okay, i have different opinion. The album, is not good. simply mediocre. if i were to choose, i'd definitely buy the Weeeek single. the new songs in the album are not good at all. very boyband-ish with the usual tone and... you know how it goes. Kimi Omou Yoru for an example, hate it. The songs that are good in the album are the songs that are already released in single formats. Hadashi no Cinderella Boy, Hoshi wo Mezashite, TEPPEN, and Sayaendou.

The solos and duet are good. hmm... how should i put it... they sound 'fresh'. Ryo's solo and Shige&Koyama's duet are . i have to say yamapi's solo is kinda lame. Ryo's especially. best song in the album IMO.

but that's just my opinion. different people different taste.

As regards to the album, can you say "rip-off"? God, it just reeks of daylight robbery. I mean, it's more like JE were thinking that NEWS fans are desperate for an album, so, why not just recycle old songs, insert unrecorded songs, put them all on a cd and call it an album. Yes, I want an album.. NO, I don't want garbage.

Before you kill me, I don't mean that the songs are all rubbish (though monta would probably say that *runs away*). It's just that.... they're not new. I know some of you are happy that the solo concert songs are on it (yeah, I love Ryo's , and yes, I would've been ecstatic if Snow Express had been on it I'm wishy-washy like that ), but, I'm of the opinion that concert songs are meant to be just that, songs they sing at concerts. If every single song they sing is included in albums, then concerts are no longer special. At most, make them B sides of singles (for gods sake, if they want to make LEs of singles, at least make them more special), don't put them in albums. That's what makes me think that the album was something rushed, so as not to lose the moment, the opportunity to grab the interests of NEWS fans who are dying for a new album.

And releasing both single and album together? Soooo not clever. NEWS aren't.... the Beatles to be able to pull of something like that.

Seeing that this is all I have to say after being gone for a long time, I'm definitely not going to be top of anyone's favourite person list, am I?

haha!! i was laughing so hard reading all your comments minna and i'm not mad at all or anything i mean it's your opinion anyway i actually appreciate it...made me realize that uhuh it's not really as good as i thought it is.. i'm just happy that they have a new album so i though it's really really good since it's their first album after they've disbanded i thought it was something special but anyway it's good that i didn't buy the album haha!! though it was sold out already hmmm...

Actually, I was about to agree with you! Even 1/3 of Kanjani8's concerts made up of songs that won't ever be in an album and that makes them special. (Well trust me me to put Eito into this). But to come back to NEWS, it wasn't just about the songs already sung in the concert, but the fact that the album feels very BSB-like to me, very rip-off from the types of music that BSB & N'Sync did, and seeing that comment coming from me, I must have gone past that BSB & N'Sync era! I just didn't realize that JE are still in that bygone era Well if you enjoy that type of cheesy pop then I won't say anything, it's really up to everybody's taste. But to me, the album is just blah and the only songs I really enjoy are code & Ai Nante.

hey, i never knew that these were concert songs since i don't watch NEWS concert (yet ). so i guess the album is a total crap. no new songs at all . and somebody bought 4 (okay, don't shoot me, but if i were you i'd shoot myself all that money...). But if you're a huge news fan then whatever. your money anyway. and yes yes, me likes Ryo's Code the most too...

i like the Weeeek single album, especially Weeeek itself. LOL. that song Why where they try to sing in english (oh wait, they're already singing in english ). Although i have to say if you listen/understand the english part only, it sounds strange and doesn't make sense. With Me and Rainbow are okay. not my kind of songs though. sooo bayband-crap-ish

WD, LOL, i actually think Ai Nante sounds the most BSB-ish

I have listern to pacific... Old song all great.. I dont want to compare teppen with or without Uchi and Kusano.. dont have time for that right now.. I just enjoy it.. ( I burn it to CD and listern it while driving to work!)

I've been pretty busy with the start of the new academic year, but I'm starting to get settled down with the rhythm already

well, not all of them are from concerts. There are some new songs, but the majority of them are old songs, so *shrug* it's up to people really what they think of that. You know what I think already

I'm not surprised they got no.1 when it was just released. Even TegoMasu managed to reach the second spot in the first week, so NEWS would definitely do better. Doubt it'll still be at the top next week though

WD: Oh lols... don't remind me of my Nsync days. Even now I sometimes wake up at night wondering why I ever liked them . Anyways, I can still take Nsync-like music, cause I feel that they're kinda a bit more upbeat. But BSB-ish ... and they're still making the same type of music *shudder*.

okay, I haven't been following them closely, but haven't Ryo and Yamapi both already dyed their hair black again for some time already? And possibly Tegoshi too? (or maybe Tegoshi's is just a darker colour then the godawful one he had before)

Fa.. now you know how long I haven't been here? I was like lost from the JE about.. 3 or 4 months. I'm moving out from KL to Melaka... so now its time to revenge back what I have lost hi hi...

people who want to buy the DVD, its sold at the cd shop in petaling street.. its soooo cheap not more than RM20!! for me, I can get discount some more so can you imagine how cheap it was? since its so cheap than I just the sales girl "why it so cheap heh?"
she just answered "Oh this one heh, people don't want to buy it since this group are NOT so popular."
