Ah stop complaining so much. This is not a drama festival where everything must be correct and fair. You'll feel better if you treat this as a popularity ranking just like all internet based polls are.
The reason why there's so many JE among the nominees is because the ppl hanging around and are active in this forum likes JE.
If you feel outnumbered then you don't belong to the majority hence not many ppl share your taste of drama. Beat You

Maybe you're not reading my post above I did try to stop them and I consider this over. So don't start again ok? We're trying to reach a fair judgment.

I don't want to see this kind of post anymore if anyone still feel like accusing each side then I have to lock this thread temporarily until the real result of the award is out.

After that no more complains too and I shall not tolerate others to complain the end result of the awards.

I hope this will be a good lesson for the topic starter and for everyone too.

Still have until January 7th to PM votes right?

Anyhow noticed that there were a lot of categories relating to actors/actresses which probably accounts for the skewed votes towards JE actors/actresses.

For next year perhaps include some more categories relating to the story itself. Categories like:

* originality
* cinematography (I noticed some directors go out of the way to capture the mood of certain scenes)
* scenes themselves.

Having more of these would force the voters to look at the story itself instead of focusing solely on actors/actresses.

Me again.

I never thought this thread would illicit so much traffic and controversy.

Still in LA, enjoying a Pink's hotdog. Will start counting votes as soon as I get home. Oh yeah, my laptop's acting crazy.

Live and learn. Things to consider for the New Year.

Happy New Year to Everyone.

Controversies & flares of temper are inevitable in the voting processes. I suppose if everyone thinks alike there wouldn't be a need for votes. After all, we all would choose the same thing.

Y'know, it would help if you would stop propagating another flame war here.

Keep it up and I'm gonna lock this thing down for good.

And that's a promise.

Two things

1. bmwracer I'm sorry to have put you through this. As I said in an earlier post, I didn't see this coming.

2. People, be considerate. The thread was reopened for the discussion of the nominees. Well, yeah, you are discussing them, but not in the way they were meant to be. I shouldn't have let Mike reopen this thread. I should have just had it locked after we posted the nominees. Well, I'm going to PM him right now and let him know that the thread will be only reopened to post the winners.

*edit: thanks for the votes! My inbox is almost full of them! Smile
edit edit: don't want to be misunderstood here...

Ok, perhaps I am talking to a relic here who has no consideration for others, Instead of being considerate with others who post in this thread too you're just coming here and ruining everything. It was calm again after I put a warning and you came to make things worse which I believe you deliberately want to create a drama. This place is not for drama queen but for members to share their thoughts in healthy debates.

Everyone seems to have agreed that they will just take it easy until you arrived and posted unnecessary stuffs that we all have agreed to lay it low. It is a pity for this thread and to everyone that because of one inconsiderate person the whole original meaning of making a healthy debate was ruined.

No, you may have to promise for next year for not acting like a drama queen and pretend that you are innocent from all of these and be more considerate to other members.

I will lock this thread temporarily until the result is out.

littlemissfab you can either pm bmwracer or me to unlock it whenever you are ready with the result.

No need to apologize... It's not your fault.

There's just people here who have no idea what it is to be part of a community and act responsibly, be considerate, and be unselfish.

And the rest of us have to suffer for it.

MINNA-SAMA!! Here are the results of the awards! Truly apologizing for the delay of the results, we were thinking of making it prettier, but due to time constraints and scheduling conflicts, this is the best that we came up with. To everyone who voted, thank you very much from the bottom of our hearts. There were 60+ people who participated actively and we cannot express our gratitude for those who took their time and voted. .like kyoko fukada being ranked #11 ahead of a multitude of more talented male and female artists...it's laughable....but you take in to account the demographics of the voting pool and other confounding factors and you realize why that's the case. Wink

After reading pages of posts, complaints and controversy about the voting results. (I didnt bother to vote myself lol)

But this one post grabbed me.

Is Fukada really ranked #11?

She's the Brittany Spears of Japan!! rofl rofl

No question about demographics on this one...... hehe hehe
