Hmm.. I think the database is having some integrity problems Bleah Meaning, some conflicts of data exists, probably caused by deletion of posts without proper update of number of posts in the thread.

It looks like a hiccup to you coz it'll only happen for the last few posts of each page. After more posts, it reverts to normal until the end of the next page again. Sad

Lemme see what I can do...

Ok, thanks. Actually it only happened to me twice and it was in the same thread and in the same page. I guess it's not so bad. Smile

Just a little info on why it was down earlier today. Smile Ruroshin msg

There was a control panel bug that prevented the collection of stats and bandwidth usage. This required an upgrade of perl and among other things to fix. Once that was fixed the weblog process that collects the stat was running again but since it had to do a catchup for all the days it missed it ran for quite a while which caused the server to slow down a bit. This in turn caused the DB server to start slowing down an hence couldn't process all the requests in time and this resulted in the automatic monitoring process to autokill it to prevent it from grinding the server to a complete halt. Afterwards the DB auto restarted but jdorama was just unlucky that it had a corrupted session row and refused to startup (other phpbb sites on the server went up ok). So I went in and truncated that row and all is well again.

So thats what happen :-)

I saw it. Really a hot one Thumbsup . Needs some resizing though if you plan to make it as your sig.

The only limitation is the width of 500 pixels. Wink

hi!!

Don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but to get some suggestion.
It seemed that i have had hard time to enter this website. I would gotten this message when i entered this site "Site currently unavailable. Apologies for the inconvenience".
And when i sent pm to someone i would gotten this error "could not connect to smtp host : 111 : Connection refused". Don't know what cause all the these error. Hopefully some of you don't have these problem.

~thanks

if i click on the links to the forum index, it'll still give that error, but if i scroll to the bottom and select which forum to go to, it actually takes me there. yay!

there's an unusually large amount of traffic to the site's index page causing the db to overload. If you notice you have a new record now Most users ever online was 925 on 27 Feb 2006 07:59 pm and that was just for a very small period of time.

I don't know why you're suddenly getting all these traffic but the server just can't handle that amount of load. With that amount you're either gonna need a dual cpu server with lots of ram or a whole dedicated DB server. (D-A gets about 300-400 users in a 5min period and it needs a dedicated DB server).

So thats why I've disabled the index page but every other page still works so the regulars can still use the site its just to stop the new traffic from killing the DB.

Ok. Thanks. 925!?! That's a lot. I never saw more than 150 at least 100 guests. The previous record was 491 on Wed Jul 06, 2005 at 6:14am. Big Grin

Where are these new people come from? Head Scratch
