Kaneshiro stars in adaptation of Isaka's "Shinigami no Seido" Kotaro Isaka's novel "Shinigami no Seido" is being turned into a movie, starring Takeshi Kaneshiro. It will be the actor's first domestic film since "Returner" in 2002. Kaneshiro plays the role of Chiba, a death god in human form. Whenever he is assigned a candidate for death, he spends a week with the person to make his final decision. Rain follows him everywhere he goes, and because his direct touch causes people to faint, he always wears white gloves. As an avid music lover, he spends his free time sampling CDs in music shops. Manami Konishi plays the heroine, an OL targeted for judgment. Sumiko Fuji has also been cast. Masaya Kakehi is directing, and Warner Brothers will distribute the picture next spring. Looks like Kira Kira didn't do any major damage

Hi all, Saw the review on the latest drama kira kira kenshui and Konitan's first lead drama did not seem to have a good rating?? Have anyone watched it? Am still waiting for the VCD/DVD version to come out before I grab the show... Well, bad drama or not I will still buy it!! Personally I feel (since it is a comedy drama?) it cannot get any worst then the first drama she starred (not lead, supporting), fukaku mogure... hehehe.. I really hope she can get better drama for her leading roles, she is just soo good!

I just hope the plot is enough to keep me going on... I do agree that she deserves better... Puppy Dog Eyes

It's a pity that her drama as a lead didn't turn to be that good a plot... her supporting roles in other dramas would have surpassed it, I guess... Shameful Cry

The plot is pretty standard... The writers just didn't give her role enough meat. Sweat

This could have been a good drama, but for whatever reason, there are times when it seems like they're aiming at the 10-12 age group, and that just undercuts everything when they try to be serious. Several talented actors here (Manami, Ryo, Namase Katsuhisa) have their efforts wasted.
