i'm actually glad the magazine is going to be sued..... happy... that's the punishment for framing someone else... dont try it again....dont even think of it...

I didn't watch it ...I couldn't bring myself to watch it because I read the sypnosis for every single episode and got to know the ending. I am scared I'll be crying non-stop. Hence I have also yet to watch 1 Litre of Tears..... It's just sitting there on my shelve.
Regarding Kame's rumoured drinking, I am glad it's all over now ^^ And it's a good thing that JE is going to sue the magazine that printed it Sue them!! sue them!!....How dare they try to defame Kame-chan...

Glad to know that Johnny is doing something about this. Sometimes the media does get out of hand.
Since I am quite new at this I am hoping that someone will help me out here. Does anyone know if this is the usual way Johnny handle scandal like this? I mean, if the idol did do it (such as Uchi, and I have heard something about Goro in the past too), then they get suspended. If an idol did not do it (such as Kame), then the other party will be pursued legally. If this theory is correct, then how does the treatment to Kusano falls in this (he was suspended not for doing it but for misleading the public)? I would appreciate it if "older" fans could give me some guidance.

ah.. i'm not one of the older fans.. ermz i wanted to gush on how i excited i am right now over kat-tun single cd and dvd.. but then it wouldnt be nice to just skip ur post...
hm.. for kusano incident.. even though johnny denied for him, but there were rumours saying that the magazine actually caught kusano in the act ( on a video) but they released pictures showing him "puttin the beer can to his mouth" not drinkin it yet... maybe johnny send kusano in reflection period to let things die down a little.. and they can deal with the magazine in private or sth..
for kame's case.. i guess they magazine didnt have anymore proof except for the stupid photo they posted up..
ah but please correct me if i am wrong

Well, I'm assuming the picture they took of Kusano putting the can to his mouth is actually a beercan. One could even refute if that's even enough proof. For the sake of it, I can understand why that counts instead of Kame just sitting in front of a table which has a beerglas on it instead of holding it to his lips.
Uchi probably has 'drunk' with the promilage from the breath test in the police report so that can't be denied. I don't know if they did one, but they should have. (doh)
Nonetheless, with all due respect, if a severe punishment is due when you hold it against your lips but legal action against the publisher is taken when you're sitting in front of a glass of beer is a world of extremes. The extremity of it, is my first complaint.
Here is my second, enforcing to the first: What are they going to do when a Johnny <20 gets his picture taken while holding a beer for his older friend that happened to have his hands full at the time?? How many times have you done that in your life? At least once right!? A lot of you will recognize the situation. Kame said the beer was from his grandpa he was visiting at the time. What if he was holding it for granpa? IMHO, when do you actually loose your credibility as a Johnny, and do they even know that exactly themselves?
There's a difference in the way fans react per say because of the difference they interpret the world themselves. Some call Kusano stupid because:
- that's the law.
- that's what you have to deal with when you're an idol.
- that's the way the real world is.
They only see the isst (what is).
Then there's a breed of people that see what should be (soll). You may call em idealists I suppose. Commonly, they believe the following:
- consistency
- everyone should be treated the same in the eyes of law (idol included) - which is not the case.
- more inclined to prefer common sense and what is reasonable (natural law).
The approach to any situation always lies somewhere in the middle, and that leaves no room for extremes. I'm more of a "soll" person because if everyone only looks at what is (which is accepting) there is no progress. It's an impasse. The only isst I can find myself in for this situation is "that's what you have to deal with when you're an idol". Why? Because I'm a salary worker and Kusano gets to be an idol. Many younger fans won't understand that "jealousy" at full. IMHO, I have no problem if they caught Kusano ass-drunk and punished him. I will get a nasty feeling about it (because of my soll nature) if he just got a taste of that beer and wasn't even lightheaded.
