Well, I don't pirate movies since they are so cheap. But did see that a hard-subbed Love & Pop is being torrented at a favorite site (that usually doesn't have this type of torrent).

Love & Pop is pretty cool. It's got a young Nakama Yukie. The filmography is pretty unique. They say it's "cheaply done". But it looks good (at least on the purchased DVD).

Love & Pop is excellent indeed. I heard the R1 dvd is non-anamorphic, which is totally gonna ruin the widescreen shots... Got the anamorphic R2J (1st release) myself. The second R2J is non-anamorhic as well, but features an extra scene.

About Linda x3, I thought the film was great. The only real problem was the awful ending. Aki Maeda was cuter than ever and Bae Doo-na's performance was so great. I also loved the live footage on the dvd. Worth the price of the dvd alone. Some screencaps:

Hmmm... I've got the Region 1 version. So the R2 is actually even better... That's cool. Even the Region 1 is very unique in terms of the way the picture looks. It's not the shots or the angles, it's the actual quality of picture.

R2J's are gonna put me into bankruptcy. Just pre-ordered Dragon Princess (remastered), Sister Street Fighter: Fifth Level Fist and Truck Yarou 5 (shinichi chiba vs bunta sugawara) (low priced re-issue). And I still need to get Tokugawa Onna Keizu and Meiji Taisho Showa Ryoki Onna Hanzaishi (I have the other three from the collection). And then there's the Stray Cat Rock box set by Nikkatsu. And lets not forget Abarashi Prisons and Red Peony Gambler series. Damn Toei. Bye bye my money...

Finally finished Smile YAY!

For anyone who cares to know, that Linda Linda Linda torrent IS a DVD rip, and has been encoded wirh DivX. It has 2 audio tracks, the normal Japanese track and what appears to be a commentary track. You can select which track to listen to by clicking on the DivX icon in the System Tray and selecting the tracks in the Audio Tracks menu. I guess i'll have to select the correct track when I burn it to DVD Smile

so THAT'S WHY ppl kept saying they were hearing voices in the background....i didn't hear jack.....that's why i was like what's everybody talking about? i guess i didn't pick the audio commentary track so i never realized there was a problem.
