saved from death and returns home where all her friends greet her and cut thats it.

Like WTF!! Does she continue to live with her dream man or do her friends
stay linked together or what happened to this person and what happened to that guy. what? Huh what?

So densha should set a new type of standard to great shows thereof and to be as a single series show.

i really hope they don't make a sequel though....as great as the show was, it's so peculiar....the novelty of it wears away quickly. i mean i don't want to see all those otakus all over again.....it'll feel very played out.

I finalllllllly watched this drama. Big Grin What a great show! Man this show was just hilarious. There were some parts where I couldn't stop laughing. What a great cast too. I think the great supporting actors and actresses really made this drama. The guy who played Kazuya was hilarious, Shiraishi Miho was awesome, and the list goes on.

Like some of you, I'm not sold on a sequel though. If they do make it, I hope its has completely different characters, as I just have a feeling that if they continued with the first series characters, it would ruin the image that the original worked so hard to achieve. (Meteor Garden 2 comes to mind -_-)

Hai! Hai! Hai! I wouldnt mind a sequel if they used different cast members and changed the story abit like mukodono.

great series! the cast was really something. Itoh Atsushi was REALLY good playing the trainman, all his shaking and stuff, awesome. Itoh Misaki was really cute, especially when she said "Mo-e" when she went to Akibahara with Densha. Toyohara Kosuke who played Saukrai was prob the funniest character in this drama. Its so funny seeing him planning all this stuff and end up failing miserably in the end.

great series. highly recommended.

I am not so hyped about a possible sequel, but if so i would like to see fresh characters and a different but similar story line. I am watching the special for like the 8th time.

I enjoy the fact that the hanshin tiger sports fan got to hook it up and the background sound was pure bliss for me to listen to. that scene and song gives me a little hope in my future love hunting adventures.

but that song just sends me right into dream mode and i wish that i could get a girl like he did. I think he was suprised that she said yes, i mean i would be to if i asked a chick to be with me cause i ll make her happy and then she says yes. I'd be crying instead of laughing too.

and matsunagashi sucks but did his best and got a second chance. ganbatte yo mastunagashi and tiger-san.

I hope kaho-chan will find a boyfriend as well. remember she was to go out with hermes brother.

and jinkamas darth vader theme was hilarious. I liked the part where she hid under denshas sheets and nut crackered him into rejecting oikawa sans offer.
