Yeah.... i just dont like the look of that senpai... scares me a bit...

Hi ! I am new on this forum (although I have been surfing on this site for months). I just wanted to say a few words about this drama I've discovered recently. I've just finished watching the first 3 episodes and I have to say I could not help myself !

SPOILER !!! SPOILER !!!
Episodes 1 was interesting, episode 2 was heart moving, but episode 3 was heart breaking. When aya discovers on the net what her illness is, or when Dr Mizuno (Fujiki N.) makes this confession Aya's mother. These were truly heart breakin moments... I couldn't stop crying all along. And God knows how Aya's classmates will react in next episode.

The fact that this drama was based upon a real story makes this truly heart moving and thought provoking. Actually, I was unaware such illness could exist, and I have to say... well... oh God... this must be terrible for people suffering from this illness, especially when they are fully aware of what they are experiencing, when they know they can't do anything against it or when they cannot even express how they feel !
I also have to say Sawajiri Erika's performance is great. I would have never imagine she was able to perform like this, like a true actress. Let's face it : most of japanese teen actror/actress don't cry on screen (I guess they don't know how to). But Sawajiri does. And she does quite well : it definitely adds a true deep emotional dimension to her performance. I am very impressed, because I thought she was only one of those "teen idols" Japan produces each month, but I am glad to realize I was wrong and that she has a strong potential as an actress.
Depending on the rest of the series, I may eventually buy the japanese DVD.

does anyone have "konayuki" of remioromen (i dunno the spelling)

Thanks kioku fansub group for the subs. I really don't need them, because my Japanese is alright, but I need them sometimes, especially when they're talking about the medical terms.

Wow! This really is the best drama of the season. Though I love the "fun" stuff like Kiken na Aneki and HYD, this is by far the most moving drama I've seen since Sekachuu. It probably tops it in terms of tragedy, though.

Minna, can someone post some SPOILEr from the 4th episode? or at least brief synopsis of the 4th ep, my connection's little bit "shaky" these past few days, don't know when it will come as usual..

and what's wrong with the senpai? I'm curious, coz it seems the relationship between aya and her senpai are getting intense. Makes me wonder, will there be any romance between aya and haruto...

Sempai invites her out to see the fireworks during the summer. She slips and falls and goes to the hospital. There, Dr. Mizuno says she needs to stay in the hospital for physical therapy and treatment because her illness is rapidly getting worse. Sempai bows to peer pressure and cancels their date to the zoo on his birthday. Asou is going to see her at the hospital but she leaves to go on her date (the doctor had a heart and let her out for just that one day). She leaves just before getting the phone call from sempai telling her he's not coming to the zoo. Asou hears about this from the doctor and rushes to the zoo to tell her (that she's getting stood up). It starts raining. Asou is there with an umbrella. She says it's alright that she got stood up by sempai, then she starts to cry. It looks like he's about to cry, too. Episode ends with one of those haunting quotes. This one saying that "I wish I could build a time machine so I could go back in time. If I didn't have this kind of disease, I could probably fall in love . I want to hold onto someone. This is so unbearable."

I really like this dorama.. i was so touched by the story.. even though we know that aya will die in the end... and i find the girl who act aya was so cute.. and also ryo did a good job as haruto, I also looking for two songs sang by Remioromen (i think).. one of the song appeared everytime when aya and haruto are together... does anyone have it?? The preview of the next episode looks more sad.. as Aya begin to show more of the symptons of her illness.

Yeah...that sempai is really annoying me --__--...... I wonder if he's a real character there...or a fictional one too...'coz if he's not fictional then......ugh....
