The site was undergoing migration to another machine. The new IP is 208.101.46.249.

Sorry for the downtime. =/

I am getting this error here and there. A simple refresh fixes it most of the time:

Should be fine now. We were moving the database across to different locations. For a few hours they were located in different states. Now all should be fine?

Can someone help??? I'm so desperate!!!
I can't get inside jdorama properly nowadays.. When I go into jdorama.com, there will be this message:"We have migrated JDorama.com to a new location... If its too complicated for you, please be patient and wait out a day or two. The new server should provide better speeds now. Smile"
And when I go to another direct link there will be this message:"Sorry, but this board is currently unavailable. Please try again later."
So right now i'm using this page : http://208.101.46.249/
But whenever I log in, I get sent to the jdorama page with that message.
So can someone please help???!!!

Talk to your isp about them not caching dns so long, it's an issue with them.

Seems like that isp caches dns for a very long time, they should correct their issue not just once but for good.

I think you may need to contact them again and ask them to stop caching dns for such along time, this can cause ALOT of problems not just on this website but anyone else who changes their dns records.

Well, I'd tell them the problem. A web site changed IP address 1 week or 2 ago and you are still being forward to the old IP. Giving them the url and IP address might solve the problem faster.

Between you and me, they have a really bad configuration and problably should fire a few techs. Wink hehe

There are tools for DNS (like the Unix command "dig") that allow you to query a nameserver and see what it thinks the timeouts are for things like address records. Which is to say, it's probably possible to figure out just where the old bogus information lives, so you can complain to the appropriate administrator. Usually when DNS caching issues happen, it's on the client machine, but if you rule that out, then it's likely to be a problem with the nameservers you use. If you tell me what nameservers you use, I can look at them with dig and see if they really are the problem.

Or if you want to try it yourself, you could take a look at the DIG Howto, which explains how to interpret the mysterious dig output and understand the timeout values (called TTL == "time to live").

Oh yeah. I forgot about it. Used it a few times on linux. Did a little search and found a port for Windows, but didn't test it.

Do you run Windows XP? I'm strictly a Linux person myself, so I can try to help, but I hope I don't make a mistake.

I googled for instructions for XP, and it looks like the command to show your nameservers is "ipconfig /all".
(Click Start...Run....cmd....then type ipconfig /all at the command prompt).

Give that a try and let me know what your nameservers are. Or post the output if you don't understand it. And if you don't run XP, then tell us what OS you are running, and we can look up the instructions for it.

Hopefully, when we know your nameservers, I can query them with the dig command to see if they are using reasonable timeouts. If they are, then we know we have to continue looking elsewhere for the cause of your problem. If they aren't reasonable, then we have to contact your ISP to see what's up. It could take a little time and patience, but I'm sure we can get things sorted.

Or you could try your ISP help desk again. It really is their responsibility to make sure their users have good network connections.

Ok, The post above about how to find namservers on XP was by me again.

This time I logged in, entered my post, did a preview, didn't notice I'd been logged out, so when I posted, it was as guest. It's weird I was logged out so quickly. Head Scratch

Maybe you have cookies disabled on your browser by default? I highly doubt that's the problem, but it's worth a shot, I guess.
